This is a review for the sushi at Fresh Market in Baton Rouge. In the past, it was superb, then the sushi counter had its ups and downs with more than a few potholes along the way (!) But I am glad to say that it's now very good once again, albeit at higher prices (but then everything is going up up up, right?). I had the kind young woman behind the counter make a Dynamite Roll for me without all of the sauce today, and she did it promptly and kindly, and it was delicious. Will be coming back for more. PS I lived for many years in Japan so am particular about sushi. Most supermarket sushi offerings are extremely poor quality, but Fresh Market in Baton Rouge and Lafayette always had second to none quality, presentation and price.

The coworkers are always so friendly and helpful. They have the best vibe !!! Shoutout to lily in particular. She works in the deli section and her attitude is unmatched . She takes her time to make sure ur meal is the best it can be ! She’s so neat, organized and makes each experience feel so special. When she’s working , I know my paninis are going to be fireee 🔥

Enjoy this location for not only the quality products/produce but for the large variety of coffee beans, cheese and wines. The service is impeccable and the cleanliness of the store is unmatched. The floral department keeps fresh flowers available all the time and the deli department provides delicious foods that can be taste tested. Fantastic store!!

I am late on this review. A month ago I stopped here on my return from work for a pizza. The store pizza is enriched with cheese so I add toppings to my sausage pie. It's amazing this one time there were lines at the registers. I followed a woman and teenager to the shortest line. We began to talk and be jovial with eachother. We had such a nice rapport that the Mother paid it forward for ME! It was such a cool feeling for me even though I can afford the pizza 🍕 The only mistake I made was saying I forgot the WINE! We talked further in the parking lot.It is a great feeling that connections are made between the Races in Baton Rouge. I am white and a Beautiful non-caucasian mom and daughter were generous to me before my birthday the following week. 💜Thank You kind people 😊BATON ROUGE UNITE!

Good service. The quality of the produce is good. I just wish they had more organic options in vegetables and fruits.On the shelves you will find brands and products you don't find in other stores. Very kind staff.

I’d say they are a 2.5/5.I used to like shopping here. Now many of the employees are rude, the stock is regularly low or completely different, and the check out line(s) are too long. Add expensive prices and I have no reason to shop here anymore. Other than the occasional stop for convenience and last minute needs, I won’t be a regular customer anymore.

The store, products, and selections themselves are of course stellar as this chain is known for. My review is specifically for the customer service I received today! Our checkout gal Marquita was incredibly helpful. First she found a product I had given up on finding in about half a second, then she quickly signed me up for the rewards (less than 30 seconds) so that I got all the discounts offered, then once my total came up to $150 she informed me of a deal where I got a meal kit worth about $25 for free. She personally walked me to the case and I got a steak dinner kit that looks delightful. All of this with the air of someone who wasn’t pushing product but really, truly delighted in providing care and helping solve problems for the people she meets. I’m excited to go back!Oh, and the peaches I bought were probably the best I’ve eaten in the last decade, wow!

Wow, why hasn’t no one informed me about this store ?!! Babyyy, when tell you this store has top customer service probably the best in the Baton Rouge area, no joke. All the employees greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. Everything was organized and fresh. If I could rate this store out of ten it would definitely get a 💯 💯💯.

This is the first time and will be last time too. I bought three kinds of sushi, one of them is $9.49, but for that one they charged me twice. I found out when I got to the parking lot and I went back to ask for refund, but the cashier did not admit and she took the receipt back. So, for what I bought (one half gallon fat free milk, one half gallon chocolate milk, one eggplant, one $5.00 sushi, one $9.49 sushi, one spring roll); I paid $46.46.

Something really strange happened where I witnessed the store manager being really disrespectful toward one of the employees, this happened weeks ago and I had forgotten to right this. The reason this disturbed me is because I was visiting down south (Baton Rouge) but I didn’t expect to witness such prejudice in my face! As I started to speak with another shopper who was a regular, she began to tell me that this has happened on more than a few occasions. Being a business owner myself I value how my customers view my business, but this store manager appears to not care how he appears in front of the public! Well store manager John Viscardis we’re watching you! You great employees keep your head up I know that it is hard times and America is facing inflation and you must hold on to your jobs, just know that we’re looking out for you, but better yet Our Heavenly Father!

The water is usually on sale! They have good brands like Icelandic. Evian. There is even a water from Hawaii. Comes from volcano. Taste pretty good! They also have a great assortment of nuts and dried fruit. Of course it’s like Whole Foods. Everything is fresh and organic. I think they even make sushi. They accept Apple Pay which is good because I forgot my wallet when I went.

While it is a bit expensive, it's worth it if you want unique, rare, or high quality groceries. You can get premade beef wellington here! It's just sitting there in the fridge, waiting for you to grab it--you don't even have to ask someone behind a counter to get it for you! They have a good selection of fancy cheeses, drinks, snacks, etc. Their coffee section smells amazing, and the bulk snack section right beside it has some nice choices. The store has a pleasing atmosphere and employees are kind and helpful. It's great if you're looking for something special 😁

I absolutely love this store. Great quality food and customer service. I stop here when I am visiting family in Baton Rouge to stock up on certain items that seem to be nonexistent in rural Mississippi.They have a relatively nice selection of craft beers and wine. I was able to snag a few bottles of exotic herbs and spices I would otherwise order from Amazon.After signing up for email alerts, I noticed they run pretty decent weekly AND daily specials but I've never been in town to check it out for myself. I'll return with an update when I do --

I went to browse actually, no intention for shopping. As know, high end grocer with a deli and food section loaded with delicious items. They have a good collection of spices and nuts. Pasta and some condiments seemed reasonable in price. The store decoration and atmosphere is really nice. There is an outdoor patio attached with the store.

This is a very nice upper scale food store. I won't say grocery store as the pricing makes actual shopping for groceries unaffordable here. That said, there is a nice selection of specialty items that make this a worthy stop. The freshly squeezed juices are superb and something is usually out for a sample. My favorite thing about this store is the meat. It's fresh and many items are anti biotic free. On Tuesdays the ground chuck and chicken breasts are $2.99 lb. I think the ground chuck here is the best in town. The butchers in the bank do a nice job of custom cutting if you need something special. The "ready to go" own area can be a worthy stop for lunch also. Salad bar is available but a little pricey as well. On some weekend days the rotisserie chicken can be on special.

So last year, I posted a one star about their meat. Last Friday I stopped by and picked up some more items and 2 pounds of Shrimp. Everything was like it normally is, great! I love the store and I wasn't going to give up on it because of some bad meat last year.

I love this place! Even though they don't sell everything I usually need from the grocery store, whenever I need just a couple of things, I'll stop here. They have a pretty good selection of meat and seafood, and their deli is pretty good along with their prepared items. They're now selling packaged dinners complete with an entree, 2 sides, and everything needed to cook them. If it turns out well, I might stop by periodically to pick up something for dinner.

The store was very clean. The employees were very helpful and offered great suggestions for Valentine's Day items. The chicken is delicious and I love the Cannoli's. I will definitely be a frequent shopper.

I always enjoy a trip to the Fresh Market, so when I had a chance to visit this one I was excited- the only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review is that the women's restroom wasn't working, there was only one stall available that barely flushed, as the other had a clog.

I'm a fan of the store, overall. There are items that are stocked here that are rare in this area. I had a few grocery items to pick up and was pressed for time so I decided to grab a few deli items for dinner. I got 2 of the mini beef meatloaf entrees. They were pretty terrible. The texture didn't even taste like meat. They were heated according to the instructions (oven @350 for 15-20 minutes.) I couldn't immediately figure out what I did wrong for it to taste and feel so poorly. Then it hit me: I got prepared food from your deli. From now on, I'll stick to the groceries.

Over all the customer care is pretty terrible here! It’s pretty tough too cause I live in Perkins Rowe and this is the closest option for quick grocery’s. The lady checking me out today didn’t even bother looking up from her cellphone and was so disinterested and rude. Then she didn’t ask me if I needed the coffee I was buying g ground so when I mentioned it she simply passed on the bag to someone else so I went to tell the girl grinding the coffee how I needed it ground and she was rude also. After she had finished grinding the coffee she handed me the coffee opened, didn’t bother closing the bag at all and when I said thank you she simply took a deep breath and walked off. I’m so confused why this store seems to hire the worst people with zero interest in their jobs? Over all I’m very disappointed with this location but as I sad previously it’s right next door and to convenient to completely avoid, especially during this quarantine. If you go to this location I recommend keeping your head down getting in and getting out with no positive interactions. The manager however is very friendly and always makes a point to say hello when I see him so it’s obvious that he is trying to lift the moral of his store, I feel bad for him that he keeps hiring such doozies

The meat department is always good. Have problems all the time getting any kind of service in the deli/prepared food department. More often than not I have to give up from purchasing something because there is no one there or they are rude and ignore you or the wait is way too long. In sum the products here are good. The service barely mediocre.

Always great quality. The price is a bit higher than a Ralph’s but again good quality. The sandwiches are great here, and my favorite key lime pie is here. Also so fresh and so clean, clean.
