It's gotten better recently. For quite awhile I dreaded even going in. Their Hot Food Bar still needs improving, no one wants dried out food.

Upside, Great selection with many things on sale or marked down, has a good value isle, and check out employee took the time to set me up with WD card and saved me over 12 bucks on my 62 dollar bill. Downside is it's a lot of walking especially if you don't need a full buggy and not familiar with layout. I always expect butter and cheese to be near dairy. Instead seems like many like items are at opposite ends; f building. Also prices are high I just don't buy what I didn't come for and stick to sale items and value deals only but I do find this to be the case with most large grocery stores in our parish.

Winn Dixie is a nice, clean grocery store with very friendly employees. I would say that they have some pretty good meat.They also have some pretty good sales.

I’m goring to write this the day and the very moment it happened today 10/2/2023 I was walking into this Winn Dixie and got a mean and dirty look from a bald older man in the front of the building. I noticed he worked in the store but thought nothing of it. I went in looked around for 2-3 minutes before piling up some of the brand of water packs I had came to get. I also had got some sparkling waters because it’s a little hot outside and I like them. I get to the cashier, who was absolutely lovely her name was Ceecee I believe. She rung me up but didn’t see the sparkling waters in the front of the basket. I told her about them to make sure she scanned them and she said “oops I didn’t even see them”. While she was ringing me up I noticed she was having a little cough and touching the bottles on the drinking part, I made a remark about switching out the bottles because I’m just recently recovering from being sick. She said i was fine and I even said I’d pay for new ones if I had to, she said I was fine have a nice day and I did exactly what I said I did. I went back to to her and gave her a bag back because she gave me two. As I’m walking out of the store the Bald Walter white wanna be manager stopped me and accused me of not paying for my items. He had came in the store and basically sat and followed me around all while him and other employees are looking kind of lost but at me like I’m doing something wrong. He asked me for a receipt. I said “ It’s in the bag in my hand I just checked out up here with Ceecee”. He didn’t believe me and tried to walk me all the way up to her and asked if she had “checked out this gentleman”. She said yes and when she did he got upset like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. He then said you cannot leave the store without a bag. Which I had in my hand. Also I had 5 cases of water, did I need a bag for those ? He racially profiled me over some sparking water. If your gonna spend your life at a supermarket do it without the prejudiced attitude loser.

Rodney gave me such trouble! I had difficulty getting my groceries and he kept pushing me out! He also drove over both of my legs as soon as I checked out. Then, he used his fabled "Rodney UltraBlast" and wiped me off the face of the planet!!! #mood

Don't order their delivery. You'll be charged full price for everything. Everything. The majority of my order was buy one get one free or on sale (ex. 2 for $6), and none of the deals that showed in my cart online were honored on my receipt. Really disappointed. You'll also get quite a few wrong items, and your frozen goods will most likely be defrosted. I'm not sure what the driver did between the store and my house, but my delivery wasn't brought straight to me.

Great selection, great prices. Get a store card to get points towards groceries and extra savings. It's free. Ok but one concern I just saw a fellow just steal a bike and I cannot find a working number to call store

Wish I could say I loved the prices but I never shoot the messenger. Seems like just about everything has gone up. But in this day and time we pray and savor little wins. And especially important is having things stocked at least and that your employees show a smile, courtesy and patience even though we should also consider how hard it can be on them. On this day, they showed me all that and a sense of humor.

Friendly cashiers, clean aisles, good selection. This location may not be the flagship location in this city...but its really well run.Update.All about the same. The meat department definitely doesn't have the selection that hwy 21 store has. However, the staff is more friendly here, than hwy 21.

Store is okay just isn’t my go to. Prices are marked up too high then their rewards program makes it go back to normal price and makes it look like you saving when you really aren’t. People that aren’t signed up for the rewards program are getting taken advantage of like the older demographic which i really feel bad for.

I shop at the Winn Dixie on highway 21. It's very clean & inviting. Staff are always very friendly, professional & helpful. Pharmacy staff are excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly, professional & helpful too. I highly recommend this store.

it's way better than Highway 59 Mandeville Waining Due. there are RTS Retail Police Car Own Seats that are in pristine condition. I recommend this place. you'll love it

Good produce, expensive though. 100% more expensive than Walmart as far as chicken and dairy goes. I'm giving 1 star due to a very unpleasant, thoroughly horrible interaction with a spectacularly rude, nasty and arrogant junior manager that I can only describe as "Karen".Never in my life have I ever said "You obviously don't want my money, I'll spend it elsewhere" and walked out of a place, abandoning my shopping cart in front of a crowd of astonished onlookers.I wish I'd taken time to take note of "Karen's" name badge. I would have liked to have named and shamed her.I'll never, ever set foot in this store again.

Stocked clean organized great choices decent prices. A grocery store with real cashiers and not those self pay self bag self everything but still charge you the same price stores. They also have a good deli area . I was sad when they closed the store in irving Texas many years ago. Was one of my favorite places to shop.

I live in Hammond , office is right down from this winn Dixie so I decided to stop in to check it out . The WD hammond had No soup bunches neither did Albertsons . So, I go into this WD and guess what ? They had the soup bunches . The store is nice , clean , neat ; the prices are a lil higher but it’s worth it . I also LOVE ❤️ they actually still utilize real people as cashiers ,Hammond just implemented self check out and it was chaotic .so thanks Winn Dixie for all y’all do . I’d like to see the complimentary coffee station be kept up a lil better though , it’s always empty 🤦🏽‍♀️

Winn Dixie in Covington is nice. The people seem more friendly than with Laplace Winn Dixie. I'm wondering do grocery and retail stores STILL train their employees in manners, being polite and helpful to customers?

Theft from customers!! I ordered 1 lb of deli meat. I watched the lady in the deli add .3 lbs to the scale. She held her hand on the scale watching till she had a suitable weight before pressing print. This appeared to be intentional. When she picked the product up off the scale the tare read -.3 lbs.

Been shopping here for 13 years. They never seem understaffed at the checkout. I have always been treated well & the staff has always been gracious & kind. And, they employ regularly local kids from our high schools here, helping them to learn life lessons. They have been a blessing for our community

If you’re looking to stop in for a last minute tray of cheeses or sandwiches for a party or on game day from the deli, you’ll want to keep driving unless you’ve preordered. We ended up leaving , and spent bunches on sandwiches + libations & other snacks at another grocery. What a shame…

Almost always have we need. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Conveniently around the corner from us. I love that the aisles are wide. The other store on 21 has very narrow aisles. Gets congested quickly.

I shop at Winn Dixie quite frequently. Their produce and meat are a good quality. I do purchase quite a few of the Winn Dixie brands and don't really notice a big difference in taste. If you sign up for their shoppers card you can save even more on specific items. The cashiers are always polite and friendly. I have had an occasion to speak with the manager and he seems to care about his customers. I had an issue I wasn't happy about and he corrected it immediately. No hassle, no fuss, he just made it right.

Prices are way too high and bo go items are not much of a sale if original price is high to begin with.I never can find crab patties and the cost of them have gone up also. Stopped their today, 1 rotisserie chicken and 1 bunch of green onions was $10. RIDICULOUS!Don't shop their much anymore.
