Waited 15 minutes while the service desk tried to page someone to the paint counter four (4) times.A nearby associate, who was talking on her cell phone the entire time, eventually came over - only to let me know that their color matching machine was not working and that someone needs to call IT. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to make that call or if someone else will, but I went to Lowe's instead. BTW, she never stopped talking on her phone while she was helping me or the customer behind me.

Ordering online for "pick up" is just getting to the point where it's a waist of time. You show up, & still have to stand around & wait For more than an hour !!!! It's bad enough, nobody has decent customer service, so you order online to AVOID the poor customer service & terrible attitudes.... then you arrive & everyone is just looking at you like ..."um, he said, she said, I have no idea, idea can't find out..."It's becoming worth my time & patience to go with the local mom & pop landscape company that overly deliver superior customer service ok every level !!This is awful home depot !!!

18yrs a loyal client, but you will NEVER see me again. Take my premium, but refuse to assist when your warranty company refuses to fulfill their promises. REFUSE TO LET ME SPEAK TO A STORE MANAGER.. when I'm 3mo deep in a broken refrigerator??? Thank you for helping me realize the COST of not doing business with local shop owners.

Bright and clean store. Helpful staff that pointed me to the right section saving me time looking for the things I needed. Very organized and aisles/departments are clearly labeled to guide you to the right place. Love the self-checkout registers that are so intuitive. They have free WiFi at the store to use with the Home Depot app. Ample parking outside. Though kinda out of the way, it’s worth a visit. After all, it’s Home Depot!

My wife went yesterday to get potting soil and flowers no one asked to help her load the soil everyone were on their phones. She left went to Lowes didn't have to ask anyone for help they asked. By the way she spent 240.00. Home Depot is getting horrible this isn't the first time.

Found my way around the store ok. A lot of employees, but not getting asked for assistance very often, if at all. Lowes employees seem to offer help more often.

Kind, quick and courteous! We got skipped like 3 times to get stuff loaded and we had a major order...partially our fault I guess. 80 sheets of drywall and other things is what we bought. If anything, they need more workers to help on bulk load-ups

Oct 16th called to see if blind cutting machine was fixed after visit day before. Was told it was still down by another lady working that area. After I corrected her she called Leon who got 3 blinds cut for us. A week before another gentleman had cut some. It seems the ladies are not trained or do not want to do this. As a woman I find this pitiful. A BIG thank you to Leon for his assistance!

Drove about 11miles from my home to get to home depot to buy some mini blinds Sunday afternoon the 15th of October looked around for quite a while for someone to help us with some blinds finally WE find a couple of ladies to ask for help with mini blinds they look at each other and without hesitation blurt out that the machine that cuts the blinds went out and they can't do blinds lol, we call back today man says nothing wrong with machine sunday the 2 both had designer nails and in my opinion didn't care how far we came to spend our money they lied because of laziness our country today.

Home Depot was alright. Came in to compare prices on doors and look at washing machines. Customer Service in doors got better while browsing but noticed huge spider webs. Washing Machine area had two sales associates that were so busy talking about their store being ranked 2nd in the district that they really couldn't provide any customer service like talking about it. I never want to feel like I'm interrupting anyone even though they should've been paying attention to what I was interested in. Needless to say its HD. Customer Service has always been an issue with this chain. I will be back if prices are comparable to what I'm looking for.

I am in the store for the 3rd time trying to purchase carpet/turf. First 2 attempts went unanswered by associates after being paged. Looks like this final will go unanswered after overhead page. This is awful 😖

I went to almost every store in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas looking for particular item. Every single store said that the item was in stock. I arrived at the Home Depot in Gonzales location and was immediately greeted with a few good mornings and associates willing to help. As a female (using my husbands google to review), It’s intimidating to walk in such a large store. I came across Jeffrey and he made sure to make me feel welcome and find the part that I was looking for. He searched high and low, I got a few other associates involved and lastly, he called other stores to locate the stair treads that I was looking for. He made sure that the other location physically had them, put their hands on the treads, and had them hold them to where they were waiting for me at the front. I greatly appreciate Jeffrey and his kindness and willingness to track down my item. Thank you so much Jeffrey you made my day!

What a fiasco. Showed up for one tool that shows 6 in stock. None on the shelf and nowhere to be found in the overhead. Assistant seemed content with the fact that he couldn't find them and patrons may be proned to steal. So it might be years before they find them or whatever else comes of them.Next, I get to the checkout with the other item I purchased and this item rang up for $100 more than the label. I assured the lady that the tag was for $99 and she asked the woman that helped me, "How much did the tag say for this?" The associate said "It said $99." So she said I'm gonna have to call someone to check this. Another worker walked up and she asked him and said he would have to go verify. So I walk over there with him and sure enough the tag still said $99. So he had to reunlock the cage, pull the tag off and stick it on the item, bring it back to the cashier. At this point she had to get a manager to come approve a price change because the system obviously hasn't been updated. For when she scanned the $99 tag now attached to the item, it read $199.

Has every thing i needed. Had my basket filled ready to checkout but needed one more thing. It was styrofoam and i needed it cut in half. I Had no idea they didn't cut Styrofoam that was right next to the saw until the guy informed me in such a belittling manner i walked the eff out. Thanks but no thanks. Ill go a local hardware place. At least they have knowledgeable people who dont speak down to you

I went in to get a few fence items and needed a 2x4 cut in 17 inch pieces. Michael in the lumber department cut it as soon as he got a chance and I got out of there as I waa on my way to work. Great staff and I had a grwat day, installed today. Thanks Home Depot!!!!!!!

My cart was searched, boxes opened and searched, and an employee checked out my items in self checkout without any reason. I was the only one this happened to. Completely unnecessary.

This store is generally well stocked. However, special people think they are okay to park in the loading zone while they shop and checkout. Then when asked to move they say they were there first. But here I am, time and time again, with material I am ready to load and they are parked in the way. I, trying to be courteous (imagine that!!) parked in the PARKING LOT while I shopped.I am just about ready to close my account and give all of my $90,000-$100,000 per year to Lowe’s or locally owned lumber yards which would appreciate the revenue.Today I hand carried 80 pound bags of concrete to my truck while about 8 others watched while they visited and waited for who knows what. Two of these vehicles were parked in the same spot when I went into the store 20 minutes earlier. All of these others, in three separate trucks at this point, were waiting for material to come on a forklift while I carried mine by hand. They were not smart enough to get in a line, rather they parked randomly and managed to block the entire two lane loading area.They’d rather sit on the clock and wait, I’d rather be done and go about my day. I guess I’m the fool for not wanting to lean on the truck while I wait a half hour.This will be the situation you find almost any day you go to this store to buy anything. Wether it matters to you on a given day I suppose depends on what you need to buy.Go to a different Home Depot or better yet, a different store all together.

Customer service does not exist here. Needed some help finding some brass plumbing fittings. After looking through the shelves for about ten minutes I tried to find someone who could help. No one working in plumbing. Went to customer service and asked for help. They said they would send someone. After another 15 minutes passed and I had not even heard them page someone to help in plumbing I went back to customer service. The same girl asked me if I needed help. I said you were supposed to be sending someone to help me in plumbing. Her response was I forgot. I told her not to worry about it because I was taking my business elsewhere to which she said whatever. Never shopping there again!

Thus location has been much cleaner and organized than others in Greater Baton Rouge Area. If someone actually worked in the door section they would have five stars but 3 employees stated " that's not my department sorry sir" I can't get the double door down for you because it's not in my assigned area, and I may turn into a pumpkin if I used my radio to page someone".... But I guess $1,100 doors are sold quickly with little or no effort? That being said, the employees whom were present even if they were out of their department and took a massive risk turning into a pumpkin...were very pleasant all in all.

I gave 3 stars because the instore selection they have of lawn garden and shop equipment is too pricey and their really isn't enough variety for brands, other than the prices and supplies they are pretty organized and clean. They just need more variety and better pricing!

Cheaper, better selection than other hardware stores. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The only downside to this location is that it's a nightmare to get in and out of. It's set way back off of the highway, accessible by a little alley. There's no light, turning lane, etc to navigate around the very heavy traffic on Hwy 30.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Asked for help from one team member and he didn't quite know where the product I was looking for was. So instead of directing me to a different staff member, he directly went to ask for me and was immediately able to find what I needed. Was in and out within 5 minutes. That so rarely happens at the hardware store.

I went in the store to purchase a utility trailer 5/19/20. Very soon after I noticed the trailer was on sale for $200 less . Called the store to speak to the store manager. He answered and I explained to him I wanted the advertised price . He was polite and told me to come onto the store and he would give me a store credit . I go to the store and ask for him. He greeted me and told me he would be right back. Long store short he sent someone else back to me and that person said he was the store manager and that he would NOT give me what had previously been agreed On and that he would only credit me half , I told him that was not right and that I was not happy. Basically take it or leave it . I feel it was unprofessional on the management team and Home Depot.

Update: This is the Walmart of home repair. Cheaper prices, but HORRIBLE SERVICE! And just like Walmart, if you happen to stumble upon someone working there, they don't have a clue where anything is or knowledge about the products. Go to Lowes!
