Stayed for an evening, the room was great, the staff was very friendly. I realized after getting back to Texas that I must have left my computer and computer bag, I called and the staff was exceptionally nice and even shipped my bag to me next day. It arrived in great shape, I was very pleased with how efficient the process was. I will stay there again on my next route through there.

Rooms are nice if you don’t mind the roaches, broken shower curtain rods, no shower handle, no service throughout the stay. I know a lot of hotels are now skipping out on daily service but the towels here are so old and thin that it’s hard to use them more than once. When I showed the girl at the front desk the picture of the roaches, she just said “ew, sorry about that”.

The rooms were extremely dark. One of the beds had sheets and a pillow case that were stained. We had an ice bucket but no cups. The floors were extremely dirty. We dropped something on the floor, and when we wiped it up, the towel was very dirty. I had a new pair of house shoes, I had to clean them before I packed them. The breakfast was great. The lady working the breakfast bar was extremely friendly and made sure the food was well stocked. We are reward members. This was the main reason we stayed here. We probably won't stay here again if we don't have to. We did find two small roaches in the bathroom on two different occasionsRooms: Horribly dark. Very dirty floors.Food & drinks: There is a small store but the only thing they had was drinks.

My family stayed here in a block of rooms in October. The hotel was obviously recently renovated, but it seems the owners only cared to update the look -- which is to say, they put makeup on a pig.The smoke detector in the first room we stayed in was covered by a wash cloth, obviously missed by the cleaning staff. The AC was broken in that room, and the in-room phone was also broken so we had to call the front desk from our cell phones to tell them about the broken AC. They did send a maintenance person right away, but he was working on the AC for an hour before we finally called the front desk again (using our cell phones) to ask them to switch us to a new room.The second room we stayed in had a leak in the sink plumbing, so anything stored under the sink got soaked. The toilet sometimes flushed and sometimes didn't, so we'd have to take off the lid and jangle the chain to get it to work.My husband used to work as an exterminator, so he always checks the mattresses in hotels for bedbugs. In the first room, one of the two beds was wrapped in a bedbug mattress cover, which means the mattress had had bedbugs in the past. In the second room, BOTH beds had these bedbug mattress covers. If I had to choose between clean, bedbug-free mattresses or a fresh coat of paint, I'd pick the mattress.A relative staying on the first floor had their toilet overflow (after just a number one) and another relative on the third floor had a neighbor hotboxing so the whole hallway smelled like weed.One star feels generous. That star is for the staff who were responsive to requests. That's the only good thing I have to say about this hotel.

They recently remodeled so I don’t know how it looked like before, but when I walked in it was very clean very pretty very nice and I went before Christmas in the month of December and it smelled like Christmas in there. The lady who took care of me was so nice and friendly and helpful my room had a king bed and a sofa and two big flatscreen TVs. It had shampoo and conditioner, big bottles of dove in the shower already and on the bathroom sink it had two big bottles of dove lotion and dove face wash amazing and it was close to so many food places and shopping.

Rooms are a bit small(in a room with two double beds) but they are under construction so this might change. Walked into the wrong room at first and I will say the upgrade is really nice, from floor to wall color. Staff is beyond helpful and happy, refreshing after a 10 hour drive. I haven't come across a staff member not smiling or happy to assist. Pool is clean with comfy lounge chairs but lacks some shade for parents watching the kiddosFood & drinks: Plenty of food options within walking distance. Have visited many, by far our favorite is Top Notch Daiquiri behind the hotel.

Staff was okay. She had my room ready so check in was quick which was nice and unfortunately, that’s where the good ends…. I get to my room and the door was being held open by the lock so it didn’t close so the room was already open. I get into the room and there is curly short hairs in the tub and on the ground. Wasn’t going to put a review till the next morning when I took a shower and I’m drying my face and I see those same curly short hairs on my towel and I look over and there’s a roach on the counter. I didn’t even feel safe going into the room initially and I went against my better judgement to ask for a different roomRooms: room dirty and towels dirtySafety: Room not locked

We stopped off for a break in our drive. The staff is super friendly. Our room was open when we arrived, the front desk said the cleaning staff left it open. There were used towels in the bathroom that were left behind. The room smelled funny. The floors were sticky. Not impressed with the cleanliness. It was one night. I have a rash after staying but it hard to say I got it from here.

Traveling with 7 year old baseball team, we rented 12 rooms. The rooms were not good, the A/C did not keep up in several rooms, rooms were humid and musky, rooms had beat up furniture, a few bathroom doors did not close correctly. There are no vending machines on property or drinks to purchase downstairs. The rooms were clean and staff were awesome but we do not plan on staying at another La Quinta again.

The location is the best to be said about the hotel. We were surprised to find the room so gross. We booked a larger room for our family of 4, the room was not ready. We had to request affitional sheets, pillows, bedding, towels. We pulled out the couch for our kids and it was so rotten it was growing mold. The manager told us sorry, he had new mattresses on order. Omg it was so disgusting.

In 2022 We booked 3 rooms 2 month in advance of our stay. 2 days prior to our visit we were notified by management that our reservations would be canceled due to renovations. We understood and found other accommodations. The rate was much higher because it was last minute. Fast forward to 2023 we booked reservations two months in advance. Today, two days prior to our stay, Calvin Rivere, the assistant general mgr called to inform us all three rooms were canceled. They claimed a power failure on the fourth floor. Thousands of families come in to the area during this week for youth livestock shows. There are several people in our party and their rooms haven’t been canceled. I don’t know if it was long-term guests trying to extend or if they’re canceling rooms and price gouging people with last minute bookings but either way it’s bad business. I filed a complaint with The Louisiana commissioners office, the Better Business Bureau and Wyndham corporate. Calvin was extremely rude and told me basically they have the right to cancel at any time because they are a privately owned company. He claimed he was the highest manager and there was no one above him I could speak to. We had no choice but to book rooms at a different location at double the original rate. Magically 3 hours and countless phone calls later, our rooms were now available, Saying our discount rate needed to be paid in full. They have my card on file from the online booking so this was never an issue. I would STRONGLY recommend not booking with this location as they will leave you in a bind and cost you a lot of grief and money in the long run.

Service was great, very friendly employees there. Breakfast was good, ours kids enjoyed us as much as we did. The room did smell funny along with the bedding, maybe try changing the detergent they use? The pool needs a good scrub and trash needs to be picked up around it. It’s in a good location with fast food and some restaurants near by along with the mall.

Me and my husband stayed here and once again it was horrible . The rate should have been $1. Our room smelled horrible, lamps were out, the pool was filthy, carpet down the hallway was dirty with stains, there wasn’t even a bottle water, so please don’t ask for anything complimentary as a Platinum member, not even an upgrade. My phone didn’t work and neither did the refrigerator. The girl at the front desk switched our room and there were stains on the sheets, so we had to remake the bed ourselves. Lamps were out in this room also. We were told by the manager that he would contact Expedia and we wouldn’t be charged but we were charged. This place is a total dump! We will not be returning and they can keep their apologies just like they’ve kept my money!

Had nails sticking out of the pull out bed. For being a non-smoking facility there was smoking inside the building. Pool was dirty. When we got there the staff told us they had booked our room to another person and there were no other rooms available. They finally caved in and said they screwed up and found us a room.Weird smell on the fourth floor. And major roach infestation

This hotel is clean and well maintained. Check in was easy and the clerk was friendly and professional.The room was very clean, no unpleasant surprises and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast choices were slim but that's pretty standard these days. Best to plan on eating somewhere else if you want a complete breakfast. However I was satisfied with muffins and coffee.We had a medical appointment in Baton Rouge and were looking for a safe, comfortable place. Overall our stay was pleasant and I would recommend this place to someone wanting to stay in this area.

Let me start this up by saying . By far the best customer service I ever experienced at a hotel, so this 4 stars rating goes to the staff. this says a lot since I travel a lot. The from desk was so kind and an overall professional, I wish all Hotel staff behaved like that. Even cleaning staff was professional and you don’t get that everywhere. With that being said there were a few property and structures issues, 3 of the 4 towels had rips and holes on them and were a bit rough on the skin, there were hairs on the drawers which means they weren’t clean, some of the pillow needs to be changed as they were flat and didn’t even look like one. The tv stand was chipping off on the bottom and looked a bit old. The thermostat did not work, it also looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a bit as shown below.OVERALL I believe the staff did their best with what they have and it’s more of a management/owner issue, management should make sure maintenance is being done and inspect their work, cause this is a reflection of you. ( unless you don’t care )

We have stayed in LaQuintas for over 20 years, and this one by far was the worst experience.I will start by saying the front desk staff was WONDERFUL, doing what they could to help, very apologetic, and always available and attentive.We reserved 2 rooms for our family of 6. One room had no strike plate on the door jamb. Our sons found a cockroach in the tub. There was mold in the shower tile grout. Our room had a gross slick residue on the bathroom floor. Front desk said many customers complained of the same thing, and must have had something to do with the cleaning service. The best they could offer was extra towels which my husband used to clean the floor when we checked in at 10:00 p.m.We had to go to the front desk for towels EVERY DAY of our 4 day visit. They never left clean towels in either room. One day they didn't even come and take our old towels, which again required us to contact the front desk to have our room cleaned (we saw the cleaner in the hall on our way out, so don't understand why our room was skipped).Breakfast was gross. My kids typically love the waffles, but the waffles were bad enough that no one wanted them. The last day, there was no breakfast other than stale pastries and old coffee.Hallways and doorways all in dire need of painting.Rooms were incredibly humid even with A/C running. Our clothes were damp in the morning.If we had not paid for it all upfront with Hotels.com, we would have checked out and gone elsewhere.

I stayed here for a work convention, check in was easy, rooms were spotless and in decent conditions. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud!!! The phenomenal personality of the manager Calvin, deserves recognition for his generosity and hospitality! We will definitely be back!!

Overall very quiet and clean. However we stayed Thanksgiving eve during a Pandemic so maybe it's different when at full capacity. Debbie was wonderful. She checked us in and made us feel at home. I would stay here again. Another bonus is that it's pet friendly for free and an upgrade from Motel 6.

The suite is a good size, separate bedroom with a door. Pet friendly is a plus. The only drawback is the cleanliness. The floors were sticky and the room had a smell. The bathroom was not cleaned well after the last guest and the shower curtain was broken.

My husband and I booked an overnight stay at this hotel with out reading reviews or ratings, which was a huge mistake! We travel quite frequently and have had very good experiences at Laqinta Hotels! The lobby and front desk staff were very nice an accommodating. The first indication that we were in a bad hotel was that the room was stink and musky. Later to realize that the smell was coming from the bed linens, smelling like they had sat wet out of the dryer and put on the bed, just stink. I opened the fridge only to find 2 dead roaches, so we didn't use it. We went out for the New Years event, came in trying to get a little rest my husband goes to take his meds through the night turns on the light and finds roaches crawling everywhere! We both jump up in a panic, shaking our things and check out asap! This was an awful experience, the worst ever. Phadria Taylor

I made Reservations 12/5/22 for the dates 2/14 thru 2/18 for 3 rooms all were confirmed. I got a call at 12:00 pm on 2/13/23 that all my rooms were canceled. same thing happened last year but I was informed about a month in advance.

I recently stayed for a week (11/4-11/8) at this location and no matter who was at the front desk, I always received superior service! The staff was very personable and friendly, willing to provide accommodations without any questions when asked for.You’ve GOT to try the juice that Elizabeth makes in the lobby!Not many delicious breakfast options, but the service you get there makes up for it!!Thank you La Quinta Gonzales staff for the love!

My kids and I had been staying at different hotels due to the hurricane and we all like d this one the best. It was quiet, clean and the pool was open. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint is there was no vending machines and only one place to get ice.

I was having such a bad night traveling with my mom and her dog Sam. Stopped at numerous hotels and either they didn't take pets or required pet deposit to be paid with a card. Not at la quinta. I walked in exhausted, still am writing this that night, I saw they had a pet walk and by how nice the hotel was figured they most definitely would be the same. No they were not the same made my whole night after driving for almost 15 hrs and not much sleep I was almost in tears when she said they could take cash and put my card on file. What a wonderful clean, upscale place. The people were so nice and they even gave Sam some pets on our way up. If you need a great pet friendly hotel I highly recommend la quinta. Wonderful staff. Life savers.
