This store on Paris Rd in Chalmette is in serious need of help! The AC is broken so the store is closed between noon-5pm due to the immense heat inside of the store. Many of the aisles are littered with boxes of stock to be shelved and empty boxes from items that have been stocked. I feel so sorry for the employees who have to work under these horrible conditions! This is the second time I've been to this store in the last week and still no AC! Upper management should be ashamed of themselves for not rectifying the situation immediately!

So I went to this location to get laundry detergent and a few other household items…when I walked in only two workers was in there not one customer just them…I proceeded to the makeup aisle where I was checking all the nails and polished out … the workers kept walking pass me and looking …. So I grabbed a few then continued by the laundry detergent…I was on my app checking out the coupons and sales and looking to see if any that we use is on sale..mind u I usually take a while on this aisle cuz we picky we like to match allll our scents and stuff… wellllll as I’m looking I hear the two workers say “is that lady in here still” the other lady replied “I didn’t see her leave yet” soooo one of them came walking slowly pass the aisle and stopped and asked me “ hey honey u finding everything ok?” I told her I’m fine just checking out sales n coupons on my app to see what I can find…the shelves was pretty bare hard to find anything…she didn’t respond and went in the office…. My gut told me she was checking to see if I’m stealing or making me feel like I’m stealing or something…so I’m sorry I’m not even gonna spend a dollar in this place!!!! I been to every family dollar in stbernard and not one of them the workers walk around asking u if u ok or need help!!! I heard the whispering and all…I left my buggy full of stuff ($150 worth) in the aisle and left!!!! Sorry boo I’ll go spend my hard earned money elsewhere since y’all wanna act like I’m doing wrong!!! Never ever will I go to this place again!!!!!!!

Ever since they got rid of the black haired manager I don't mind going there. I still don't understand why you can never get cash back and the one time I did the cashier gave me a bad attitude but she still had to give me my cash back off my debit card. Can I only had $100 bill and the lady told me she couldn't accept it then when I said we'll just give me the number for corporate since you always have a problem when I come in then she said 15 minutes and she can take my hundred dollar bill. But then she has been gone it has gotten much better.

Went in there on 3 different occasions and only 2 people (cashiers Hades and ray) were willing to even talk to me and when asking about product locations to people on the Floor One lady that was apparently called Ce Ce as I could not see her name tag was rude and just pointed and the second time I was in I entered after a gal Bree who was smoking pot on the side of the store. my third was during the day, and heard all the people in the front talking about how they "aint gonna call her that I dont care if she dont like it she can quit or we gonna get her fired" what kind of place are yall running when you have people bulling a fellow co worker over a name? and in front of customers no less. this is the Barataria larose Hwy location

This place needs to SHUT DOWN!Air never worksEmployees are always outside smoking instead of in the store!Store is always packed with boxes!It’s horrible!

If I could rate this store as a 0 I would. I'm not much of a complainer. But everytime I come in this Family Dollar I always have stuff falling on me from rotainers and I can barley get through the isles. This is very dangerous for customers and it is ridiculous. And the store smells awful.

This store Really inconvenienced me. I arrived 15 minutes before closing time. The door was locked and when I knocked they turned off the lights on me. I was in desperate need of some pull ups for my child to go to bed. Ther was 15 minutes left before closing. That' was really really messed up.

This Family Dollar on Paris Road has been completely redone.It is fully stocked, appears more spacious because of efficient use of space.Personnel are courteous and friendly. I will be shopping this Family Dollar location from now on.

I went into this family dollars location (on Paris rd) on Friday Feb 15th 2019. I've never experienced such a horrible experience the way I did here. (This is the 2nd time from her btw) The lady behind the counter was just plan RUDE! On her phone, talking loud, I could hear everything said. ( from the time we walked in until we left) SERIOUSLY! Not to mention, we greeted her when we entered and nothing back (smh) and once I checked out she told me my total and seen me getting my cash out and repeated it again... Um I heard you ma'am geez! Then of course, we thanked her and as expected NOTHING! First time, was a phone call to that store. This time, was a review and phone call to corporate! This is not the way to treat customers!

I go into this store often and for almost this entire summer the Air Conditioning has been out, the heat is unbearable you can see the misery on the workers faces there are box fans at the entrance door and one on the cashier that’s blowing more heat I know this is known by the top people and I find I’d sad that you would have your employees working in that kind of heat it is hotter in the store than outside

Family dollar store #11522 2 buggies I had to use a little carry basket for my items. Very hard to carry a basket with these items and then look on the receipt charge me for 2 packs of cookies I didn't buy. U owe me money I want it back
