I can't say I ever had a bad experience here. The one time I had an issue with dog treats, the staff was helpful with helping me get a refund.I've adopted 3 cats from this location as well and one of the girls who helped me with our latest adoptee was so helpful and friendly, you could tell she really wanted to see the kitties get good homes.Every time I go in, just about everyone is chatty and friendly and it's an over all good experience.I saw a review below discussing a scared cat and a bed in the litter box... I go in there all the time and have never really seen anything like that. Also sometimes cats will put things in their litter box, it's a hoarding thing the cats do. It doesn't mean they are being abused. The cats come from a shelter too and there's no telling what they went through prior to being brought to Saints SPCA (A wonderful shelter, by the way!) so it feels unfair to leave this store a 1 star based on the behavior of ONE cat who may have been abused prior to coming to them.Like I said, I've adopted THREE cats from here. All three are wonderfully behaved and happy cats. Never once did they seem afraid or as if the staff were abusing them. In fact, Camry seemed to absolutely adore the girl who helped us with his adoption.

I truly enjoyed my experience with the bather and groomer today. They were very polite and helpful getting my big 154lb St. Bernard to get the works today. Thank you so much for taking care of my big baby as he is very big part of our lives. I definitely will be back!

The store has and adoption section where I found taffy the cat who was isolated, and her bed was in her litter box. She had an excessive amount of fur on her body from not being groomed. She was so afraid I never got to see her eyes, she was so tightly tucked behind her litter box. I asked the cashier about her and if I could pet her and his response was”no she’s not friendly” and giggled as if it was a joke. I have never experienced such lack empathy for an animal. I Hope taffy find a great and corporate sees this review and attempt to address the situation at hand.

Petsense has helped all rescues in the area. All rescues were allowed to share their adoption cages and we have adopted so many cats and kittens from this store. Their staff is tremendous and really care about animals. They also price match and have been in the area for years. Please shop and support this store. Other pet stores do not support ALL rescues.

DO NOT Get your fur baby groomed here! The girl Konner is HORRIBLE!! She overcharged me for grooming and look like she ran my yorkie through a blender!!! The trim was awful and I didn’t even give her a hard time until I noticed the over charge. I addressed the charge and she had the nerve to her nasty with me! NEVER will I enter that place again or refer anyone to go there

Ms Susan is amazing in grooming! I bring my cat here for nail trims mostly, but totally trust to leave him there for a bath if he needs it. She is personable and talks to fur babies like they're her own. Highly recommend her.

So I made a grooming appointment with the groomer two weeks ago. The day of my puppy grooming which was last Saturday 05/16/20, I got a phone call stating that the groomer was in an car accident and that I needed to reschedule. Ok that’s fine I said, let’s schedule for next Saturday because I’m only available to bring my dog in on the weekends due to my work schedule during the week. So my rescheduled appointment was scheduled for tomorrow 05/23/20. I’m excited that my puppy will be groomer tomorrow, mind you he hasn’t been groomed in two months due to Covid-19 because my regular Vet isn’t currently grooming. Today I get a phone call from Pet Sense stating that I would have to reschedule once again because they only have one groomer and she is not allowed to get any overtime. So it seems that I’ve been lied to on two different occasions. At this point I’m upset because I’ve rescheduled once before and now I’m being told I have to reschedule again. This is BS and I advised the groomer that I was upset and that’s not my problem that you’re not able to get overtime. I advised her that I would have to find somewhere else to get him groomed and if I would’ve gotten a more heads up then I could’ve had other arrangements in place. They young lady (groomer) replies to my response and said ok bye and hung up in my face. So I called back and asked for the manager on duty and spoke with Lori or Laurie and explained my complaint. All she said was sorry and it was nothing she could do. I’ll never do business with an unprofessional and unreliable establishment, I can spend my money anywhere! I’ll be sure to open my complaint with the BBB.

I liked the staff but their stock is VERY poor and their prices a WAY too high. Which was disappointing. I had to go there to get my Rescue Kitten and I thought I could pick up a few things for her while there... BIG NOPE! Won't be going back.

The store is clean and stocked well, but it's more centered towards mammals than anything. I'm a reptile person and they don't have a large selection for reptile supplies. They also don't carry any reptiles or anything of that nature. I don't consider this a true petstore in that sense.

I have had a bad experience with Pet Sense in the town where I live. I have asked for help locally and with the corporate office. No repoonse from anyone. Why? Because, it's a common problem with their products that continues to be unaddressed by their corporate offices. The problem of course is mealworms/larvae/moths in and on the bags of foods. I now have these things in my house.At this point I don't expect anyone to follow up.Shameful.

I love petsense! All of the people who work there are super helpful and friendly. They do cat adoptions the SAINTS SPCA, and have cats there that you're allowed to pet. Their prices are only very slightly higher than Petco. I only give it 4 starts due to the fact that Petco has more options in products, simply because Petco is a bigger chain store.

As we walked into the store the clerks were making racist remarks about a customer that had been in the store and continued after we were greeted. They were practically yelling it throughout the store. It was heart breaking and just disbelieving for them to continue after 2 African American woman walk in.

if I could give a zero I would. it took 5 hrs to incorrectly cut my dog ,lose his paperwork, rebath my dog then electricity went out and he wound up shaved to the bone except for one ear!! my neighbor took her little girl and where they had the bow on her head were staple marks!!! unbelievable and oh so unfogivable!!

Now here's a place really not for me I don't have a pet I went there with my sister who has 3 dogs...well I had never been in there I had no reason..but that day I went in there with my sister it was neat . smelled good..everything in order..they had things very interesting to look at fish, puppy bowels' plants , dog coats ' clothing" they even groom in there..it was rather knowledgeable..i had a great day..

Walked in looking for 10 in 1 shots, walked all the way to the back & saw no employee at all except for the one grooming a dog behind the glass. Walked right out without seeing anyone again. Good thing I'm not a thief

DO NOT GET YOUR DOGS GROOMED HERE. EVER. Susan groomed my dog and kept him from 11:00AM to 5:30PM and what returned to me was barely my service dog.He was drooling heavily, trembling like he'd been shot, and he couldn't even SWALLOW his own saliva for over an hour. We rushed him to the emergency vet in Mandeville (I have the receipts, and proof) and called Petsense to explain what happened. They denied it up and down that it was Susan's fault.Panzer was so afraid of people after that grooming session that if someone approached him, even me, the person who RAISED him, he would involuntarily release his entire bladder. I don't mean a spritz of nervous-peeing, I mean he'd be so terrified that everything in him would come out.The vet told me, after I gave an explanation of Panzer's normal behavior vs. this, that he had been heavily abused by this "Susan" woman. If my service dog does not recover, I will press charges. You have harmed not only an innocent creature, but a service dog and a physically disabled person.

Google maps says they close at 9pm. The answering machine at Petsense said they close at 9pm. When I got to the store at 8:04, the door was locked and the employee told me they close at 8pm.

What a joke they have sale prices on everything in the store you get up to the register and then go over the sales not till tomorrow like why didn't you put the tags up the next day are you too lazy to come in before the store is open to put the tags on or do you just want to trick people into buying products and then they get to the register and it's not the correct price
