This is where we always go to get our medicine to fill and refill. We have never had a problem with the Pharmacist or the Staff. They are always willing to help us in anyway. I’m looking at some of these other reviews and I can’t believe they are talking about the same store.

The main pharmacist here is absolutely the rudest pharmacist I have ever dealt with. He’s judgmental, he withheld my medications despite another pharmacy filling them without question. I’ve never been treated so poorly and I would give -0.000 stars if I could. Shame on you we are real people with real health issues and we deserve to be treated as such. I will never return to this appalling business again as long as I live. Totally disgusted.

Lately every time I go there the drive through is not open, what's the deal? I called and a young lady said the drive through is being worked on, seems like this is what I am told everytime I call!

One of the worst pharmacies in the state. Don’t have meds half of the time. Always late. Slow. Rude workers. If you have the option to escape to a diff pharmacy that takes your insurance. Run.

Once again I was forced to work for free and check myself out in order to purchase OTC medication. There wasn’t a single employee to be found in the store outside of the pharmacy. After waiting 5 minutes, because I had an age restricted item, an employee miraculously appeared to authorize the self checkout register to allow me to complete my transaction to purchase NyQuil. The employee failed to greet me, failed to apologize for the wait, and failed to thank me for choosing to shop there. The employee didn’t even look me in the face. She completely failed to acknowledge my presence. This isn’t the first time this has happened at CVS Destrehan but it will be the last time. I’ve left feedback before and no one from CVS contacted me. So apparently the store manager, the district manager and the regional manager do not care about the customer experience in their stores. I gave CVS one more chance by filling out a survey that was emailed to me the instant I completed my purchase. I doubt if anyone will contact me as they didn’t the time before. We as consumers have options. As of now, you’ve lost a loyal customer. As of now I won’t be back.

0 Stars would be more appropriate. I have been a customer of this store for 15+ years and now I'm done. Today I made the mistake of questioning a managers knowledge of their policy, as stated on the CVS website. I was ignored, walked away from, infantilized and gaslit. When I had finally had enough and raised my voice (as people who are ignored tend to do) I was told I could be escorted out of the store! I was also told if I didn't like the policy or her attitude, I shouldn't shop there. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had at a retail store. I wonder how corporate feels about staff discouraging patronage?

I went at 1:45 today to get a prescription that was ready for pickup only to find a sign closed for lunch. Is this something new? How do you close the entire pharmacy for lunch all at once? People take time out of their day to go there only to have to either wait until it's convenient for them to reopen, or go home and have to make a second trip to get the prescription. Poorly managed and terrible customer service....

They provide great service filling prescriptions at a high volume. Seldom do you wait more than 10 minutes. That's my pain threshold of waiting!! 10 minutes :)

Lazy pharmacists take over 3 hours to fill one prescription. Don’t waste your time, just go to Winn Dixie across the street. They do more with two pharmacists than cvs can do with six. Besides, don’t support a business that allows pharmacists to deny contraceptive based on their own religious beliefs.

I’ve always had a nice experience with the ladies in the front check out until today. One Of the newer customer service reps in the front has no manners whatsoever. Talks down to people, argumentative and rude. I’ve been going to CVS for over 25 years and for the most part everyone is very nice, friendly and helpful. The two older ladies in the pharmacy are great! Management needs to remind her why she is there and how to talk to people. I’ll make sure I never check out with her again and find one of the other ladies that know how to treat people.

Came to get sons prescription doctor called it in and when we got here the pharmacy is closed for lunch from 1-2 we are still sitting here at 2:32pm waiting for one prescription. Not sure why closed for an hour In The middle of pharmacy open hours I’m sure they are catching up on many prescription orders to fill from that one hour and 5 minutes they were all gone.

It is currently 10:35pm on a Monday evening; according to the currently listed store hours both on the website and here at the local physical location it states that the store is physically open until 11pm on a Monday however that is not the case. I arrived at 10:27pm and the doors are locked, all lights still on however. Simply, a one time occurrence it's understandable and also things happen that cam effect local locations but this is now twice. Maybe the store needs updated information.

Absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to.I've put up with them for years, but yesterday I finally transferred all of prescriptions to a different pharmacy.Nobody working at this CVS knows how to do their job, are the rudest customer service employees I've ever seen, and they don't care about lying right to your face.I was told on a Wednesday that my prescription would be ready for pick-up two days later (Friday) at 10 am. I go at noon and it isn't ready, they tell me to go back in line at the drop-off counter. I wait 15 minutes and finally speak to a short black woman wearing glasses and a crew-cut style of hair (anyone who goes there knows exactly who I'm talking about, I want everyone to be aware of which one she is).I told her that I spoke with someone two days prior and was told that it would be ready today. She looked at me said, "no you didn't". She called me a liar to my face and went on to say that it wouldn't be ready for two more days. I asked why and she said because it can't be filled until 28 days after the prior refill; that day was the 28th day. I explained to her that December has 31 days, and today is the 28th day. She told me I was wrong and to have a nice day.I then went right next door to a different pharmacy and spoke with them, and they had it filled in 20 minutes without a problem.Absolute worst, rudest service imaginable. This is just one of the many things wrong with this place. They're messing with people's prescribed medication and not doing it right because they're too lazy and incompetent to do it correctly.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever dealt with. Phoned in refills for my prescriptions Thursday and they called and said they were ready. Go there today and only 3 out of 4 were ready. Tried to tell me my doctor phoned in a different strength. I have been to my doctor in 3 months. Try telling a better lie. Very incompetent staff.

There is never a cashier at the register waiting for people to check out. She sees us there, waiting to pay for our stuff but doesn’t care. She goes and does whatever she feels like doing and then take her sweet time getting back to the register as if none of us in line has anywhere else to be. It happens every time I come here

Usually a well-stocked and staffed location. They're pretty good about getting your prescriptions filled in a timely manner. Sometimes, though, the store is really lacking in certain departments' stock, and the prices are often higher than those of competitors.

This pharmacy has continuously deteriorated in service over the last few years. Avoid using them if possible. The whole group of employees are rude. They need some better leadership and employees.

I don't know what it is about CVS but the chain pharmacies overall has the worst customer service/rudest pharmacy clerks of any chain pharmacy I have ever been in.I have used CVS drug stores all over the US and this one on Airline Hi-way in Destrehan is the worst of the worst.I thought I'd encountered the worst one in Berwick, PA.I was wrong, this place is even more slip shod and disorganized then any one I have ever used.I give up. I have tried to tolerate the bad service for convince of location for two years now. Tonight was the L*A*S*T straw, I'll drive to Sam's in Kenner.Two customers who had been waiting much longer then I had gave up and walked out, but guess what, they will have no choice to go back at least one more time to get their scripts. I hope they have the sense to never go back in there.I'll never spend a dime in a CVS anywhere from this point on and I’ll do my best to make sure no one I know does either.They will be loosing about $17,000.00 a year in revenue by losing us as customers, that won’t seem like much but if I can convince just a few folks I know to swap from CVS across the US, maybe corporate will get on the ball and examine what is going so wrong in these pharmacies.

I miss Destrehan Pharmacy already. The CVS employees are good people, but they are too busy now and wait times for prescriptions are far too long. Destrehan Pharmacy was incredibly more convenient.

Very very unprofessional and irresponsible pharmacy’s staff, if you want to come here and get your medication I recommend you to go anywhere else, my father went to pick up my mother’s medication he was given a bag with the medication on it, he noticed the bottle was open and the pills where out of the bottle, when my father bought that to the attention of the lady in the pharmacy the lady rudely and loudly told my father that that was nothing wrong with that and said to take the bag and leave and never to come back, my dad 67 years old didn’t say anything and just walked away, i was in shock I was going to said something when my dad say don’t just let’s go, I never thought that I would see people like that to treat somebody up an age like that, I’m very dissatisfied and angry with this people
