They are very kind and upfront when I was inquiring about an adoption. They talked me through any questions and concerns. And I now have the sweetest little puppy that I adopted through them. I will definitely recommend them to others.

Edit: Sweetie passed away 5/4/2020 she was such a loving furbaby~!!! We miss her every day~!!! I gave them 3 stars but it should really be 2 stars. No, I will not adopt from this place again~!!!...This shelter is in desperate need of Veterinarian services. I was told that the dog I adopted from them only had skin issues needing to be bathed twice a week with a medicated shampoo. Well she had more wrong with her than that: she is heartworm positive & has a very concerning heart murmur. I also believe she is older than the 8 years that they said she is.

They were all super sweet and very helpful. I found my new best friend there. The ladies that work there could not have been any nicer and helpful to get the right bed, dog leash and they seemed so happy to be working there and helping these animals. I would highly recommend them and call tell you I could not have found a sweeter dog.

We adopted our puppy in December and couldn't be happier. We still have no idea what breed she is, but it doesn't matter, she's perfect! These guys are giving their heart and souls to these animals and they all seem to be very well cared for. Adoption fee includes all shots and spay/neutering so the fee is more than worth it!

I adopted a 1 year old dog from here on June 11th, 2021. After signing adoption papers and paying her adoption fee, they helped me schedule her appointment to be spayed at Companion Animal hospital. They told me that the spay and her immunizations were covered in her adoption fee except for one shot that costs $40 and is too expensive for them to include in the adoption package but that it was only necessary if I planned on boarding her and was assured that a lot of people didn’t even use this vaccine. I took her in to be spayed this morning (June 24th, 2021) and was told that the vaccination that she needed was actually her rabies shot. I thought this was very odd that they’d treat a rabies vaccine as something so unimportant, but the biggest problem came to light when I returned to pick my baby up from her spay. The veterinarian spoke to me when I came in and broke the news that my baby has tested a high positive for heart worms. I asked the vet how this happened because I haven’t even had her for two weeks yet. The vet told me that they don’t have the resources to test and medicate the dogs in their care with preventives or treatments. This is absolutely unacceptable. If you don’t have the resources to care for the animals in a shelter, you have too many and aren’t helping. I don’t know how this is legal. They neglect the necessary medical care for these dogs and don’t even bother to tell adopters that their new addition to the family is very sick. The treatment for her heart worms is going to be very expensive likely $1,000+ dollars. The vet told me that the only options are to treat her out of my pocket or to return her to this “humane” society and hope someone who can afford her treatment adopts her. Needless to say, this dog will remain in my care and I will be having her treated. She is my family now and I’m dedicated to giving her the life that all the people who have met her prior to me have failed to give this sweet baby girl. She is an angel and she is suffering because of the cruelty that her “rescuers” thrust on to her.

We have went there twice to look at the dogs. They don’t answer the phone and nobody answers the door! So we sat there for 10 mins seeing if someone would come out and still nothing!

I took my wife and 3r old daughter to one of their adoption events and found a dog that we all loved. The foster even brought the dog to our house to see how he fit. My wife and daughter fell in love instantly and my wife said we would take him. They were supposed to get us the papers the following g day but never did so my wife called them and was told that they changed their minds and decided it was too hard to let him go and that they were keeping him. My wife called me in tears to tell me what was happening. I called the home office to file a complaint about the unprofessionalism of the foster. The lady I spoke to was very upset that this happens and I was told if we still wanted the dog that she would get the dog from the foster since the dog belonged to the humane society and not the fosters. No word after several days so I called and was told they would know something by Monday. I texted the woman at the humane society to be told that now she can’t get the dog back that it was too difficult. So now for the second time I have to tell my daughter she isn’t getting the puppy we promised her and now I guess I’ll return all the stuff we bought for the dog. Shame on you Tangi Humane Society!!! Why don’t you come break my daughters heart this time!!!Please anyone thinking of adopting from this place don’t get your heart set on adding a family member to your home because you may end up very disappointed!

after weeks of looking for the perfect baby i came on THS website and saw oliver. i was immediately in love. and the website said he was available. so at 9 the next morning i made my treck over there to be there for 10 when they opened. i arrived about 5 minutes early and the RUDEST man cameout and asked why i was there. i told him i was there to fill out an application for oliver. his response was a very snarky “he was adopted 2weeks ago” and looked at me like i was an idiot. it is not my fault he is posted on your website as available STILL. please. check your. website before being rude to me for having wrong info from YOUR SITE

They dont care about the animals, most are In poor condition. I.e have ear mites, fleas, ticks, and other health issues. Doesnt euthanize but will definitely reccomend bringing them to a kill friendly shelter if theres "no room" for any incoming animals

One of the most kind and caring, donation based shelter. These volunteers work tirelessly to save any animal in need from puppies to horses. Absolutely the best!

Made a little visit to donate and pet some little cuties. Way too many pitties in there but everyone was begging for love and attention and we were happy to oblige.

Dogs were constantly locked inside. The place is quite sketchy and their open/closed times are unpredictable. Rather stick with TPAC.

We adopted a puppy for an hour The lady at the shelter told us That the dog was housebroken and never marked his territory since they had them because I told him I couldn’t have a dog that urinated in my home gave them $150 brought the puppy home the first thing it did after going outside for a walk was Pooh and start marking his territory everywhere in my house so we brought the dog back we had it for about an hour they refused to give me my money back , the older gentleman got very mad started mumbling and had an evil look on his face he came outside and started telling lies to us about he never tells people it’s potty trained in the reason why he couldn’t give me the money back because two other people wanted to adopt him and he saved the dog for us we called him Friday he said the dog would be ready to be adopted Monday

Wonderful individuals taking care of animals that too many either cannot or won't. If you get a chance, stop by to volunteer or go to an adoption event.
