This store has been around for decades. It used to be Piggly Wiggly. The prices are okay, the quality of meat is great. Nice people.

This store used to be Piggly Wiggly and was always a favorite. It's still a great place to shop, especially for fresh meat. Even in the current economy, it still offers good sales.

The prices were reasonable for a privately owned small business. The shelves were stocked nicely and the employees spoke when spoken to. I'm not a knit-picky person, but I can say we were neither greeted or thanked for shopping there. Other than that Lyons market was a good grocery shopping outlet that I would visit again if I lived nearer, but I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here.

It's always a pleasure to shop at Lyons market. The registers are all open. The sales are good also, the meat selection and quality are superb. The store is always clean and tidy.

Staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there are often many sales advertised in the newspaper, but when you get to the store, there isn't anything left. Pretty aggravating. They're otherwise exceptional.

This place has great specials. But if items aren't on special then their prices are a little too steep for me. Today I got some great deals on brisket, Boston butt steaks , chicken wings and chicken thighs.

Almost all the food I was going to buy was expired. I turned the hummus with the expiration date facing out so MAYBE they will see it. It expired in May and it's August now. Serious would harm someone if they consumed it. Check expiration dates in this store. I won't be returning

Moved from San Diego, Ca. back in 1974 to Alexandria, La., I was just happy to find a good grocery store near by that had everything we needed. Quality of groceries was up to par like I was used to back home where we have everything. I enjoyed their friendly staff and customers and always went back to buy our goods.

It's the only place for miles around so they don't bother keeping expired goods off the shelf or hiring English-speaking staff because you'll shop there or have to drive an hour. The beer selection is decent though.

This is a store in my home town it as great as any other store that you would go to in a small town. You've got to pay them a proper visit, sale are expensive, and gotta see for yourself 👍

It is very clean..love the food meat is pretty the men in the meat dept very friendly and helpful but the cashiers front staff wont speak or greet you..will just scan your food without any acknowledgement

Prices are to high. Workers are not that nice and judgemental and snootie. Every time I have gone to get tomatoes, they are soft because they keep putting them in the refrigerated display instead of properly displaying them. They also put marked down bagged lettuce and other refrigerated perishables in a buggie on the sales floor where they sit for hours at room temperature growing bacteria. They also don't properly rotate their products. Bottom line.. I would rather make the 20 minute drive to Walmart, than shop at the pig/ now called Lyons.

When I need groceries, but don't wanna travel 30 miles out of town, I come here to shop. The employees are very nice, and the store is always clean. I always manage to find what I'm looking for.

The store has very small selection in brands of product, and the prices were exorbitant. I was passing through Bunkie and I just wanted to pick up a case of water. There were maybe two or three different brands including their own and the prices were much higher then I usually pay. I was also wanted a pack of Standback, So asked the cashier where their pharmaceutical aisle was, and she pointed to a small shelf behind me where there were a couple brands of pain medication along with breath mints. I walked out without purchasing anything . It's sad, and it seems It's the only store Bunkie has.

When I first moved from Texas, the closest store with Organic and/or Non-GMO foods was 45 minutes a way! A year after I arrived, the wonderful manager started to carry organic produce, organic canned goods and a few nut milks. Shopping at our neighborhood store has now become an exciting experienceg. It gives me great comfort to know that I'm feeding my husband, our family (human & 4 legged) and our friends healthy choices. :-) I look so forward to the near future of grocery store shelves and refrigerators lined with new organic frozen dinners, organic juices, organic snacks, and whatever other healthy goodies....

The worst store in the world.The prices are ridiculous.This is something that i feel needs to be brought up on the news and any others sources that can shine light on this situation.The prices are high and the customer service is poor and impolite.Someone should look into situations such as this.No competition around and they are hurting the pockets of working people,especially the minority
