This is an extremely dishonest business. They had an item listed for sale on the Internet that I wanted to buy. I showed up to buy it with cash in hand to find out they just raised the price $5000. I was given multiple different stories that contradicted each other about who even owned the item. Several days later, I was told to come by it for a different price that I agreed to. When I showed up to buy it I was told it wasn’t for sale and then I was yelled at and cussed out as I left fearful they would use violence against me. Apparently they were jerking another buyer around as well being dishonest with them also. I would advise anyone against doing business with these people as they lack integrity and honesty

I've had disagreements with the older gentleman who issues inspection stickers in the past, but today's experience pushed me to write this review. My windshield was crack-free before inspection, but post-inspection, I found a crack across the sticker. When I confronted him, he claimed it was a small pebble, which is untrue. It seems the pressure applied while placing the sticker caused the crack. When asked why he didn't inform me, he had no response. Even more disheartening was his refusal to take responsibility for replacing the windshield. Convenience brings me to this location, not quality. Considering reaching out to the Dept of Public Safety to address this issue and seek reimbursement for a new windshield. Very upset with this experience.

The gentleman at Lapalco Hardware that did my brake tag inspection was very friendly and helpful. He made the whole process simple, quick, and easy. I will definitely be back here for my next inspection.

(August 2018) Cheapest Propane tank refills, Lapalco Hardware & Brake Tags - Simply has the best deal I found yet. (The tank exchange places don't fill it the same amount)(From 2016)I just left from there and I want to Thank you guys for the great service and advice. You saved me so much time and money, I just want to tell everyone to show my appreciation! Where else you can get a Brake Tag, Propane, Parts, Tools, DIY Advice and make a new friend in under 20 mins. It's a hardware convenience store with low prices.I want you to know I always refer people no matter what they need for a home project or repair/advice. Thanks again.

I must say 30 years as Jefferson Parish resident I am beyond disappointed at the treatment I received when I went to purchase a Brake Tag. He was super rude, racist and obnoxious. My vehicle is a 2023 and only 8 days off the car lot there was no valid reason for him to have made me go through all the changes. I would not recommend this place and the State of Louisiana should revisit allowing him to serve their customers. Ignorance at its fines!

Excellent service! The gentleman was friendly, professional, fast and courteous! He even removed my old registration sticker and put on my new one. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! Will definitely recommend and return for next break tag.

This is my new brake tag place! it was super easy and quick to get a new brake tag and they did give the option for 1 or 2 year renewals (ok..who gets the 1 year one, i'd buy a 5 year old if it was available). it is conveniently located off lapalco w/ plenty of parking in the front if you want to get some things in the hardware store. you have to pull around the back, to get a brake tag- it is clearly labeled.5 stars!! great service! thanks!!

Knowledgeable, capable, helpful employees says it all! They know handyman jobs, tools, what items they have, where there are located, and how they are used. NOT like the big box stores like Lowe's & Home Depot where the hardware guy might have been flipping burgers in McDonald's last week... If you need help and/or hardware items, go there!

I rated this establishment a 1- Star Rating for the lack of "Good Customer Service". The older staff member was not helpful at all and I try to make it a point to patronize locally owned businesses but not when you have staff members acting like there doing me a favor.

I usually wind up at one of the big chains, but from now on it will be a drive to lapalco hardware. Great service and had everything I needed at good prices.Friendly atmosphere. Great job!!
