Jeanfreau's has all the basic equipment that you need and many speciialty items that would be hard to find elsewhere. Of course it is much easier to get help and answers here than at the popular large hardware stores.

I went in today to find a blade for a saw. A gentleman working there saw me and immediately asked what I was looking for and showed me exactly where the product was. I was amazed by how many products they had stocked and readily available. The lady at the check out register was so kind too. I never write reviews, but this place is truly a gem and I look forward to shopping here in the future!

I drive from the city to come here for my hardware needs because they have a better selection, better prices, it’s more organized, and their employees are actually helpful. I’m able to just call them over the phone when I want to order something. I won’t waste time with the Lowes or HD in the city again.

This is one of those places that from the time you walk in until you leave it feels like "home". Great service, clean, great staff, everything you would want from a hardware store. Unfortunately in the world today people tend towards the big boxes. This is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you would even consider them for your basic needs.Absolutely recommend.

Will never go back to this place their prices must be based on gold prices ! Went there for a small piece of sheet metal they tried to charge me $30 yet on their web site they had it for $17 and they wouldn't even honor the price on the website!!!!!!!!!! To he'll with jeanfreau's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter and son-in-law are active duty Navy and they just got stationed in Belle Chasse. I came from Indiana to help them get their house in shape. I needed miscellaneous hardware items for repairs and found the staff amazingly helpful and courteous, and they seem to have most hard to find items not readily available from the big-box stores. THIS STORE AND STAFF IS AMAZING!

If you have children. Do not work here. They’re disgusting and disrespectful. If your kids get sick they will make sure to write you up and fire you. They do NOT follow state laws and regulations at all! Zach and Bonnie are the worse managers and owners I have ever met in my entire life. The disrespect from management to employees is honestly embarrassing. Need a complete overhaul from top to bottom. They are absolutely snakes in the grass. Will let a manager stay at his house for hours while riding the clock but will fire an employee if their child is sick.

Definitely A+ five-star service. I drove Estelle to Belle Chasse to get my car keys cut. They were able to cut my laser or sidewinder Toyota & GM keys with no problem. The price was 10% of the dealership. The manager and his employees were very helpful. Thanks for a great experience. They even program my push button fobs at an excellent price. I will give them my business again.

I've been going to this hardware store off and on over the past few years. Now don't get my three stars wrong this Ace hardware is like Bass Pro Shop & an Ace Hardware blended till they are one. It's an awesome store that's full of nice outdoor cookware, boating supplies/parts and they sell propane( just in case you wanna boil a little something) but I felt beyond uncomfortable. I don't know if they've had a problem with thieft as of late or something but my partner and I had the unfortunate experience of listening to them discuss,on their radios, our where abouts throughout the store, about keeping an eye on us, and someone calling for them multiple times to see if we needed any help. I understand that with the way the economy has been recently the need for extra anti theft measures but to be so blatant was a little disrespectful. All that said I do look forward to my next visit. I just hope the atmosphere is a little more relaxed or if there is a major theft problem that the thief's are caught.

I don't care what time I go into the store. There is always someone to help me. I've brought glass shelves so that they can help me find appropriate screws. I mean, they had everything I needed to get my home in working order.They're a little pricey but I think everything has gone up so I can't really complain about that.Make sure you sign up for the card so you can get points. If you're a single lady and need the advice of some men folk who know what they're talking about.. this is the only place to go.It's a hardware store but they optimize southern hospitality! The staff is hands down their greatest asset. 🙌

Prices are a little higher then your home depot but they have a nice inventory of a lot of things you might need for special projects and quick home repairs. I love going here just to browse around. All of the employees are super nice.

We were in a bind on our way back from a fishing trip with a broken trailer support. Store was closing at 1pm because it was Sunday and we were frantically trying to get the right bolts and nuts to put it back together. KENT who works at this store was AWESOME! Not only was he knowledgeable about what grade screws we needed but he stayed a few minutes late when other employees were closing the doors on us and got us what we needed.The trailer made it all the way back to Atlanta with no problems, wouldn’t have made it back if it were not for Kent.

The workers do not stop asking you if you need help.. 3 times in a 5 minute visit. There is such thing as too much.They were so obnoxious and the prices were so high that we left.I would rather drive 5 more miles to Lowes or Home Depot. They have more to choose from, better prices, and plenty of help IF YOU NEED IT.

Just had two ladies on Jeanfreau's staff and manager exceed my expectations in customer service. Very friendly and accommodating! They always have what i need and the knowledge to help me out. I prefer coming here over Home Depot or Lowes. The prices are a little higher but you can't beat the variety and service they have here.
