For the most part they will have everything you need. One of the best.Meat markets in town. Prices could be a little lower... compared to other places. But you have to keep in mind that this is a family owned business. I have known them since I was a child. Very good people! And when I go shopping. I normally go here. I have known mister Carl and miss Carol most of my life. All the way back when they bought the first main street grocery. And Shelly will help you with anything! If she don't have it. Ask her she might just order it. She's a very good woman.

There prices are expensive on some stuff and but their meats are great quality and price plus most cashier's are rude we go every month for their chicken boxes & other meats they have one cashier that is extremely hard working,sweet,and is the most respectful I don't know her name but on 08/09/2022 she was working lane one and her cashier # was 19 4 stars for her and their meat stuff

Well. I hadn't been home in 20+ years to Bogalusa Louisiana.. Surprised to see that the grocery store was no longer on Main Street. 👀 Time does bring about change in a good way. Items, meats, produce availability still has the old school "town" feel with pleasant memories that come back to mind of the place called 'Home" where the ❤️ is

It smells....I'm not sure what it smells like musty ,moldy like a caller...maybeIt's a bit high...I feel like they dig in a lil too deep...workers don't seem very happy there ever.....just my opinion

Good prices on whole rib eyes. Some of the beef looks elderly, but some people prefer it. Store was clean, butcher was friendly and competent, checkout was quick.

No wipes for the buggies or for your hands. Not a safe place to shop. A good suggestion would be to have someone wipe down the buggies. Tjmaxx does this and you always have to wait in line for a register. They are very busy, but people feel safer there.Also, they don't take Humana Gold Food Cards. Why? It is a real inconvenience for older people.

It's something about the smell of the store as soon as you walk in the door, not sure what the exact smell is but it makes the food have that smell on it. You also have to check the expiration dates on just about everything, I picked up a can of Campbell's soup and the expiration date was 2 days away. The one thing that you have to really check the dates on is the meat products that they have on their pick 5 for X amount of dollars, I think it's 5 for $20, I'm not 100% certain because I tend to avoid that section, I don't want to get tainted meat and then get really sick from it. I definitely don't want that to happen to my children, I would feel really bad that because I was trying to save a little bit of money and they end up with E. Coli or Salmonella. Also the cashiers are rude, I went to ask one where a product was but she kept having a conversation with someone who had already stepped out of the door and just ignored me. Then when I went to check out, she put one item to a bag and even though I had roughly 25 items and some of the things could have went in the same bag, I ended up with 25 bags plus she was having a conversation with someone else and the only thing she said to me was the total amount of my purchase. I know that a lot of people go in there basically for the pick 5 deals but I wouldn't have even went in there except for the fact that I had a doctor's appointment not far from there and I needed to get some things for a family reunion and also for Thanksgiving. I don't see myself going back in there.

Awesome store. My only complaint is their baskets are to big for the aisles . make it hard to manuver. Cashier was so good at bagging it. Produce is soooo awesome 👍 👍 meat was also awesome 👍 👍

In a small town where neighborhood markets cannot compete with Walmart on price or selection, one of their only advantages is offering great customer service. Unfortunately, Main Street Grocery must not have gotten that memo. I admit, I shop the weekly grocery sales all around town. Main Street is the only store in town that occasionally puts CDM coffee on sale. Last week was that time. On Sunday, I went to stock up on CDM coffee. I was a little aggravated not to find even one pack of CDM coffee on the shelf! But, since it was Sunday, I thought the shelves would be restocked on Monday, so I went back on Tuesday, the last day of the sale. Still no CDM! To say the least, I was perturbed. Well, I thought to myself, I'll just go to the customer service desk and get a rain check. Imagine my surprise when I was told that Main Street Grocery DOES NOT ISSUE RAIN CHECKS! I guess the customer service means nothing at Main Street Grocery.Another problem that I have with this store is that none of the aisles are marked! You have to walk up and down every aisle over and over again to find what you're looking for! Besides that, the store always looks dirty to me - not an appealing place to buy food.Thank goodness Bogalusa still has one great neighborhood grocery: Travis' Supermarket.

Just average on quality of meat, cleanliness of store and selection of goods and produce. Frequently run out of advertised specials and offer NO rainchecks.😕 NO COUPONS!
