Went in to buy a power drill. Great service from caring, well trained, well meaning, likable staff. This is a Home Depot. Nothing special but clearly well managed and better than what you expected from the usual Big Box store.

03FEB23 HOME DEPOT CHALMETTE and employees park their cars now in handicap spots right up front? Yesterday had to walk past "installation technician" in bright green t shirt(nice face tat by the way) standing at garden center entrance smoking! And again while I ckd out and left! No greeting from cashier when I entered bc she was busy talking to him and completely ignored me. HELLO!!! 17AUG22 Garden center closed again today at 3 o clock. Wth? ///// 18MAR24 AND THREE (3) DAYS IN A ROW AT 1100-1130 AND GARDEN CENTER OUTSIDE DOOR STILL NOY OPEN AND NOONE AT THE REGISTER?

I always enjoy my trips to home depot, easy to find things and helpful staff.BUT, this past week I went 3 times. I must say the best vists I've had in a very long time.I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE ALL OF THE SELF CHECKOUTS CLOSED. HOPE THEY KEEP IT THIS WAY.I really dislike self checkouts.Thank you home depot.

Had to find a manager cause employees ignore u n don't know how to help customers I had needed a hose pipe and I went the next day and Dave on isle 31 is the only one that helped me thank u so much I finally fixed my water hose pipe outside my house I give Dave 5stars great customer service care

Lakesha in the paint dept was the most knowledgeable and helpful employee I’ve ever encountered at any Home Depot anywhere! She took extra time to help me understand what my options were and make very informed decisions to acheihve my desired outcome. Lakesha may be home depots MVP and I believe she deserves a raise!

Very nice store. Things aren't typically blocking aisles, they're on the shelves as they should be. Staff is very professional and helpful. Catrice helped us with the self checkout and she was very professional and kind, not just to us, but to everyone.

Horrible customer service. No one would help and the woman at the desk wouldn't do anything but page people who didn't come. Then the store wouldn't answer the phone and the national line answered but it sounded like he was in a tunnel. He also said the customer service department wouldn't answer and he wasn't sure why. Do I want to call back?!

Store is good but rarely has big items come in store. They want you to order online for pickup or delivery. Then charge you to have it delivered from FedEx. And FedEx is awful as delivery service

PAINT DEPARTMENT. I went to the Chalmette store on Wednesday, March 7 at approximately 8pm. Very disrespectful young man who left me, and went to work with another customer. Had the audacity to try and justify his behavior! Shouldn't work in that department he was not knowledgeable AT ALL. Returned to the Chalmette store on 3/8 with my elderly mother in hopes of better service. Lakeisha was horrible!! I'm a pro Xtra member, and a retired vet whom makes large purchases. She spent her time trying to provide information about info two other men were jawing about regarding my purchase. I didn't ask her anything except to tell her that I was ready to buy. Get it right home Depot..LEADERSHIP and Customer Service Training is NEEDED!!

Never buy an appliance from these scam artist they sold a friend of mine a refridgerator and on delivery it was making a rattling noise and 3 months later they still havent fixed or replaced and i bought a washer a week and half ago and they refusing to deliver it and thr managers answer to why is its not his job or concern

I had bought a bunch of gardening supplies and about an hour and a half later I realized I forgot a bag of cactus soil on the bottom of my basket. I went back to the store to see if possibly anyone found it and returned it to customer service. No one it turned it in. I also went around the parking lot and store looking at baskets to see if I could find it. I did not. I explained my situation to the lady at customer service and asked if there was any way should could mark a bag down for me. And she did without hesitation. Being a former employee of home depot I already knew she had the power to do that for me, but the fact that she did made me so happy and thankful. Because although these employee at home depot or Walmart or any other big box retailer have the power to do certain things for customer satisfaction, a lot of times they do not for one reason or another. I feel like had I been at Walmart with this same situation it would have been a big drawn out ordeal over a 10$ bag of soil. Something that won't hurt the store but would cause me to feel it in my pockets a whole lot more. I just thought with most people leaving reviews when something goes wrong, it would be nice to leave a review when something goes right! Thank you Chalmette Home Depot!!!

Overall the store is great, clean and easy to navigate. The garden center staff is somewhat knowledgeable but could use some classes on local gardening. In addition, the person who does the ordering should be aware of what grows best in this region. They have great hours. Easy to access. The lines are always short and someone always on hand at self checkout.

The girl, Lakeysha at the paint counter, Mrs. Cindy, and 1 other lady, whose name has slipped my mind, are ALWAYS very nice, other workers in their usually dont know where something is or just wont answer you at all. I gave the 3 stars b/c I know that if the 3 people above are their, they will do their best to assist you and if possible, will walk you to what your seeking. Others, who are really supposed to be assisting on the sales floor, honey they are nitndoing all of that. Just this past Monday, one lady completely ignored our questions because she was on her cellphone & could not be interrupted so I just laughed it off. But, of course, Keysha and Mrs. Cindy popped right up to help us.

Nothing to get excited about, it's just a home Depot. Don't expect any quick help of you need assistance loading your vehicle with heavy items. I waited over half an hour for someone to help me lift a toilet and vanity into my vehicle. And they sent the oldest employee to help, not the younger stronger able-bodied men or women but the retiree.

The worst customer service I had to deal with.Bought a washing machine , paid with my debit card . I was giving a delivery date, the delivery department never called me to confirm the delivery time so I decided to call them only to find out that the order hadn’t been processed . A new delivery date was scheduled for 4 days later. That was a Saturday, I received a time slot for the delivery and had canceled all of my appointments for that day to wait for the washer . A call came that morning that MY washer was DAMAGED in shipment and to wait until Monday to get a call from Samsung and then they will let me know when my new delivery date was going to be.Went to the store and cancel the order , I was told that I was going to get my Money deposited back into my bank account in 3 days .Waited and waited a week and still hadn’t received my money. Called customer service, they gave me the run around and put me on hold for more than an hour. At this time don’t know when they will decide they can give me my money.Is so frustrating to deal with people that doesn’t respect the the time and money of their customers.LAST TIME I’M DEALING WITH HOME DEPOT .I’m even canceling my Home Depot credit card.By the way the same day I canceled the order with Home Depot I went to BEST BUY bought the same washing machine at exactly the same amount, was delivered 4 days later without any problems.

I'm always here getting electrical parts and other items it's a good store they stay mostly stocked on every day items definitely recommend it and I also recently found out that they have items for your vehicle like the rainx windshield wiper blades for half the price of autozone and Walmart check them out when you get a chance you won't be disappointed.

Considering where I currently reside in New Orleans, this location is where I always go when I don’t feel like heading uptown to get what I need. So far, I’ve managed to find everything that I need out of this location. I tend to pop in here every week or two just to browse around and see what sort of projects I can get myself into.

Sad what the big box stores are coming to. Wanted to buy a gas dryer and bring it home. No can do is the word now. Pay for it and wait 7 to 10 days and it will be delivered to your home. Well after calling in the morning to see what my delivery window was going to be. Noon to 4 pm, at 4:30 I called to ask if it was still coming. Don't know why they told you that, it didn't even make it to the warehouse yet. We can deliver it a week from now. Tried to get it delivered to the store, so I could pick it up on my terms. No they don't do that. I cancelled the order and called around. Was able to pick it up from A1 the next day. $40 cheaper. So sad.
