If I could, I'd be giving 6*!!!Brought my dog in for RH lameness recently, but also intermittently over the past 6 months.The attending veterinarian was awesome as in took the time to thoroughly examine the dog, explained everything really well and one could clearly see the empathy for the animal. This paired with profound knowledge makes for a great veterinarian.Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic! SawOreo quickly when I called about her sudden leg pain. I literally called them crying because I could not figure out what she had done while I was at the store. I was able to bring her in that afternoon to see Dr. Chris. We discussed treatment options for her along with what steps we should take when to financially get through what could have been a long term issue. Very very caring staff even for my precious looking pup who likes to nip Dr. Chris like she’s 10 times her size. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and it’s caring staff.

If you have any shed of love for your pets, NEVER EVER Bring them to South Lafourche Vet Clinic, They literally let our ChubChubs Die Over money, the first time we brought her in we asked about payment plans, we both have jobs, That african American Vet woman, was just stuck up, wouldnt even try helping us, we had problems start around noon and by the time they opened at 1 she died as we walked in, they couldnt help us find out whats wrong with her, and didnt do a single thing to help besides help our pockets get lighter. Look at the photo if you wanna see how your pets gonna look if you aint rich

We love South Lafourche Vet Clinic and their entire staff! We have multiple animals who have seen both veterinarians multiple times. We have never had a negative experience. These professionals are caring and no nonsense. They will tell you exactly what the situation is, and they do what they can to work within your budget. I brought in one of my cats just yesterday, and Dr. Alex got down and sat on the floor with him when he didn’t want to leave his carrier. She was so gentle with him, and you can tell how much she truly cared. This is the kind of experience we’ve had every time.

We have brought our babies to the very capable and caring staff of SLVC for over 5 years. We’ve established great relationships with the staff, and have reached out several times after hours for advice and reassurance. Since our first visit, and in every one afterwards, we have felt welcomed, heard, and respected. At no point have we been pressured into unnecessary treatment or testing. In fact, we have always been given alternatives in lieu of invasive procedures, unlike our former vet. Each visit, the doctors sit on the floor and soothe our pets, and listen intently to any problems we have. This surprised me, this simple act of love shown to our pets reassured me that the doctors truly care for them. I’d never experienced a vet that was so down to earth.The doctors at this clinic take the care of your baby seriously. They are extremely professional and direct, not at all stuck up as other reviews have mentioned.The support staff are phenomenal as well. Everyone knows our boys by name and are genuinely excited to see them, and do everything to make their visit comfortable.I’m grateful to have such a competent team in our community.

Hands down the BEST VETERINARY CLINIC for 100 miles. They’re care is unparalleled to other clinics in the area , patient, kind, professional, and up to speed on the latest medicines and procedures. CLEAN and absolutely perfect In every way. I found a dog on the side of the road with a bullet in his back they nursed him back to health and now he’s the healthiest and smartest dog one could ask for. THANK YOU

Owning a pet is not a right, it is a privilege. Thank you for giving every animal the same consideration and concern, and working with owner's budgets to provide the best care you're able within those parameters. Unfortunately not everyone is prepared financially for medical emergencies, and while those who fail to provide properly for their animals may speak irrationally ill of the clinic everyone else appreciates your service and dedication to the care of animals.

A total hell experience. I was held hostage here by some very mean girl vet techs. They were constantly running unnecessary test and giving extra treatment after we already discussed treatment plan and funds. By the end of the appointment -what I had to pay was double original price. When I explained I couldn’t afford this extra shot - they held my dog hostage in the back room for a hour and wouldn’t speak to me until I yelled out for them. Wouldn’t let me leave unless I paid for the shot (probably because they gave it to her already knowing I couldn’t afford it). Horrible place. Had to over draft my account for unnecessary treatment.

Everything you would want from your veterinarian & team. Everyone has been kind to me every time I've gone. They're very thorough and do a good job making sure your pet is safe, comfortable, healthy. You can tell this clinic and staff cares deeply for the community. Aways clean and has plenty room in the waiting area so pets aren't too close to each other.

Love bringing my fur baby here. They are super awesome and Lil Bit loves coming here. He doesn't normally take to people because he was an abused rescue dog, but he really likes the people who work at this clinic. I am very satisfied with their services.

The staff was so kind & helpful, the sweet lady that carried my 60.8 lb Pitbull all the way from my vehicle to the door even though I had help to do that for her she insisted to carry her. Since our visit was during the virus we sat in our truck & the staff had to come outside to us but were just as professional & informative & performed their jobs as usual & were very effective in the treatment for my dog as she wasn't able to walk into the hospital & was very comfortable with the staff & the medication they administered to her had a almost sudden affect in her.As this was a Friday & my dog started to whine, the howl which is odd for her since Pitbull & white English bulldogs are generally quite, I took as her saying she was in pain, a call on Monday relieved my worries because the lady was again very informative & was able to explain better the condition in which she has.The price was very reasonable as well especially since the medication was included with the price of the visitI recommend this business

Our 1st experience there was great and priced was shocking great. Our lab had 2 abscess Dr. Chris ended up Pulling out 5 teeth, cut out two fatty bumps To her testes , X-ray, blood work, shots, the whole 9 yards. He also gave our chihuahua her year shots and blood work All for under $650. My husband and I was very impressed because I called around and everywhere else was over priced just to look at our dogs they wanted $300. Dr. Chris is friendly and cares about animals so does Dr. Alex!!!SUPER SWEET PEOPLE IN WHOLE VET!!!

Edit: after receiving a response from Dr Alex who didn't think it was fair that I review his business without actually using the services, I must clarify that my review is in response to Google's request for feedback based on my phone call about services not based on my actual use of service. Google requesting feedback based on a phone call is a real thing, who knew? I must clarify also that what is included in the quoted cost of a spay procedure at this vet ensures your pet will get above and beyond medical care during her procedure. Per Dr. Alex, the procedure includes the following "Our surgical fee, which you were quoted, not only covers the cost of the surgical procedure, it includes intra-operative monitoring of patient blood pressure, continuous electrocardiogram, IV fluid therapy, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, the use of an electrocautery surgical unit (for minimal bleeding) and heat support to name a few"My vet and other vets that I called provide the price for a basic procedure (as what would be given from a spay/neuter clinic) and you are then given the option of having "add ons" which increases the cost but isn't medically necessary according to the person's answering the phone. If you want to ensure your pet is getting the best quality medical care possible, South Lafourche opts to provide that care and nothing less.ORIGINAL POST : I called to get a price on a spaying procedure and they were almost 4 times over the cost at my normal vet. The pricing for an annual visit and vaccinations was pretty affordable and the worker that answered the phone was pretty pleasant.

Excellent care for my old Dobbie with heart failure. We were traveling and they saw us right away. BTW, I am a people doctor and many thing are the same across species. Vet corrected dose of meds prescribed by previous vet with very good results. There are 2 vets. Not that it matters, but they are husband and wife. I saw Dr Chris Boudy, if I remember last name correctly. Matters even less, but Dr. Chris is very handsome. Ha, ha, a little bonus. Reasonably priced.
