This is the worst store in the area and I refuse to shop here. Came in, staff was rude, wouldn't talk or pay attention to the customers while having their own little conversations. They always stay behind the register and I never see a single employee stocking that store. The floor, front counter, and shelves are always a mess. Stocking carts in the aisles where you can't even shop or move through. I rather drive 15 min out of my way to go to a different one and avoid this one all together. Do better or just shut down.

I went in to purchase a father's day card today. I asked one of the girls working to show me the greeting card section, she told me that she didn't know where anything is in the store like she was frustrated and went back to digging in her stocking bin. I walked right out of the store and took my business to Walgreens. I felt dismissed like I was bothering her. Never again.

Rude, rude, rude. In addition, twice in the last few weeks it was closed. Once at about 7:50 pm. The “manager” was turning people away saying she had to open in the morning and was tired. Seriously 😒The last time was Monday Dec 20, 2021. At 6:00 pm she was locking the doors. I can only imagine they loss the store took by not being open from 6 to 10 Christmas week. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This place was RAVAGED. The store seemed like it was turned upside-down and shook. The cashier was running around like a chicken with its head cut off and I could have easily just walked out with what I had with out paying and Im pretty sure others did in the time period I was there I witnessed several people stealing and just taking advantage. Get it together!

I go to Dollar General because it is convenient. But, like always the aisles are full of merchandise that needs to be put on shelves and stocked. I guess maybe there's not enough employees to do that job? In the cashier, today was talking over the customer's really loud about how she can get other jobs because where she is working at Dollar General the manager keeps telling her he's going to fire her and she he won't do it blah blah blah blah as they talk back and forth to the two cashiers. Never a proper organized stores in Hammond. But it is convenience. Thanks for asking.! Bren k.

Average prices, average store. I rated a three star because like most other Dollar Generals the service is okay untill there is a small rush of customers. Why? The Dollar General chains are cheap on labor and hardly ever have more than one cashier unless it's one of the bigger Dollar Generals. If they would just add one extra person in the store this problem would be solved.

The people they currently have are nice and friendly. But the shelves were empty on a Saturday. They should really have night stickers be separate from chasiers.

Store was closed, door locked and employees sweeping the floor. Store hours were until 10 pm and yet at 9:40 pm here we are....facing a locked door.

New girl at the checkout has a great personality, very friendly. They didn't have a charcoal grill for sale that I was looking for.

Bad experience in this store rude employees and merchandise everywhere. The aisles had empty boxes and plastic pieces from the shelves on the ground. Was unable to get cart down some aisles.

Isles are crowded and blocked with merchandise that needs to be stocked. This is an ongoing issue at every Dollar General at every visit.
