Very disappointed in Mr. T’s. Called ahead of time to confirm availability of a plate lunch, a woman over the phone implied that there were plenty left, and I informed her that I would be driving from Jennings and I was on my way. I get there and they feign confusion over my ordering a plate lunch (beef tongue). They had sold out. Common sense would dictate that when you have a customer driving from a distant town, you hold one or two items for them; not at this establishment. You get one star because the food has always been a league above the rest, but I and my family will not be returning. Learn common decency.

Nice surprise traveling across Louisiana not on I-10. We asked a couple of guys in the parking lot (didn't get their names, sadly) what they would recommend inside. One recommendation stood out - "They serve one of the best hamburgers around here!" So we ordered hamburgers. They did not disappoint!It's not a "fast food" place but the time spent waiting was reasonable especially considering the quality and accuracy of our 'complicated order.' The service was polite and pleasant.The restaurant is connected to a store which includes a great meat department with a good selection of in-store made sausages.Sometimes taking US 190 is a less stressful drive between Cajun (can we still say 'Cajun'?) country and Houston. As long as you expect to take a little more time, do yourself a favor and stop by Mr T's!

Just love this place. My favorite is the Pure Pork Hot Sausage. These are sausages like the old days. Smoked perfectly and seasoning on point every time.

Very disappointed. I walked up to the counter and placed my order and was told they had to drop the fried boudin and I agree to a 10minute wait 15 minutes later I'm told she had not filled out a ticket so my order was not placed and now the kitchen is closed. The lady that I placed my order with has left I will never try to give you my business again.

Deli has some good meats, especially the sausage. They hot box food and also cook to order. Very lovely place at most times of the day. Parking can be a nightmare and prices are a little on the high side. Smoke will sometimes come inside the building from the smokehouse. Most problems are just with location, as a meat market you'll be hard pressed to find better meat and sausage.

3 generations of service. With one of the family members driving fire prevention. “Who still did not bring me a smoke detector 9months and I’m still waiting. Any way parking is tight, be careful to not hit the gas meter with extra large gas line going 15’ up the store wall. No guards to stop your car. Just 360 degrees of distractions. This place is own one operated by a family with 333 years of experience Seems to me this matter would of been easily spotted in the blue prints. So I can’t help but to call this experience planning! Kinda like a pregnancy program. 3 stars for efforts and efficiency. I would of Given 5 but they didn’t count on this report and the DNA.

Friendly hometown folks that I have known for years. Great selection of fresh and smoked meats. There sausage is good and they do process deer for sausage. The cheeseburger basket is delicious, I would recommend stopping for lunch. There are various grocery items and produce available. Lots of soft drinks and even boudin balls and corn dogs. Stop by and say hi to Tony ,Ms Becky and Roger they will be glad to see you and tell them I sent you!😄

Staff was ... kind of rude and acted as if they hated there job. Ordered 2 chicken tender combo's and the chicken tenders were HORRIBLE! Tasted uncooked & dry! Fries were great! As well I noticed the owner socializing with all his customers (as he should) being that there part of his community & he is the mayor. I'm from the small little town & he knows my grandparents VERY VERY well 🤔 wondering why when I entered with my family of new faces ... I felt so out of place and ready to go from my little small town ... no one addressed us, people were rude ..... I regretted spending my $15.00 and change in that store that day.

Used to be a really good place to get meat and a few other groceries. But now it's very very expensive. And also the boudin used to be delicious. And the boudin balls too. But now they are terrible

Has the best pepper jack boudin balls around hands down! You definitely get your monies worth and they are hot and fresh. Called ahead for a large order for my class reunion and they were perfect (everyone raved about them). Burgers are made with real ground meat and are good size. Cracklings are fried to perfection. Fried chicken doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. The meat market is stock stocked daily with delicious fresh cuts of meat. I honestly am impressed that they can compete with the big stores for it being in a such a small town but the prices are pretty comparable. I don't have to drive all the way into town for everything. If you are traveling down 190 don't hesitate to stop in and grab a burger and fries or a plate lunch. Boudin balls or fried shrimp. Trust me everything is good and you won't leave there hungry.

Great place to work. Buy the best meat, boudin, sausage, smoked meats right there. Staff if friendly and ready to help with any questions you have. Come by and check us out. Also serving boiled crawfish on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 til 9 p.m. Great food also. Plate lunches everyday. Come by and check us out ... You won't be disappointed.

They took way too long to get my order to me, I ordered chicken strips from the hot box(they were already made) and one order of french fries.. was waiting for 30 minutes and talked to them twice about it. The bathrooms were so also disgusting!!

Boudin was so hot when I asked for a mild boudin. The boudin ball was the same thing to hot. It don't make any since when you ask if it's to got and they say oh no not at all. The fried ribs was like eating jerky. Never again.

Friendly staff and Mr T is always there in the morning to welcome customers. My go to stop for breakfast in the morning. If you are passing through Elton Louisiana, Stop by, you will not regret it!!!
