I have brought my dog Thor, who is currently 10 months old, to Hayes since I got him at 10 weeks old. I have never had an issue with this Vet's office. In fact my baby gets so excited when he sees the staff there that has seen him since 10 weeks old. Very friendly and completely understanding staff. I will keep bringing all of my animals to this office as long as they will allow us too. 😆

Great vet. Always very helpful. It's nice to have a small town vet who understands that livestock are just that. We still love them but we can't always afford to pay a fortune when our livestock have problems. Definitely my go to goat vet.

We love Hayes Vet! They’ve always been so good to us and our pups! I was so worried about finding a good vet when we moved here from South Carolina but Dr Turner is truly great. Her and all the ladies there are friendly and always so good with my 3 dogs! I believe their prices are good, I never have to wait forever for an appt & they even answer my questions when I call a million times for the smallest things! lol

My experience with Hayes Veterinary Clinic is always the best! I am from Pennsyvania, I bring Southern Fur Babies up North to loving homes. Dr. Hayes, his Veterinarians and his staff are by far the best I have ever used down South! Our rescue recently saved a bonded pair of Lab mixes and needed to get them into see a vet ASAP, since they were emaciated and had no known prior medical history. Hayes Veterinary Hospital was able to see these dogs the same week, were great with communication and vetted them in a very friendly, professional, accommodating manner...5 stars all the way for this clinic!!!

This is the only place I will ever take my babies. We had a terrifying scare these last few days. Our Bunz Kitty caught a really bad upper respiratory infection. We stayed hopeful he would pull through as it seemed like he was taking his last breaths. We were the first patients in the door Monday morning and they took Bunz in right away. Dr.Turner and Bunz’ Vet Tech Allison were so informative and caring the entire time. Bunz stayed overnight with them and when I came to pick our boy up today, he was his same old self again!!!! I’m writing this with happy tears in my eyes. Bunz is so precious to us, and they brought him back to us!!! Thank goodness for Dr. Turner and Allison, Thank you Hayes Veterinary Clinic!!!!!

I was under the expression that I was going to have to put my service dog down because of a false diagnosis from an emergency vet clinic around here. I took Princess to Hayes Vet afterwards only to find out that she was going to be alright. Everyone at Hayes is very professional and compassionate about what they do. I began using Hayes Veterinarian Clinic when she took over for Dr. Horner. I took all three of my pets there. I had two dogs and one cat. My dogs were vaccinated and I bought their flea and tick pills there. They were very nice and professional. I didn't have any problems at all until my dog Petey got sick. He had been going there since the age of six weeks and he was now 2 years old. I took him to the vet because I could see that he didn't have an appetite and just wasn't himself. My husband took him to the vet and we got a prescription for steroids. We had to hide a pill in a weeny for him to take it. He began losing weight drastically. He weighed 60 lbs. and he lost 10 pounds in one week. We took him back to the vet and he just kept getting sicker and sicker. No tests were ever done or suggested. We were told he must've got in some poison. I didn't think so because he stayed indoors more than outdoors. I called to schedule a third appointment and that's when we were told he would have to be on medication for the rest of his life. Only ten days earlier I had a happy and healthy 2 yr old dog. Peter died in my living room not being able to even lift his head or eat or drink. He was dead before I got a phone call from the clinic offering to put him down (for a fee of course). That was the first and only time that Petey was checked on. I now have Petey's nephew and no longer use the services of Hayes Veterinarian Clinic.

I couldn't be there for my baby's appointment because I was at my own Dr's appointment so my husband took her. They treated my new puppy like their own and she received all the shots she needed. She showed no signs of discomfort there or later at home. I will be continuing to use Hayes Veterinary for all my pets! Thank you guys!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I have been trying to find a vet for my goats for months and finally found Hayes and couldn't be happier with service and level of compassion they have there. Will definitely be back it's worth the hour drive

Many thanks to Hayes Veterinary Hospital and Entrance Road Veterinary Clinic for saving Ajax yesterday (Tuesday, 10/27/20). It was determined he had a blockage and they did surgery immediately, knowing it was his second abdominal surgery and that he had clotting issues, and were able to unkink his intestine and put him back right. I was scared we were going to lose him. He was rather fond of the blue wrap. He won't let me take it off and I opted not to argue about it.

Found what we thought was an injury to Blondie turned out to be a cancer growth. Dr had her her stay the night and removed it next morning and was back home that night. Did a follow-up to remove stitches but forgot to bring Mr Pickles for his shot but will be back on the 20th. Sure he still remembers the place since Dr snipped him about 7 months ago. Great staff all the way around.

We really like Dr. Turner's friendliness towards us and our dogs. We used to not feel comfortable here, like we were talked down to (by a different veterinarian), but over the last year, it has greatly improved.Location: off hwy 171. Gps will take you there. Private parking lot. Limited parking.Atmosphere: no strong odors. Bright. Waiting area with about 8 chairs. Service desk/check in right when you walk in the door, shares the same space as the waiting area. Their banisters and ramp outdoors needs some tlc.Staff: Friendly overall. Fairly quick when we have gone. There have been a few times when scheduling has been confusing and incorrect when we arrive, but it was resolved well. I appreciated staff understanding my small dog's anxiety around others, and they allowed us to go straight to the back for our visit. I do not feel rushed during our visit and the veterinarian ensures we don't have any questions and she informs us of possible side effects of medicines and shots.Pricing: depends on what you need and the size of your pet. My 22 lb westie just got the 12 month heartworm preventative shot for $135. Our 50lb pitbull got the same thing for $189. Office visit fee is $11. You can always call ahead and ask for expected payment amount.Services: puppy shots, annual check up, general/routine shots, heart worm preventative, flea and tick, spay & neuter, xrays, injuries, sickness, and concerns. I've known them to take dogs, cats, farm animals, and our chinchilla.Overall, I feel fine taking our pets here for their vet needs. I do wish this location had some after hours care though, we really need it in deridder. If you have an emergency after hours, you will have to call the pet ER in Lake Charles and go there.
