Where to begin...we brought the kids down here to stay for 9 days. 1st time on the island. The staff are all very friendly and thoughtful, from owners to housecleaning. This is truly a hidden gem and will leave you feeling sad when you leave. These folks really want you to enjoy your time here. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun getaway!! To the staff, we say thank you for all that you've done, we will be back next year!

We had a blast here. It was right before a tropical storm and it was extra windy. Would have been stranded had we slept a little longer. But the place e was cozy, extra quiet and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. The room was a little lop sided but its an island what do u want.lol I loved the rusticness of it all. Great fish camp and pet friendly. Nice spot on the island, near everything. Thanks for putting us up.

Owner was very nice. Place has access to beach which was convenient. Across street is a seafood place, daiquiri shop, & souvenir shop. Family was there, so we had 3 rooms next to each other. Shelving I saw in one would be nice to have in all rooms. Its centered in middle of Isle where all the action is. Would go back again.

AMAZING experience! The hospitality on this island was insane! We are from Missouri and we came up for my cousins birthday party. I had one of the best times of my life. The owner of the resort was super nice, even helped us with our flat tire. Nonetheless helped us out with anything we needed. Beach was incredible. Will definitely be coming back soon.

We came down from Iowa with my children for spring break and had an amazing time! The apt was clean, the view of the ocean was beautiful, we had perfect access to the beach and anything we needed and the owner and his wife are wonderful people....they taught my children a few things about fishing and went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for our family! We will definitely be back!

UPDATE!My 1 star is staying. Owner called and said she hasn't gotten any missed calls well I'm providing proof here because they still didn't read my message on Facebook. I'm sorry the mailbox was full and your phone went straight to voice-mail. I don't even care about my deposit. I just know where not to stay next grand isle trip.

What an awesome experience! My buddy and I are from New Orleans, and have been trying to plan a fishing trip in Grand Isle for a long-time. We had such a nice stay at Cajun Tide, it was perfect! Right on the Gulf of Mexico, fantastic ownership/management, wonderful location, and had everything we needed for a super weekend. Thanks again! We will be back!!

If you go to grand isle I hope you are fortunate enough to stay at this resort the rooms arent bad I think another review said it best it's like being at camp. You are in walking distance of 2 restaurants, a bar, a convenient store and a full grocery store. Right off the gulf so plenty of stuff to do, but all that aside the real diamonds of this place are the husband and wife that run this place they are awesome go out of there way to make your stay a great one. Came out to the beach one day with there cast nets and showed my whole family how to use them we caught enough shrimp to feed everybody and the owners cooked them for us and we had a big party that night. Not to mention they would drive my grandmother and grandfather down to the beach so they didn't have to walk, took us on a tour of the island and really treated us like family the whole time!!! I'm already planning my next trip and I am only staying here and hope you get the opportunity to do the same.

This is my kinda place. Real people hosting in a simply functional way. If you need a sterile environment including an abundance of stuff to spend lots of cash on, this won't work for you.Nature, accommodations which allow you to do your own thing, friendly fishing folk going on about their business . . . That's my impression of a good week experience of Grand Isle @ Cajun Tide.

Its a basic beach side cabin. Its good, if you need some wuite time on the beach. Dont expect anything fancy. It comes with basiv ameneties, but good gor sone serene beach time. Beach is across the dunes, beach itself is quite, but again no amenities. Its good for relaxing in peace and sunbath. Beach might have a little bit of seaweed etc, as it is not a commercial beach, so not maintained much.Must say owner is very accomodating. They let me in at 3:30 am in the morning, she has to woke up just for me, as this is not a typical hotel sttle front desk. I called them in earlier that night, that I will be coming late and they accomodated me even that late. Thanks

Great place to stay with clean rooms plus boiling and cook room and a fish cleaning room. Walking distance to whatever you need across the street " restaurant , daiquiri shop and a store." The owner Mark will be seeing us again

Had a great time at the Cajun Tide. The staff is very friendly and will go out of there way to get whatever you need. The room reminds me of being at the camp which Is what I wanted could not ask for a better place to stay me and my wife will be back again.

My family and I were looking to celebrate our daughter's 8th birthday with a beach trip. We found Cajun Tide Beach RESORT (NOT) and it had decent reviews with a decent price, so we booked a room. Everyone was excited for a family vacation. We got to the hotel, got the key and headed for the beach! When we got back to the room after fishing and swimming to clean up and enjoy our night we realized the filth we would endure for the upcoming 2 nights. There was mold, grease stains, dust, broken blinds, and a DEAD FISH in my son's bed under the comforter! We brought this to the attention of the owners of the property and they refused to believe that their room was dirty. We gave them the opportunity to make things right, but they refused. The lady behind the counter was slurring her words claiming that she personally cleans each room herself and washes the sheets. This room hasn't been used or cleaned in a VERY long time. When we packed our car and decided to leave the room because of the nastiness they said, "We know your game!" Ok, so here is our game...we packed our car, drove 6 hours, boarded our dog, and were forced to drive home and cut our trip short because we didn't have anywhere to stay. Our daughter was telling them about the fish in the bed and they accused her of lying and said, "your daddy put you up to this didn't he." As you can see on the pictures with the fish there is mold on the pillow where the fish had been occupying that bed for a while. What ever happened to the customer being right? We have been all over the world and we have never been treated like this. We are two professional people. Being accused of lying and having them accuse our daughter of lying was shameful. They should be arrested for the way they talked to my child. My poor daughter was in tears and she was so upset. She was devastated that these two strangers accused her of lying and trying to be manipulative. They accused my husband of being delusional. A picture is worth 1,000 words. Clearly the "good" reviews are lies and only posted to make their property look like it's worth staying in. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I wouldn't stay there for free and I certainly wouldn't have given it any stars. The site won't let us post pictures, but trust me, we have pictures to back up our claims.
