This is a great store. They have a wonderful selection and the employees and helpful and knowledgeable. I have purchased multiple fish from them with zero issues health or otherwise. I would definitely recommend.

They had a large variety of fish and aquarium products, a very helpful and friendly staff. The prices are significantly lower than the major pet chains. It's worth the few minutes extra drive.

I don't have a need for tropical fish, although they do have a very good assortment. The tanks are well maintained, the owners are very nice, and the store is very clean.I go to Ken's for snowball ice, which you can buy in block form for a really great price.

They don't have the biggest selection but if you ask they are happy to see if they can accommodate. Prices are a bit steep on hardware. Great selection of African cichlids

Stopped in via recommendation and to support small business. The owner is so nice and helped me pick out exactly what I needed to start my aquarium! She was full of useful information you can tell she really loves what she does. Everything is fair price in here compared to larger retail stores.

The older lady working there made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I don’t think I was in the shop more than 20 minutes, and she asked me 4 times, “do you know what you want yet?” I eventually left with a disgusting piece of hornwort covered in snail eggs and detritus/decaying organisms that I think were long dead shrimp??? Then she interrogated me about my tank at home while I was trying to check out and pay for the hornwort I didn’t want, and unsolicited listed everything she thought I was “doing wrong” with my tank at home. The entire encounter made me very uncomfortable. It’s a shame there aren’t more quality freshwater stores around. I think I will be buying from online hobbyists only from now on where I know exactly what I’m getting and where it came from.

How do you tell people you get fresh shipments in weekly and you have the same corals and salt fish for over a month now. How do you have a live rock tank wit current and piled on top of each other but a custermer can't touch da rock to look at it to buy it. How do you work in a store n not know or beagle to find a price on coral? N how do you sale fish 3 times more den all other places. Came in for 5 gallon salt water fish,coral,sand and rock. Left wit 5 gallon water. Bad job Ken's. I'll be going to coral connection from now on even for water. Worth the drive.

It didn't seem as if they were interested in helping us become knowledgeable on the fish they had in stock. It would've been much better if they would've given us a more personalized touch.

This is the place to go for fresh water tropical fish! They carry all ages of tropical fish! Big/small… also have salt water fish and aquarium water set up! Food heaters enclosures. Prices are absolutely cheaper than the mainstream pet stores! I’ll definitely be using these ppl for my needs from now on!

I walked in not knowing nothing about fish or hermit crabs that I saved that was abonded by some renters. Let me tell you the customer service was amazing and the help and knowledge was also amazing. I'd never go anywhere else. I bought a complete new set.up for everything and food plants and a new set up for the hermit crabs. Thank you for great place and help. Regular customer forever.

Rude, non-helpful, argumentative employees who push products that you did not come in looking for. I ended up driving an extra thirty minutes to Baton Rouge to get the necessary supplies for my very expensive fish collection because of Ken's employees. I'll NEVER shop at Ken's again!

Got my aquarium here and it is Awesome! It was priced good and looks Great compared to my previous finds. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable in the aqua hobby. I highly recommend this store because it has everything for a person looking to purchase fish or aquarium accessories at a reasonable price!

Very nice and knowledgeable. Would not even think of going anywhere else for all of my salt water needs. She tells me how it is, not what I want to hear. She does not try to sell you everything in the store, only what you need and will even advise you to wait before you make a purchase if the conditions of your tank are not right. I love this place. No better place that I can think of. Wonderful service. Its been a few years now since I been going to them. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Very knowledgeable people. She explain the process of setting up a new tank. I never knew a tank had to be cycled until I went here no one else ever mentioned it.

What a joke of a place. The one guy working when we went was not very concerned about making money. We would try to talk to him about our 300 gallon aquarium but he was more concerned with his phone. We reached out to Ken's on social media and when we finally got a response a week later, it was very lackluster and unconcerned. We drove an hour and a half (one way) to check this place out and will not go back. It is worth a longer drive for fish, supplies or a friendly staff.

Ken’s Tropical Fish is a pretty good fish store overall but sometimes I feel like the staff don’t know what they’re talking about. Sometimes I buy fish from there and a couple days later I notice they have ich!! That’s a horrible fish disease that’s hard to get rid of. I just recently bought a fish from there and surprise, surprise it has ich...it’s not noticeable at first but then it spreads on their body and it’s VERY contagious! The fish infected my entire tank and I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of it at the moment....THANKS KEN’S TROPICAL FISH!!
