I am truly disappointed in what I encounter today. I usually always have a good experience at this store but it was not good today. I went to return a set of dish towels and a carrier you hang on your cabinet to keep your supplies in. I normally never have problems returning items until I ran into this store manger name Gwen whom I never seen before. She didn’t even greet me like she did the rest of her customers. She immediately asked me if these items came from her store which caught me off guard and rude. When she saw that I separated the tag from the dish towels she proceeds to tell me “in future references all items should be return the way the way it was purchased.” I told her this is my first time hearing anything like that. And plus I never used the cloths. I was going to purchase a table cloth, but then I decided to ask her what happens if I purchased it and open it and it’s not the length I want. She tells me, it would be considered not in the condition it was bought in and I wouldn’t get a refund. So, at this point I’m very confuse. I went to the dollar general on bayou blue road in houma, and it just so happens there is a store manger there. I told him what happen to me at the gray, la location and he explains how I should have been able to return my items without any problems. He was very nice and explained dollar general’s store policy which made sense. I went back to the one in gray to inform her what I heard, and she couldn’t even back her story up.She refused to explain to me why her store policy didn’t match Bayou Blue rd in Houma one’s. She seemed agitated of the fact that I was simply trying to understand why her return policy is different from other stores. I will no longer be shopping at that store because of her rude and childish behavior and clearly the lies I caught her in.

As soon as I walked into the store I knew that the crew and manager had their jobs 110%! I used to work for smart team for Dollar General and fix and caps and planograms, so I know what a awesome store looks like! Keep up the good work all the other surrounding dollar stores need to visit yours and take notes!

The food is always excellent, very friendly staff, a favorite for my elderly parents. Law enforcement and fireman are also regularly there so they feel very safe

It's pretty well stocked. I remember a time when there wasn't nearly as much and that store. The only thing that I didn't get this trip was a straw broom

convenient stop for limited basic household needs. better than having to go-to walmart or grocery for a few simple items!

Great bunch of employees they go above and beyond their duties and Ms Donna is a lifesaver and breath of fresh air as a manager

In gray la, this is one of the cleanest stores I've been to.. Stays stocked and very friendly..i love it!

The manager didn't want to give us an item for .01 even though the price was wrong but I look at it, customers are always right
