After staying here on 3 different trips, I had to check out prematurely. Let explain. The bath towels have a funny smell to it. Two power outlets were flickering. When I asked for daily room cleaning service I was told “it’s hotel policy that we do every other day since Covid”! Covid is long gone & in my previous stay I was given daily service when I checked the box while checking in online. The level of misinformation was absurd & unacceptable as a well established national chain! I will still stay at a Marriott property but will stay clear from this one. I understand the lower level brands are not owned by Marriott & I could see the attention to details is not very consistent.Rooms: Very average for this price point of hotel roomFood & drinks: Good selections of restaurants nearby

They did comp 1 night of each of our rooms, but I'll still write for others to see.1 room asked for deep cleaning because it was so nasty and it was still nasty after. The showers had hard water or soap stains or something, and the shower doors don't close right.Another room had a broken bathroom lock, broken light switch cover, and the fire suppression sprinkler had part of it coming off. 1 outlet had its cover coming off because it wasn't screwed in. Also the microwave time wasn't set.We got moved to another room which had the following problems: the phone jack was reportedly broken by their renovation crew so we had no phone. There was another light switch cover broken (the switch was hanging out so you could see the wires inside). One of our many lights was plugged into the wrong outlet so it was always on. The filters for the AC didn't go in all the way. It was so unclean there was hair from a previous guest on the floor and in the shower. There was still chicken and rice on the floor by 1 bed. The sheets for the pull out bed had red splotches. Neither room had extra pillows for the pull out. The staff gave a whole new bedspread including pillows.In general the craftsmanship on whatever recent renovation went on was shoddy. There were paint splotches, doors hung incorrectly, the lights plugged in wrong, one reading light wasn't installed right so instead of being adjustable it just stressed the wires, etc etc. The closet is needlessly deep, and the 2 queen bed room was so cramped. There was almost no walking space to get around the beds. The bathroom door is translucent (and huge) so if the light is on, even with the door closed it brightly illuminated the room at night. The locking mechanism even when it's not broken is a finnicky hook mechanism so you have to pull a bit to check it actually grabbed what it was supposed to. Even when it did lock there was still a gap in the door. There were so many plugged in lights that I only had 3 outlets total by the beds. Each bed uses 2 and the lamp uses 1, so 5 plus are occupied by the room. So if you actually have 2 people in each when bed, somebody doesn't get an outlet. Luckily my battery bank could charge and be charging, otherwise I wouldn't have been charged up for my trip.The breakfast was overall good, but the bananas looked gross.Rooms: See review. Nastily dirty, poorly designed, poorly built.

I stayed at this location from 2/9 to 2/12, from the night I got there until the morning I checked out I voiced concerns about the cleanliness of my bathroom. I was told Andi at the front desk that she would have my room cleaned Saturday morning, once I arrived back at the room Saturday night my bathroom was still dirty. I brought this to her attention Saturday night and she assured me Sunday morning my room would be cleaned. Upon arriving back Sunday evening, the room had been straightened up, and clean towels had been placed in the bathroom but it was still dirty. There were urine stains around the toilet that were never cleaned, stains all over the floor, strands of hair in the shower, tooth paste stains all over the sink, just a poor cleaning job over all. I paid for my room and ended up using my friends bathroom next door the entire weekend because of how dirty mine was. I also brought this to the attention of the manager Joe. He and Andi were both very professional and apologetic for the inconvenience however, the fact that something as simple as having a clean bathroom during my stay was not properly addressed does not sit right with me. I have videos of the condition of my bathroom but Google won’t allow me to post them.

We stayed one night last week. I foolishly forgot my iPhone charging cable in the room. I called the same day we left and was told to contact “Andy” who was in charge of lost and found. I called Andy the next day and she laughed when I told her that the first person said she was in charge of lost and found. She promised she would inquire and she or someone else would get back to me. I never heard back. Pretty pathetic that they are so hard up as to keep an iPhone charging cable. Will never stay at another SpringHill Suites.

This hotel would have been ok except the breakfast was so bad and the carton of milk was spoiled. Real half and half to put in coffee or tea would be a huge improvement. I wish hotels would either do a decent breakfast or stop doing it altogether.Walls are thin so don’t stay here at a busy time - i could hear my neighbors TV.

I always love staying at Springhill suites. This property was the worst. Pool was dirty, water seemed clean but bottom was so black. No one could use it.My room was not clean on day I was told. Bathroom floor wasn’t clean at all. Only left towels, no coffee, cups or sugar, creamer. Did empty trash. Didn’t wipe counter tops on coffee bar or bathroom. The shower head is way to high. Could not move it, water sprayed in my face, wet my hair, it was horrible. Tv didn’t work. Was told to unplug it, ha didn’t do anything.I’m very disappointed in this property.Breakfast was great as always. Desk employees were always pleasant.

Joe at the front desk was very welcoming. I feel like my price was way too much for the location. $70+ difference between one night to the next seems excessive. The rooms are quiet and updated. The bathroom is a translucent door that is in front of both beds and didn’t close or lock the entire way. Bring a small light with you if you need to get up so you don’t wake everyone with the light.

This was by far the worst experience I have had with your franchise. My room was not clean when I arrive. My party and I did not complain. We went to the store and bought bleach and lysol to clean the restroom ourselves. We threw our towels on the floor the next day as we thought the room would be replenished and cleaned the next day by the cleaning service. To our surprise when we returned to our room at midnight Saturday, the room was how we left it Saturday morning at 8:00 am. Moreover, there was no parking. We had to park away from the hotel and carry our things to the room. Furthermore, they could not pull my membership up to give me credit for my stay. It was okay. Nice staff. But there were so many problems the week of my stay. I didn't have any new clean sheets or towels the entire 4 night stay (even after requesting this twice). No maid service visited my room a single time. TV was broken the entire time. And loud construction was going on next to my room almost every day. For over $100 a night, I guess I was expecting something a lot better than this.

The thing that leads me to make this an excellent rating without hesitation was your staff! I travel a bunch for work and stay in Marriott Hotels 90% of the time. The staff at this location by far has been the best I have met so far and the bar was set pretty high by the team at the Residence Inn in Murfreesboro, TN but this location did beat them out!!!

It was an excellent stay here, Sarah at the front desk was really awesome at helping me out. Got in early before any rooms we're ready, she made sure I was comfortable situated in the lobby guest area so I can get some critical work emails out. Without having to double check, as soon as a room was ready she brought a key for me and on my way I went. Exempliary customer service!

This is the 2nd time staying here and it's nice for the price. I'm usually a Hilton guy but here lately has been impressed with Marriot. This location is definitely prime location. It's next to so many good restaurants which include Don's Seafood and Walk Ons. Along with that the big Cabellas is like a 30 second drive. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. I was even given free water which don't seem like a big deal but it actually does. I travel to this area quite frequently and will come back here again.

The hotel looks like a normal SpringHill Suites the front desk seems fine however my AC didn't work in my room which again is not a big thing the big thing is they let all the plant employees there they pre-book the room so they could care less whether you check in or check out as a business traveler there are some really large plant employees and I'm not exaggerating who wipe out the breakfast in which it makes you wait about a half hour to 45 minutes to get restocked when I mentioned it to the front desk employee and they said we're on a schedule don't know what that means I sent a note to Marriott I also sent a note to the corporate office and have not heard back or GM has not called me back so I don't think they carre If your business traveler, the breakfast is wiped out by these plant employees there's really nothing left or you wait 45 minutes to get a reply so this is really not for business travelers and I would not recommend it I'm staying at a nearby hotel and it's normal and treating people with respect it looks like they have the SpringHill suites has Pre booked with factory prearranged workers nearby would not recommend it for families or especially business travelers.If your hotel booked with factory workers you don't really care who walks in and out and if he'd all the breakfast and smell up the hallways with food in the hallways it doesn't matter so I would not recommend this is a SpringHill Suites running as a Comfort Inn hotel.I contacted Marriott and the franchise corporate office and received no response back whatsoever so that tells you the level of quality that this franchise has and based on the reviews I'm not alone. The factory workers are wearing out the facility I don't blame the breakfast attendant but frankly it's not a gourmet meal it's just enough to get you by until lunch but these guys I guess everything so there's nothing left for you to eat as a guest paying full rate.

Decent stay. Room was clean, staff was great. Missing a few things because of Covid (Bar and the pool were closed). I typically swim after a long day so the pool was a letdown. There are a few restaurants with bars within walking distance so the bar isn't a deal breaker. Hotel pricing was decent.Breakfast was actually moderately decent considering most places aren't serving right now.Would not be ideal if you are driving back to Baron Rouge daily, because of distance and traffic.

When I stay at a hotel the most important that it be very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I also have a strong preference for a sleeping temp around 68°. My stay at this location was slightly above adequate. The room was clean, though there were some permanent stains. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Sadly I had to keep getting up to turn off the A/C because the unit would get so loud when it was cooling it would wake me up. I was also disappointed that there were not enough towels and NO floor towel for outside the tub. Additionally, something was wrong with the room door that caused it to slam closed on you (first time it happened it hit my arm - ouch). Room price included a breakfast which had a decent variety and tasted decent. I would consider staying here again, but if I found another comparable room at a competitive hotel chain for the same price range I would probably stay with the competition. I have included pictures taken at the end of our stay.

Wonderful staff! The front desk clerk, Tiana has made my stay so enjoyable with her professionalism friendly personality. Same goes for Daquita, the room attendant on my floor. Daquita is excellent at what she does. She has a very pleasant demeanor and my room is very clean and stocked.The breakfast is also very neat and spacious and offers a basic variety bagels, English muffins, eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, yogurt milk, cereal, and some fruit. I am a Bonvoy member and the Marriott brand will always be my hotel of choice, but this property, by far, has been my best experience. I don't know all of the staff members' names, but the entire team deserves to be acknowledged for their exceptional work ethics and going above and beyond to meet the needs of their guests!☺❤
