Love this Rouses! My first time trying their sushi, and it’s pretty decent for a grocery store. The rolls have a lot of rice and are kinda loose so it falls apart but still relatively good. Just be careful, most of them are mainly only cucumber, imitation crab meat, and avocado so don’t expect to get a lot of fish. They were generous with the crunchy flakes though if you like that. The sushi chefs were also nice and offered samples. They were engaging and helped me decide which ones to buy. I also like how they offer $6 sushi rolls on Tuesdays (only on certain rolls). I will definitely be back to see what they have to offer!Side note: this is my go-to bakery, floral, and wine Rouses location. It may not be the closest to me, but I feel like their selections are fresher and more up-to-date compared to other Rouses in the surrounding area. Highly recommend this location! It may be busy at times, but that’s a good sign! More customers mean it’s a good place to shop, right?!

The sushi is very good!I have tried the frozen crawfish pies. But its on my list too so.The Rouse's chicken salad is awesome.

Recently, my wife and I were in Houma for grand daughters wedding. We visited the Rouses on St Charles Street. We were greeted and welcomed to the store, and asked if they could help us find anything. They were helpful and very courteous. The staff are a plus for the store. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and welcomed us to the store and city and told us to have a safe trip back to Mobile.Thanks Rouses

i picked up a turkey and swiss poboy sandwich today for lunch,never disappoints,there must've been at least a pound of turkey on my poboy sandwich-dressed with tomatoes and lettuce and given a packet of mustard and mayonnaise (i got extra packs),i could only eat half because i got full, inexpensive (under $7),get this and you won't be disappointed or hungry 💯

Hot lunches 9.99 a pound!! Thats really high cost me $16.00 for 1 chicken breast scoop of potatoes and a scoop of something else!! NEVER AGAIN. looked like everyone in line was freaking out over the prices but still buying it. Id like to try the 4.99 breakfast bar. Fresh sushi made daily that you can get custom made.

I am most impressed with employee friendliness, & helpfulness. They are observant of customers and offer help before being asked. I love the meat department - I know that when I find a large cut of meat like a roast that I can get it cut into small roasts, or a combination of stew meat roast and ground meat. Again, the employees never make you feel like you are asking for too much when you have them prepare it while you wait or finish your shopping.

Great service two years ago! The service two years ago was a lot better than it is these days. It has gone from a five star to a three star. Management may well have changed from outstanding to average.05/02/2023Lately, I’ve seen some improvement in customer service.

Meat department "doctor's" old meat, repackages and sells. Bought ribeye today, it looked good through the packaging, nice vibrant red. Got home and opened the container, on the backside (non display side) beef was slimey, discolored, and had an odor.

I went to the deli department and have never been treated so rudely and unmannered. I had 6 deli items that I needed cut the worker slammed my products on the counter as if I bothered her by placing my order. I am far from a rude person I do believe I was raised correctly. Not only that this is your job if you don’t like working with the public then don’t. Choose another job. Don’t take it out on the customer.besides that I do like shopping At rouses . The young woman at the register was very nice her name was Katie. This was my first time coming to this Rouses market # 15 in Houma. Being new here for about a year . It’s very sad if you want to keep your customers.

Great store clean and orderly. You get greeted any time you pass an employee. They would get 5 stars from my but being a native New Yorker the deli not carrying Boars head is the stores only negative for me.

Live in Texas and was in town for graduation. Store is fantastic and I make it a point to stop by anytime we are in Houma. But, there were two employees that were running their mouths in front of the store. Did not offer any assistance and were cussing and going on about driver's ed. They did not make a good impression at all.

Friendly staff, nice layout (making goods easy to find), Great Beer and Wine selection!Update 4/15/2021: It has been 3 years since my 5* review Cart collector hit my car with buggy made eye contact with me and walked off without saying anything. If he did this to my car it raises to the question how many othersUpdate 5/22/2021: Really bad time today at this location. First issue I had was at the deli upon requesting pepperoni the lady there cannot find it even though they have two that are visible from the front and instead asked me to pick between two salami choices they had. Another employee resolved it and found the pepperoni.Second issue: was while looking for a register to checkout the employee standing at cashier 8 had his lights off and turned away me and one other gentleman to check out. While checking out at a different register I noticed he turned it back on for a female customer.Third issue: I had today was one of the bottles from the the six packs I bought was missing (this is kind of on me but I had my hands full) and the cashier didn't say anything while checking out. Call store to resolve the issue with the missing bottle and a manager said to come back by.Forth issue: while walking with the manager to the back to get the other bottle i slipped on a puddle that did not have a sign informing that the ground is wet or any sign for that matter. To employees standing by we're aware of the puddle on the floor and informed me as I was stepping on it. No apologies given!Fifth issue: upon returning home for the second time I learned that the lady that sliced the pepperoni did not remove some sort of plastic or paper covering on the outside of the pepperoni and I didn't notice until after cooking and cutting. This later took 20 minutes to remove from the cooked and sliced pepperoni.Hopefully I'll be able to contact the regional or store manager about my experience today.

Love that Rouses is getting more vegan food! Just wished they carried almond milk yogurts and ice creams. Produce is always great. Meat prices were good today!

I go here weekly, staff is helpful and courteous. I love the layout overall of the store. I tend to shop in the organic section a lot and I find they run out of stock (or only receive temporary stock to never carry the item again). Produce section is one of the best in Houma.

The store is great, with lots of unique options and excellent quality. Staff at the checkout were prompt, but didn't seem especially excited to be there. Plenty of lines were open, from what I could tell. Other shoppers were mostly rude and ready to run over others (even elderly) to get up and down aisles, but that happens most stores nowadays.

This place is so dirty and unsanitary. The managers pick favorite employees. I honestly don’t know how they have good reviews for this place. Absolutely hellacious. Their turnover rate is probably the highest in Houma because no one wants to work for those terrible managers and people, they all put on fake smiles. The Store Owner is literally so ridiculous, he told one of the managers that one of their employees will make $7.25 the rest of their rouses career.

It's Always great to shop at Rouses! Today was a very busy day at the post office station and extra help was needed. Ms. Rosie does a fantastic job but at 5:30pm she really needed an extra hand for those in need to get their tax papers in the mail. Praying all made it in time that was left in line behind me.

This Rouses on St Charles really knows how to provide fresh produce and plenty of what ever you are looking for.i may have to make this Rouses my go to place unlike the Rouses on the east side.. Note: please give more love to Rouses on Grand Caillou

Today July 10, 2021 at 8:17pm Carol in the meat department dropped some packaged meat on the floor. Wearing gloves she picked it up put it down by the sink and without changing her gloves continued to handle previous meat and place it back in the fridge she then cut open the packed meat handled the meat, cut, and , repackaged it all without changing or wash her gloves. This should not be tolerated.Her choice of words for her coworkers when I pointed out some meat that she thought they where out of where disappointing and the manner in which she spoke with me was not the professionalism I used to expect at Rouse Market.This poor level of professionalism has been seen by the cart collectors hitting cars with carts and not saying anything or even checking to see if they damaged anything.
