We went here to buy some groceries during Black Friday sale, with lots of people. The staff handled the customers pretty well. Kudos to the friendly staff for their kind assistance and patience. Will do some groceries here if given another chance. There are also plenty of available parking spaces with wheelchair accessible parking spots.

Have been to this location twice. First time saw a live rat running through the isles second time saw this in the picture. Brought it to the stores attention and all that was said is they are working on it. Do not shop at this location.

The Gonzales Walmart is always clean, organized and well stocked. I found the cutest garden flag for $5. Great find!

Gonzales Walmart your looking snazzy! The renovations to this store are really looking good. I am a little bummed now I'm moving. I loved the new shopping carts. They now come complete with a beverage holder and on the left a place for grocery list or phone. I liked also the new higher top shelf on the cart. Everything is really coming together nicely at this store. Was an actual pleasure to shop at Walmart for once.

Was wanting to make a big purchase in the electronic department today and needed to know a few things first and whoever the lady working in this area is shouldnt be in customer service. She was beyond rude and of no help at all basically shutting down every question i had with the most rude tone and word choice. I walked out and didnt purchase a single item because of her.

This place is dirty and yet you guys allow people to shop here with no type of cleanliness!! Attention Gonzales Walmart Shoppers! THIS IS WHATS ALL AROUND YOUR FOOD!!! They have rats all over the food and did not care to pay any attention to anything even after they were notified!!

My family and I were at Walmart in Gonzales, La on today and we were having trouble with our register checking us out. An employee that goes by the name of Harry came over and helped us out. He scanned his badge and everything but what was on the screen had disappeared. We had to go and rescan everything. He offered to rescanned and rebagged everything for us. He was very helpful. Not too many ppl work there are helpful but he was great. Thanks Mr. Harry for your help.

Honest Review, this use to be my favorite Walmart but I don’t know what is going on at this location in Gonzales. If you do Self Checkout they stand over you like you’re stealing, if you order Curbside you will have items missing when you get home and don’t get me started on the Half Dead Roses they gave me on Valentines. Walmart Plus Delivery same thing, items missing so pick your poison or just go to Rouses across the street.

We saw a giant rat run out of the front entrance!! If you look on “What’s going on in Ascension Parish” page on facebook (search for Walmart post in the group), you will find numerous comments about the rat infestation that is going on in this Walmart! I am so disgusted. I do not want a rat that has just given birth on top of the food touching my food or going in my refrigerator. Truly appalling that the health department has not done something about this. Do better walmart and health department!! Nasty!! 🤮

The store is fine, but the pickup service is terrible. They forget your order, make you wait an hour, then give you the wrong items, if they give you the item at all. They won't refund it or fix their mistakes. DO NOT USE PICKUP HERE.

Jorge in auto center started yelling at us in spanish when we asked him not to roll the window down all the way because it's hard to get it back up. He then took over an hour to change 1 tire. When asked to return the spare tire where it goes under van he again started yelling in Spanish and finally just said no and didn't do it. Now I have to rejack van up when I get home to do it. Worst service I've ever had from anywhere that sells tires. If Maureen had not had such an upbeat personality in dealing with me inside, this would have been less than a 1 star experience.

I have been waiting for my groceries from Walmart delivery for almost 24hrs past the original set day and time. Yesterday I received a message that said they would be two hours delayed, six hours later they still weren’t here so I reset the delivery date and time for this morning and now they’re over two hours late. I can’t get a hold of anybody at the store, Nor can I use the help chat because it isn’t working and the app won’t let me cancel my order. Walmart plus is not looking like a great investment. Gonzales Walmart really seems to be dropping the ball.

As usual, one, (two maybe) cashiers and long lines everywhere. This is getting old, however, "Ari/Ali", my cashier was the (good) bomb. She caught something that rang up at the wrong price, dug it out of the bag, and corrected the problem. Most cashier's don't care when they've rung up an item twice or sale prices weren't activated. I appreciate and respect her for caring and taking CARE of business - that's being professional. 🤜🤛

Horrible store ! Try to avoid at all cost . They really need to shut it down since everyone acts as if they do not want to work . Go to pick up groceries and they make you wait 2-3 hours for picking up stuff ! LITERALLY.. go to the door to ask they are all over the place . Nobody knows what is going on everyone is confused. The system they have is not the brightest, not sure if Walmart is cutting corners or they haven’t properly trained their employees but this is HORRIBLE INCLUDING MANAGEMENT!

My mom was in the Lady of the Lake Ascension Hospital. She was fine. Ran to Walmart to pick me up some cappuccino to get me through the next morning. Happy to have Walmart around

Huge and very busy Walmart. It must be the biggest one I’ve visited so far. There were a lot of registers open and even the several self-checkout registers on both sides of the store were constantly all in use. Lighting is not so great as it’s an older building, but it does the job. And with all that space and merchandise, I’m confident you’ll definitely find what you’re looking for and then some as I did. I was expecting to find a McDonald’s inside, but was surprised to find Subway instead. It’s still good because when you’re hungry, there’s food you can enjoy on the spot. Overall, it was a good and productive visit.

I did a quick stop for a few things, I have never like self check out , however I did 8/30/23 forgot my phone 📱 on the check out and had too make a dash back into the store!!! The young lady working that area was on her job!!!! A job well done

The walmart is not clean and the goods department is not fully stock. The floors are dirty and the shelfs need to be more organized. I am from Canada and i tried to buy a bottle of wine but i couldn't . I show them my Driver's license (valid ID) and they give me the most stupid excuse ever. What i hate the most is the lazy people... please take it back after u used.

i got my car an oil change in the auto center and had an amazing experience. Everything went smoothly and I was in and out. The girl behind the counter who wrote me up, was amazing and very knowledgeable and the mechanics worked very hard and took care of my car. I will definitely be coming back!!

My husband went in and asked for help in the "Personal Care" lock box and was told someone would be there shortly. I went to customer service 5 times after doing other shopping, while my husband waited by the lock box. I was told they were having problems finding the ONE person with the key. The manager, personally told me that he called the ONE person with the key. I said "that's fine, I will just wait with you". He was on the phone. Then finished his call, then walked away. I followed him. He walked passed my husband, not knowing that we were together, but he was the person my husband spoke with initially, and said "I am looking for the key" I just kept following him. Lost him for a minute, found him helping another customer. I waited, he turned saw me and said "I am still looking for him" "That's fine, I will just hang out with you until you do" He then saw another employee and asked her if she had the key. She did. She wasn't too happy being told to stop stocking the shelves to come help in Personal Care. I followed her and we finally were able to get our product and leave. That whole experience took 45 minutes to grab a 6 pack and a pack of condoms.

They have people standing around in lawn and garden who aren't allowed to ring people up while the main registers are ridiculously backed up. Close the lawn and garden entrance and quit tricking people into thinking they can use it.

My son's wedding cake was not anything I ordered. they completely messed it up. went to go pick it up about 3 hours before the wedding to find that it barely had frosting even at all because you could see the chocolate cake! then the lavender color that was supposed to match my daughter in law's dress wasn't even there. then I asked for a discount and they gave me 20 dollars.on a stupid card when I paid cash the day I ordered it! didn't even have the writing on the cake I asked for!! with all that was wrong with the cake I asked the baker that took the order and made it if she put the filling I asked for in the cake. she looked at me and told me yes. when we cut the cake there was zero filling in it!! nothing. never again. I did report it to the main office in Arkansas .

If I could rate this Walmart a 0 I would!! management sucks so bad! Employees seem like they don’t want to work or better yet they don’t know what the heck they are doing !! They can’t price match even if you show them the price match policy Walmart has loll!! & if you order online and pick up in store they will say the item is out of stock… even if they have it in stock loll!! The renovation is good but the store is still dirty, buggies everywhere in the parking lot… buggy guy hit my car and he laughed while the “managers” took it as a joke. Kim what I’m guessing is the assistant manager has an ugly attitude to be a manager. She is the main one not wanting to help customers no wonder the workers are the same way !! The coach doesn’t know a damn either and kept running back and fourth trying to find someone with answers at the end of the day nobody could help. The drive to target is definitely worth it!!! rouses is definitely worth it. The only good thing about this Walmart is the door person she always greets everyone with a smile and while leaving always tells you to have a great day !
