2022 update: the prices for their diner food is ridiculous. Ordered steak finger basket which was priced at $8.99 on menu. Went to pay and it's was $18! I asked about it and was told all of the prices went up but the menu items do not reflect this. Nobody even mentioned it when we were ordering. 5 steak fingers, French fries, salad with only lettuce & tomato was $18! And after I got my food, I was never checked on and no refills. I understand inflation, but tell people! The cashier said they ordered new menus, so why not take a sharpie and write on the old ones until then? I can't imagine a family going in to eat and their ticket surprisingly being doubled without them realizing.2021: This place has been a convenient stop near the lake for years. It is a gas station, convenient store, and casual diner. My family has stopped here since I was a kid, and even though changes have occurred over the years, it is still a good place. The workers are friendly and easy to talk to.The dining area has about 12 tables (seats 4 people each) and extra near the entrance. Items served include: burgers, salads, pizza, steak fingers, poboys, fish, shrimp, fries, onion rings, etc. All reasonably priced. I ordered steak fingers- comes with fries/onion rings, gravy, toast, and side salad for about $8.The store used to have ice cream served and the workers would pile it up, but that has been removed. Now you can purchase Blue Bell ice cream in pints.There is a restroom inside.Store has bottled drinks, candy/snacks, small household items, alcohol, newpapers, etc.

Awesome food! Stopped for breakfast had cheese omelette with bacon tomatoes and onions- delicious! Tons of filling and the grits and biscuit good too. Hubby had two egg special- could not eat even half- the pancakes big and fluffy, great hash browns.

No matter what you get on their dining menu — you'll certainly be FULLY satisfied! Compliments to all staff. Plus, their convenience shelves are always stocked with whatever you'd need.

Just stopped in for lunch not busy at all waitress standing around on phone and talking with other employees waiting 515 minutes to get order taken then when we asked someone going to take our order waitress came over with attitude like she'd spit in the gravy new owners just lost our business thanks to their ride waitress

Been going to the store for years to eat breakfast during our yearly week long stay at the lake. Its alway’s been great food at a fair price. This year our first morning went for breakfast, new owners or so I have been told. The food was horrible and the prices are extremely high. There was 6 of us at the table. 2 of us ordered biscuits and gravy which is a side item for $4.75 each. Once it was all added up it was $96 in all. The omlet came out to be over $20, the menu does not reflect the right prices at all. Went to the Dollar General behind Tidbits after I was robbed by Curtis, spent $50 and ate for 3 days with much better food and we all had plenty each morning. Its a good thing I had the blackstone with me. If nothing changes he will be closed soon. All the past years lots of people would stop by while we ate. This time while there an hour maybe 3 or 4 cars stopped in. Come to the lake prepared to cook your own breakfast or bring your check book and prepare to leave BROKE!!!!

Took the kids to the army rec center and it started raining. Wanted to go to Pirate cove and eat while the storm passed but went here instead. Ordered off the regular menu for my son and I and the other two ordered off the kids menu. Total price came out to 57. When I asked them why it was so expensive, they charged us for the adult meals instead of kids meals. The difference was the toast.. lolNice place, very chill atmosphere but paying 57 for slightly better than gas station food has killed this place to me. I'll pack a lunch next time for sure.

Went to Curtis the other day, the Food was AWESOME as always. The only complaint I have iswhen, I started to pay the food was a lot higher then what was on the menu. If the Man up front has a new price list so should the menu or have it somewhere

Nice little store. Everyone who works here is very friendly. They have a restaurant inside and the food is good. They don't have much for fishing tackle but they don't claim to be a bait and tackle store.

I cant even tell you the food was. We waited close to 2 hours and never got our order.There were only half a dozen tables occupied.We would have left a lot sooner, but my wife needs to eat on a regular schedule.It was only after our child had a melt down that we gave up.No sorry, no refills not even an acknowledgement.There were still 2 families trying to tough it out when we left.I guess if you call in your order as soon as they open, they can get you breakfast by noon?Meh.

Must try their BOB for breakfast. This breakfast on a bun was huge with fresh scrambled eggs, cheese, we choose ham and it was thick slices on a large butter toasted bun. At 6am, was ordered and in our hands in 10 minutes, well worth the wait as the Ladies make it fresh!!

We LOVE Curtis’s after a day at the lake! Everything you might need plus wonderful burgers! Check out the cafe for a great meal - burgers, poboys, fish, plate lunches, and all the trimmings. Coolest vending machine for all your fishing lure needs. Locally owned!

Oh my goodness! We have been going to Toledo Bend ( MWR side ) for about 6 years straight once a year for a retreat! Why haven't we stopped here before to eat behooves me!!! When I tell yall I had the best shrimp I've ever had in my life 😋 😩 😫 And the ladies behind the counter were amazing!!! Started off purchasing 1lb. then after tasting it ended up getting another 2 before even leaving the parking lot! I sat in that car and went to heaven at least twice!!!!! Please go!!! You won't be disappointed

Buyer be awareThey ripped me off on my orderI placed an order for 10 lbs of crawfish and 5 lbs of shrimp.When I got home I weighed the crawfish and had 10 lbs.When I weighed the shrimp I had 4.25 lbs of shrimp.I went to the store and told the what happened. They told me to get back with them the following weekend.On Saturday I called and tried to work it out with the owner's mother but she said they measure by count and not by weight. So even though the charged me almost $17/ lb they didnt give me the full 5 lbs because the use a count instead of weight.I will never shop there again.If you decide to buy anything from there make the weight it or count it.

My Family and I really enjoy the food from here.. staff is friendly too. Great hamburgers, philly steak sandwiches and fried fish to name a few. Next time i will take pictures. Check it out.

A standard in the Toro community for many years. Good food. Lead-free gas for boat engines. Little expensive but cheaper than run into town for a few items.UPDATE5/22 Credit card readers removed from pumps. Must go inside and prepay now. High cost to maintain readers given as reason for the inconveniences to customer.Using other business to get ⛽️ gasoline and convenience items.

This convenience store is really expensive. It is close to Toledo Bend Lake. Be careful when they ring you up, they tried to add the previous persons total to my total. But they do have a decent selection of products you may need while visiting the lake. The restaurant inside the store serves good food.

We went here because we were told it was a good restaurant with good food. We went for breakfast around 930am. It was completely empty. The waitress was extremely rude. I said hello to her and she didn't respond, just looked at me. Then she stood over me and looking at me with a scowl on her face when I was trying to order. Everytime she brought our food out, I said thank you and she didn't respond but one time with a yea. As soon as all our food was on the table, she dropped the check and never came back to check on us. We could see her in the kitchen and she may have been prepping food, but there was NO ONE else in the store but the other cashier. Everytime she saw us looking at her, she would give us a mean scowl and keep doing what she was doing or walk to the back. She was very rude. I will not come back and I do not recommend this place at all.

We love Curtis Grocery and restaurant. Burgers are great, patty melts, lunch specials, salads. A friend from Hawaii calls it a five star gas station restaurant!!

Good food reasonably priced. Only thing is it seems like everything else is over priced, but what else can you expect? It's kinda in the middle of nowhere, so they can walk to the beat of their own drum

Your in the sticks, literally if your out here. This is the only place to get a burger that I know of while I'm at the Lake House, that I don't have to cook! They are GREAT!

A perfectly situated grocery store. I was worried that I would have to travel far to pick up groceries that I forgot, but Curtis's was only minutes from the lake and launch. Plenty of snacks and a full seafood/Cajun restaurant rest inside this little store.The crawfish smelled good, but they ran out before I was able to order some.
