Just got seen today and the ladies there were awesome! They’re very upfront with everything and very affordable which was great and goes to show the character of this practice. They were very accommodating with my toddler and my almost 2 year dog (so practically 2 toddlers) and showed the utmost patience with them both which I am so thankful for. Definitely going to refer people here because this is a wholesome and quality practice. Thanks again ladies! :)

I brought my dog here after he developed a serious skin and yeast issue along with a list of other issues that it seemed like no one could figure out. We took him to a couple of vets around the city before trying Quality Pet Care. They did all the right lab work and got him together quickly! Thank God! They had a plan, corrected the skin and yeast issue, and stared him in thyroid medicine. And just like that he was back to normal!Fast forward about 7 years later when it was time to say goodbye to my sweet boy, the staff was amazing. Everything was done with such love and care. They made the process as painless as it could be for all of us.I would recommend the ladies at Quality Pet Care to anyone! They really care and became like family to our sweet boy.

Dr. Margaret and her staff are some of the most caring and informed vets for your fur babies. If they do not know, they will find out. They've had to do a lot of research for the shar pei breed due to my girl. Thank you so much

MONEY HUNGRY CLINICI have been a regular Boarding and wellness client for a couple years now. I called to book boarding for my two dogs, and was told that since I took my Lab to another clinic to get her shots she is no longer allowed to be boarded at their clinic. First of all, my lab is 1/2 Great Dane and a big girl at 104 pounds, she’s very strong, and since I was having to go alone to the appointment due to my husband working (not that I owe Quality any explanation), I chose as a pet owner to go to a clinic literally 2 minutes from my home. NEVER in my life have I EVER heard of this. I have worked at vet clinics and as long as you show proof of vaccinations the pets are able to board. This is where I draw the line. I know I did my part and took care of my pets and at least gave them the proper health care they needed.

Today I took my Chihuahua, Pedro, in for his annual exam. Pedro can be very difficult to deal with in the vet's office. He gets "mouthy" and tries to bite. QPC makes sure he has sedatives before his visit so that he is calmer. They are able to skillfully get a muzzle on him to get his checkup and necessary shots and tests. Dr. Ramirez and her techs were wonderful. So thankful for them!

They have been my vet for years now and I will only bring my pups here. They are kind and thorough. I started seeing them after another vet continued to say after multiple visits that my dog's skin issues were allergies, without any kind of actual checking. Came to them once, and they discovered it was instead a treatable skin issue that could have been easily avoided, but got really bad due to the other vets lack of care. In no time, my pup was healthy again. Then, years later, they were there with us as we had to unfortunately put our boy down after a 2 year battle with osteosarcoma. Their attention to our dog's comfort as well as our own left a lasting impression on us.

I love this place && so does Bleu!! Clyde, our 100 pound puppy is next to go. 😂 They are so nice && they actually like talking to us. The last vet we went to was so distant and just .. Awkward feeling. And so far thier prices really affordable! This is Bleu && Clyde. We have four but these are the two Im working on now. Bleu came from a boarding situation that wasn't so hot && he had a bad earache && really messed up coat. They helped Bleu && he loved going!! Haha.. He would drag me to the back when he saw the girls. 💖 Love them!!

Disgusting that my dog was having an allergic reaction. From an emergency vet visit over the weekend from x-ray with contrast. Dog is an established patient for 2 years and they refused to see my dog. Yes I may have yelled and said a curse word never once did I curse at an employee or staff member. Bottom line is this place was wonderful but the lady on the phone rather my dog die then see her beings we live around the corner thank you we were no longer going to be a patient anyways no need for the letter. Thank you.

Although my wife typically handles the vet's visit. This time I took our Corgi. The experience was breath freshening. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was open and inviting. This visit left me with a complete feeling of being at home. I would recommend anyone to visit. Very quick, professional, and friendly service.

Long story short, "Dr. Diane", the owner of this facility charged me a false cancellation fee of $15 the day I put my dog to sleep. This was completely underhanded as the staff had me sign a non-itemized receipt as I was grieving and in a very vulnerable state. I did not receive an itemized receipt until after I had paid. Once I realized the cancellation fee was something I had inaccurately been charged for, I politely requested it to be removed. This request was denied by the owner.Heartless, underhanded, and money hungry. Do yourself a favor and choose a vet with compassion instead of greed. To charge a client for a false cancellation fee the same time that client is paying for euthanasia is sickening and unfortunate. Thanks for making a terrible experience even worse.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My Doberman has the worse anxiety and is a very high maintence dog who needs constant attention. We hated boarding him any time we had to leave. Now that we’ve found Quality Per Care, it makes leaving our special pet behind a lot more comforting knowing he is well taken care of. The staff genuinely care about his well being and do everything they can to keep in content and happy. Dr. Diane is truly an amazing doctor. She spends a lot of time explaining her findings and does a very thorough job examining our pup from head to toe. She caught a malignant lesion on our poor baby’s Back leg as we were leaving his appointment for an entirely different issue. She is very compassionate and we are so glad that we’ve found a home away from home for family pet.

Truly disappointed by them canceling my pets care for me not agreeing with their no show policy!Yes, you read that correctly. We are a military family and Quality pet care came highly recommended, they were amazing with our dog. However, I called to schedule an appt on 11/4/2021 because my dog had severe diarrhea and vomiting. To be told yes you can schedule an appointment with no problem by one employee and noWhere was it mentioned that there was a fee for a cancellation, after being on hold for sometime only for another employee to get on the phone to state. If you cancel your appt the next morning. We will charge you a no show fee. In my opinion this should be on a case by case basis! If you have a patient who is receiving great care and on going care, why would you charge them a no show fee? Well I voiced my opinion and my disagreement with this.Well today, 11/8/2021 I received a cancellation of care letter stating that our dog will no longer be a patient at Quality pet care with no explanation nor any concern for valued patients! If this is how Quality pet care does business I don’t want my dog to be seen by any of their veterinarians! How petty can you all be as to cancel care for a dog that would happily continue care with you even though their owner didn’t agree with your policy! However, now after your petty cancellation of care. I am happy to be looking for a different vet that will take my concerns whether it be over a policy or my pets care into consideration! Apparently your business has never received constructive criticism and learned and moved forward from it!

Love Quality Pet Care! Being new to down here it was hard changing everything. I had to find my fur baby a new vet. I was not looking forward to this search because I'm picking about him. But once I met the staff here and saw how the Doctor treated him and I; I was in love! They explained everything and because I hadn't taken him to the vet in a long time he was long off his meds (for flea and tick and his heartworm). They definitely know what they are doing here and they don't try to break your bank account!

Oh gosh where do I begin!I love Dr. Diane, and the amazing staff at Quality PetCare. I have a nervous dog (and lets be real when you have a nervous dog you are nervous yourself) but the amazing staff at QPC calm my nerves with their knowledge, patience and kindness. I just love having them close by! I highly recommend this amazing vet and team to anyone who is looking for a veterinary office. These guys will take the time to address all of your concerns, needs etc. And they are extremely affordable too!I just love them!! Thank you for being great!

Botched surgery. They caused our little malti-poo to lose her beautiful tail...Re: Maddy Goodson – Surgery July, 2021I could not let this situation go unaddressed; therefore, the following is my sentiments to you in relation to the care your clinic provided.I delivered Maddy to you for removal of a bump or cyst on her tail, one that I felt could be drained and perhaps sack removed surgically, which surgery she underwent on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Instead of cutting into the cyst and perhaps removing the core and treating the area, the Vet cut very large margins of the tail tissue around the cyst to such an extreme the tail barely had anything left on the one side. (See pictures attached.) I feared it would ultimately break off. We were sent home with an ointment to apply to her when we redressed her wound every other day, no antibiotics to ward off any infection that might develop. Your first dressing fell off and I was alone at home without another set of hands to help me redress the tail so I brought her in. I was greeted with an argumentative, smart-alec tech. I was charged $40 to redress the bandage of yours that fell off. Then, when it did come time for us to change her dressing, your brilliant tech put the white athletic tape on the bandage and it was stuck so tightly to her skin and hair it was pulling her hair out and tearing her skin when we tried to remove it. We cut it with a scissors and still had to slowly rip it off of her skin. Can you imagine the torture on that poor baby.Furthermore, we trusted your clinic and doctor and did not second guess your instructions for wound care but, in hindsight and after having to bring her to have her tail amputated the next week to another vet because the tail was infected and necrotic, it occurred to me that oral antibiotics would have been a standard of care we should have expected but did not receive. When I called after realizing that her tail was infected and having to consult with another Vet, I informed you that your Vet’s neglect in treating Maddy’s wound correctly resulted in her having to have that beautiful tail amputated. I will never know the full details but I can assure you that whomever it was that did the cyst removal did not have the skill set to work on animals with sharp objects.I’m sure you got my message that I would not use you again and as dogs are considered property I would tend to treat this as a bad repair service and I deserve my money back. Perhaps if that were a consequence to your actions, you would do a better job next time. Please learn from this.Jimmy Goodson

I’ve been taking my dog there for over a year for grooming. When we got our dog back last time I notice she was scratching. I saw a a couple of scabs on her and started to clean the wounds. I thought she was allergic to her food and therefore scratching. I changed her food and put a cone on her. We took her to the vet at paws a week later and the vet concluded that my dog was bitten at the groomers and someone glued the injury down. She was bitten 4 times and one wound required staples but it was too to give them to her. She had to get a steroid shot and provided a weeks worth of antibiotic. I called immediately and was hung up on and when i called by i was informed by the answering service the office was closed for the day. The vet told me that this could happen at the grommers but I should have been notified. My son left paws that day in tears his best friend was attacked like that. Horrible .....

We're in here for the two years that we lived in New Orleans and Belle Chasse area. Stop and helping us keep track of vaccinations, but not the best at listening to us about our pets when there are things that we clearly know about them and they are just going with the default setting.

I have been bringing my dogs to Quality Pet Care since the spring of 2015. I was probably one of Diane's first new customer.Made an appointment 2 weeks ago to see Diane today 4 annual shots and heartworm check for my Brittany. When asking only to give my pup heartworm check and annual shots and rabies vaccine, I was told that if I wanted to be in the exam room while the shots were given I would have to PAY another $50.00.Now I am a long time customer that has referred numerous customers to Diane and all I was asking for is to be in the same room with her while she was to administer the shots. Diane refused my request at the cost of loosing my business forever. Apparently Diane has all the business she can handle and no longer needs mine.Long story short I immediately went to Primary Vet Care, seen right away no 2 week wait, was in the exam room with the Vet no $50.00 fee, and was treated like a valued customer.I will not go back to Quality Pet Care. They are a boarding and grooming business with a mediocre animal health care business.

Love these people! I can tell that they really love animals and they can tell that I am a crazy puppy momma--- which I am OK with! lol. They let me tour the boarding area when I was contemplating boarding my maltipoo for a weekend.. I ended up taking him with me --- as my separation anxiety was too much--- not because the facility wasn't top notch. The office and exam rooms are pristine. I had recently adopted a second maltipoo rescue who looks like she has been through quite the ordeal. Dr. Savois Dubois was very sweet to my new girl and was very informative with me. The vet tech that assisted was sweet not only to my buddies but to all the other boarders that were hanging out. She knew them all by name and rubbed each belly as we were checking out... I love that!! The offer the best and latest in vet care and the cost is very reasonable. I am so glad that I found this place and even more grateful they are pretty much in my neighborhood!

There’s a problem every single time I go here. Half the time they refuse to see my cat for whatever reason. It’s ridiculous to turn down an animal in need. I have tried giving them chances because they are so close to my house, but I would rather drive 40 minutes to Metairie to bring my babies to a vet that actually cares.

This animal clinic has three of the most knowledgable and caring doctors that I have ever met. The support staff is loving and caring when taking care of my four legged family members and one of a two legged variety.
