Fried shrimp poboy was excellent and large enough shrimp to actually chew on and enjoy. They have an expansive menu and you can walk in and out quickly with your food if you choose one of the lunch specials. I love taking my wife and kids here for a treat.They open early and have breakfast foods, donuts and plate sized apple fritters.Parking can get interesting when they get busy, but this is summarily a place to take friends, family or coworkers for a nice meal.

I'm a out of towner. Came here had great time except for today. I stood at counter patiently waiting for a refill of water. After customer infront was taken care of, the lady behind counter glanced at me, then ignored and took other customers. Ill never return. The disrespect is absurd. I had high praise for this place. They lost a good customer today.

We made the stop here to let my husband try the great home cooked foods . They have the best homemade biscuits , my granddaughter loves their bacon . My husband tried the grits , biscuits and was very impressed his words “whoever cooking that grits v know what they’re doing”

Sugar Shack is a nice place to breakfast, lunch and dinner. There food is delicious. I love their Poorboy's, all the above.ribs, fish, Salad. Breakfast for filling. And I'm close by.

While not the absolute best food I've ever had, they are generously proportioned and good priced, making it a good choice for a hot meal you don't have to cook and clean up after yourself.

If you want a King cake that tastes like a glazed donut then run to the Sugar Shack. The King cakes are the best I've ever had!!!!!! The service was awesome and fast, considering they had a group of people wanting desserts. They also serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Great Service and great foodBreakfast is always great and there's always plenty of options available for lunch and supper. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Would recommend for any meal of the day as well as a great place if you have a sweet tooth. 👍👍

I was really looking forward to their shrimp bisque at the fair but it was AWFUL. My sister ordered the same thing and I didn't say what I thought of it till she said something. Her words after the first bite was "this is awful" other customers we overheard were saying the same about their food. Their line system was awful. We constantly had people cutting in front of us because the people taking orders would point to people and tell them to walk up instead of the ones next in line. We waited for awhile and got our order taken and then was told cash only. Good thing my sister was next to me and had cash. We all looked for the sign saying "cash only" and we couldn't find it.

Good food and good atmosphere matching up with good prices. However some of the staff are somewhat rude and have some type of attitude towards paying customers. I don't think I've ever had a friendly cashier sense I've been going there. I mean these are the people taking our money and the faces we are gonna put with the business so you'd think they would be a little more nice to folks. I'd recommend trying though

For the most part, I really enjoy their food. Especially the spaghetti and meatball Wednesday special. Clubs and salads are good as well. They're very friendly and have an awesome menu.However, I was very disappointed with the King Cake. Everyone in the area talk's about how good they are. But the one I got was like a giant rolled donut with hardly any cream AND, there was no cinnamon in it. Every King Cake I've ever had, has had cinnamon in it. I just wasn't impressed.

Good home cooking, pleasant ambience, friendly staff. 😋 I love the fried fish menu on Fridays & the potato salad tastes 👍great! It's hard to find a decent potato salad these days but this one makes the grade. It's also clean with clean restrooms. Sugar Shack is a "must stop in" when I come thru town!

The Sugar Shack is the best place to go to and get donuts. The donuts are the best and the prices are great. I try to go by there as often as I can. Try the donuts and you'll love them also. They also have other food there

We are here from Lower Alabama on a little quiet getaway and found this place while we were randomly looking for a breakfast spot. We were pleasantly surprised! They had some of THE BEST biscuits and gravy I’ve EVER HAD! We’ll keep this place in mind, next time we’re in Franklinton!!!

The staff is friendly and fast. The food is delicious! It's like getting a home cooked meal away from home. Definitely recommend eating here. FYI~If you're going for lunch be sure to get there before it's all gone for the lunch special.

Will never eat sugar shack again. My daughter and I went for donuts and milk. We had bought 4 milks 3 of them were expired. I told John of who I was told to be the manager. I was not refunded nor was the milk replaced. Bad enough of the high prices spending $24 dollars on 4 donuts and 4 milks but to see John take the milk and put it back in the cooler knowing it to be expired just made both of us sick.Sure wish that there was negative star system because a I sure would give the highest negative star possible.

I love Sugar Shack. Everyone is always so nice. The owner stands by to see everything in place. They have the best friend chicken and fish. It was pretty warm in there but it's worth the warmeth.

Most of the food is good, but someone needs to teach them how to cook scrambled eggs. And I think the stirofoam plates are the worst.
