Whole staff is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Specially the OLD lady blonde lady with glasses at the register & the “manager”. They definitely need to reconsider who they hire. Customer service skills are TERRIBLE.

I always enjot going to goodwill...i found some very nice shirts that were brand new and never worn...a prestty lil dance costume for my daughter and some wood boxes that were only 1.99(they would have been bout 7×s that at the store they were from) and i also found an antique typewriter! I paid 14.99 and its worth much much more so im super excited! I also found a faux fur coat thats retail price is $350!!!! ( i paid 20) it was heavy and had a huge fancy label so i googled it on a hunch lol ..so u can find some pretty awesome and valuable things if u pay attention...i found silver serving dish and a vintage standing mixer w the glass bowls...and a few other high end items. The workers r usually helpful and they stay bust constantly bringing out more stuff.

Would not sell me a school shirt for my daughter because they said it had no price tag but has signs up stating all shirts are 4.99 unless specifically priced differently 🤔 so why was I discriminated against.... My guess is the manager had a child that needed the school shirt. I'm also gonna add that I went to another location in Louisiana today and bought 2 shirts for myself without price tags on them so it's not goodWill's policy like she said, And if it is a new policy then this location is relying on As the customer to bring everything to the front that isn't newly pricetagged and put it in a bin and tell us we can't buy it.... If you need to price tag everything with a new system close your store until you get it done.

I Have been going to the Gonzales Location for many years. Always been a pretty smooth process.Today was not that. I dealt with extremely rude associates that not only had me wait needlessly for over 30 minutes outside while the goodwill truck loaded up, but denied me when I asked to just grab the item and load it myself. I specifically said I will grab it and take it myself. They said I had to wait.20 minutes in they drag it near the doorway to the warehouse and drop it without saying a word or even acknowledging me.After 5 more minutes of staring at it, I walk into the entrance way and ask (once again) if I can just take the item myself.To which I was told (you have to load it yourself, we cannot help you)Well no shit…. Why didn’t you just allow me to do it in the first place? What was I waiting for?It takes a lot of effort to be that bad at a job. Especially one where the customer asks if they can do it themselves initially.But I suppose this is goodwill and my luck had to run out eventually.Thanks for screwing up the couch by the way. But at least we can breathe easily knowing you aren’t doing anything where people’s safety could be in your hands.

I love this thrift store. It never ever disappoints me. You do have to dig through a lot of stuff but there are always great items here. It's relatively clean and fairly organized by category. I could probably go every day of the week and always fine at least one thing that I love to bring home with me. I also like that they price by category because I just know all items in that category are going to be the same price. They do Mark some items at a special price that is sometimes a bit High. For example sometimes they will Mark a Target dress to $9.99 and then there will be a designer dress that's just regular price. But that doesn't stop me from going. There is a very high turnover in inventory because lots of people shot there. It will always be my favorite Goodwill store!

My favorite Goodwill location. Love the employees here, they are very sweet and helpful. I always find some little treasure every time I shop here. The employees keep the store very clean and organized. I can easily lose track of time and spend 2 hours in here. I always have fun here. Highly recommend!!!

Love this store. They have a lot of items and their prices are very reasonable. The employees are very sweet, helpful and they don’t mind staying over a couple minutes after the store hours close. A great place to shop. There always getting in nice items. Overall just a clean great store and atmosphere to shop in. Very neat and maintained and you can always find what your looking for.

This store usually has pretty good clothing to choose from. Their home goods department is ok, but those shelves are usually not full. Employees here are usually above average and friendly. I will continue to browse this store for frugal deals. Especially watching the color tag of the week for 50% off 😀.Update #1 4/29/2022 Thursday 4:30pm: Staffing quality has greatly gone downhill, while the # of staff was 6 this afternoon that I was able to count while browsing. Employees "hanging out" chatting loudly, using profanity in the presence of customers and using no manners or proper grammer with the shoppers whatsoever. One girl was doing her job while swapping stories. Pricing has jumped up across the store "because the gas done went up". Shelves and racks are full, and only 3 customers were in the store. I'll go to the new location of St. Vincent DePaul on Hwy 30 from here on.Update #2 9/11/2022 Sunday noo : Cashier was super friendly, but while browsing the floor workers were audibly complaining about everything under the sun. The prices have gone up even more, but now due to "inflation". Time to stick to St. V. DePaul and the smaller local thrift stores. I agree with other locals on Facebook in saying that until Goodwill does better by their customers and community, we're done with Goodwill.

Dropped off some stuff today at Goodwill in Gonzales, LA. One item was a Rowenta Steamer iron I have had for years. It has a gasket leak on the water compartment lid. Just annoying but no major problem.I picked up several items while in there. One was a limited edition of a Thomas Kincade Crystal Snowman Globe. It's beautiful and all there. In his belly there is a village plus a train that operates.It cost $20.00. That's a steal.I go into lots of Goodwills and usually they are clean and not junked up. This one had lots of goodies to choose from and the employees were all over the store restocking and straightening merchandise.

I've been shopping Goodwill for years but recently stopped. Goodwill stores are only as good as the management. The Gonzales store is about making money not goodwill. They price things according to brand. That low income families cannot afford to pay $20 or more for a pair of quality shoes or clothing doesn't matter. As of this writing they no longer allow returns of electronic items if they don't work even for exchange. Too many times they haven't been checked thoroughly and do not work as they should regardless if they start when plugged in. Gonzales, LA Goodwill needs a major housecleaning.

Rude. Was being nice and donating a sofa and the guy flat out told me we don’t want this. Frustrating that I loaded this up and traveled 30 minutes away on my own time and that’s how I’m treated. Never again will I donate at that store.

The most disappointing thing about Goodwill is what they do to their books, as well as movies. Why in the world would anyone think it is ok to use a permanent marker and draw lines through the titles on the actual covers?!?! It ruins the books! They are no longer able to be treasured in children’s rooms or in family home libraries. This act is disgusting and tasteless!

Called to check and see if they had a microwave so I would not waste a trip. The lady on the phone said she did not know and she did not think so. Did not offer to go look or ask anyone else. Not very good service in my opinion.

i went to buy somthing that had no tag and brought it to the cashier and i only had 50 and it cost 1dollar and she told me no in the ruddest way. not only that good wills site it says they will take any amount of money if u dont have enouph for it..
