Wonderful people to work with when you want to adopt a pet. I adopted a dog named Annie about four years ago and she is a beautiful baby who is getting spoiled every day. The people Mrs. Connie, Mrs Cora was so wonderful. I look at it as a gift from God that I have her and my Annie Belle is so adorable and lovable.

I recently stopped by to foster a dog. Although they were closed that day the volunteers showed up to make it work. They were very nice and hospitable. The facility is well taken care of and you can tell the staff really care.

We adopted a young 'Heniz mixed' pup here about 10 months ago. We really love DeSoto Parish Animal Rescue, we do want to ask people to SPAY & NEUTER, please. Please help support this very clean shelter, please. Drop off some cat or dog food to assist them. Thanks

I just adopted my dog Buddy from DeSoto Parish Animal Shelter and he's a great dog. The animal shelter was extremely nice and clean and the people working there were very helpful. They had spent some personal time with Buddy already and knew a lot about him. They even microchip the animals for you before you leave. I gave the shelter five stars for all their good work.

Very clean, animals well cared for, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The way they have the lobby set up for adoptable cats to be visible is fantastic. I was super impressed with this shelter

So you tell my grandmother at 9 am that you will come and get the skunk that she accidentally caught in a live trap, and at 430 pm, when she has to call you again because you haven't came yet, that you won't come because you didn't set the trap. I don't have an issue with you not coming, I have an issue with you telling her that you were and 7 1/2 hrs later saying that you weren't. She is very afraid of this skunk because of the rabies scare YOU have been putting in the newspapers. Had I known at 9 am that you couldn't come I could have figured something out. Instead it's almost 5pm, I'm headed to work, and my grandmother has a caged skunk in her yard and is afraid to let her cats out. Great job animal control, I will no longer support anything you do or are involved in.

The most Amazing group of people !! Thank the Lord for them. Shelter very, very clean. There is over 170,000 words in the english language in use today...... Only one spelled backwards spells "GOD". Rescue one Today. Peace to All !

Live off of English Road have two beige pitbull’s digging and trying to get into my mamas fence To get her small dogs while growling and barking she’s in the hospital trying to recover from two different surgeries call animal control and explain the situation and they tell me that well they’ll try to get out here sometime today that’s not acceptable that’s why people just let their animals run because there is no consequences for those that do you let them run and it’s really sad that you can’t even have your own dog safe in your own backyard in a fence pretty sad Example of animal control Once again it shows the people that follow the rules keep your dogs In A fence or on a leash which the state law reads is required but we have no rights and no one will enforce it and then wonder what’s wrong with this world G I wonder

Don’t expect them to actually come out and investigate the animals and their environment. They always have an excuse of why they cannot do their job. They just rely on the sheriff’s department to do their job

The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty in how they treat the animals housed there. It is also the cleanest shelter we have ever visited anywhere in the U.S.
