I had a young stray male cat that had been dropped off by my house. He was hungry and hurt. I fed him, and he got better. A lady from my church wants him, but she needed him spaded. So I brought to the Parish Animal shelter because she has no vehicle. He is a very sweet cat. I have a male cat from the shelter, and they don't get along. He needs a good home.

It is a well kept shelter with nice workers. I went with a friend and met a new furry friend. People should try to be more responsible when it comes to having pets. We all need to think about the whole picture. Shelters like this are wonderful for helping people to learn about and care for their animal companions. Thank you T. P. A. S.!!

Very friendly and caring workers. Bought 1 stray today. Who stays on my porch. But I was worried for it's safety. I pray they can help it. ❤️ I am so happy to hear they found someone to love and take care of this precious lil cat who had issues. They are the best !!!

I was told by so many co-workers and family. They give shots to cats . But when I bought the 5 kitten. They wanted to keep them, and they weren't sure if we get them back. After I told them we wanted them. My co-workers couldn't understand why they wanted to keep them. 😒😖.

I stopped by to see if they had any unique looking kittens (female) but only had a couple male kittens that were unique... I'll check back another day.Extremely clean and well setup.. Excellent animal shelter

Had to go with my sis and put her dog down, had an appointment, then got told no one was there to do it. Then she found someone that was there that could be it. (a lil unorganized)

Wonderful! This beautiful cat was in labor and delivery just wasn't going to be possible. They went pick her up ASAP and took great care if her. Now our little Zea is doing amazing and is the most lovable cat ever!

I love the kitten my son got for me! She has such pretty coloring and purrs constantly. I appreciate that the shelter cares for the animals, giving them shots and medications and they spayed her. What we saw of the shelter was very clean and all employees we encountered were friendly and nice. Thank you for my new baby.

Very very helpful, with everything. They collected my son's dog when he was arrested coming through their over the weekend. I contacted them and explained the situation. She (noticed I said she) told me what she would do for the dog to be released and come get him. Now I lived 2hrs.away In another state. I jumped in the car and took my 2hr.ride. Duke (the dog) was given a chip and shots that only cost me $61 total. And that included a weekend stay. I just wanted to make sure I recognize the women in that Shelter for all the help they gave me. Also Duke was very happy after his weekend. Oh almost forgot,the Shelter was amazing if it wasn't for the writing on the building I wouldn't have known what it was. Thanks Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter for all you do you can tell everyone their loves there job. You have a great facility and wonderful staff...

The staff is super friendly and the shelter is super clean. The pets look well fed, friendly and calm. My family and I adopted two charming kittens. We all walked away with smiles on our faces from ear to ear.

Poor communication, no call for 9 days after putting in an application! Told the dog we were interested in was in foster. And we would be contacted for a meet and greet. Call 9 days later to say the dog was pending adoption in foster for a long time and isn't available. Seems sketchy to me. I see why people don't do do business with shelter. It's politics. Who knows who. Will not do business with you all in the future.

A family member adopted a beautiful 8-9 month old puppy. She's such a wonderful addition to our fur family. The staff there we're very helpful. I would definitely recommend adopting a pet from the Terrebonne Parish animal shelter. I have two rescue dogs myself and they are the best!

I adopted my cat from here almost 10 years ago when they were still on plant rd. I recently returned with him euthanized due to illness. The staff was so kind to me in this difficult decision. They made me a laminated paper with my cat's paw print and a peice of his fur and a sweet poem. We definitely recommend working with them if making any fur baby additions to your family.

I know it's only been a week since we got our baby but we are in love. TPAS takes really good care of their animals from what I see.the staff and volunteers were really nice and they are very knowledgeable. Their care shows in the animals that are there. Would highly recommend getting your fury friend from here. W drive almost 2 hours to do so.

Adopted 2 kittens from here in September 2018. Staff was friendly and had multiple animals to choose from. Love the cat colony. The cats were all very well taken care of and loved. Didn’t check out the dog area so can’t comment on that. They are affordable and have specials on adoptions many times of the year for both cats and dogs.

I love this shelter and I have brought in a bunch animals. Yet now there is a Hispanic lady at the front desk who is very rude. She talks to you as if you were a child or incompetent. She is a very rude lady, I do not like to speak to her when I go.

Louisiana SPCA affiliation with the shelter is the lousiest organization I can think of for animals. They are not looking out for animals best interest. In fact, taking over a year to figure out there and not going to be able to do anything for your animal in the low-cost spay and neuter program, it's nothing short of torture. You want to wait more than a year to do nothing. Transport an animal to New Orleans and back to do nothing. Put pet owners to hardship and pain especially pet owners who can't quickly pay for things, and give them false hope. That is just mean. And to boot you can't even just give them the shots.

I'm not sure how they treat animals but the management is cruel to humans. There is a group of people waiting outside for going on two hours now in the heat of June to pick up their pets after having them fixed. Some are having signs of a heat stroke and went inside but were kicked back out in the heat to wait after 5pm closing time. I overheard the lady on the phone hang up then say go to your vet next time.and pay $300....It's the same older lady who hung up on me a month ago when I asked for an appointment to bring in some kittens...she just told me to come in but when I got there she told me I needed an appointment.

Friendly staff. Extremely clean. Lots of time given to families and potential pets. It was nice to get a room to ourselves to choose a puppy. Process was easy and cheap considering what all comes with your new pet. Highly recommend!

The people here are so nice adopting my new fur baby was fast, easy, and very low cost. I highly recommend everyone go to them and adopt! I've also had a pet captured by them before. It took no time at all to get my baby back and they treated him with absolute care. I love coming here even just to see the new animals they have.

I went to drop 2 kittens off here. The staff was rude and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I was trying to tell the woman everything I knew about them and she rushed me and was rude. She would not even touch the cats. Someone came in behind me with a kitten and she said “great, another one.” I genuinely fear for what have happened if I left those kittens there and I fear for how they treat the animals that are already there. How do people like this work with animals? I am SO disappointed in my experience at this shelter.
