We go here a lot as they do have Hispanic items we can't get in other regular supermarkets. The experience here is hit or miss. Sometimes it is very clean and organized and other times it's a disaster. Sometimes the fruit and vegetables are excellent and at a great price. Other times the quantity is horrible or grossly overpriced. Most of the time the employees are friendly and nice, other times they act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. I wish that it was more consistently good, but I still go as there are items I need.

First experience at Latin American grocery store was very nice. There was a bit of a language barrier for me but everyone was very friendly and professional with my lack of understanding. Lots of brands and items I've never tried but will be now. Definitely worth exploring.

Huge selection of products, especially the Mi Cocina (the takeout area), bakery, and meat counter. The store is clean, and the employees are super nice.

Excellent source of south American fare. Fajita beef and chicken from the meat counter are perfect to just throw on the grill.

I actually quite enjoy shopping here when I'm in the area because they carry very fresh and delicious pre made meals that completely outshine most of the Latino restaurants in Baton Rouge. If I had one complaint it would be that they should be more friendly and welcoming to guests. The cashiers stay behind the register and no one walks the floors to assist customers and answer questions. I love the colors and decor too.

I can find things that are not in other stores. There are some times when you go in and it smells sooo good that your mouth starts watering, because they sell prepared food too. Great prices, great quality, friendly staff and delicious food. It's a must go.Still is a place with awesome quality products and great staff!

Best Mexican to go deli in Baton Rouge. You get plenty of food on your order. I had the Carne Asada plate with rice, beans and yuca. I will definitely be back.

This place will lead the revival of the Gardere area. Don't be fooled by the area, it is really clean and well stocked inside. Lots of delicious meats and hot prepared foods in their kitchen. The bone in grilled chicken is amazing.

It's great to have an Ideal Market closer to my home. I love mostly everything about this place but one thing that can be improved is the ordering experience at the hot foods line. The food is great but it's hard to communicate with the staff without speaking Spanish. I was trying to tell the lady I wanted 2 combos but she ended up packing everything a la carte and my bill came out to almost $50. By the time I was at the register, I just wanted to be done with everything. I haven't been back to order there since.

Excellent local groceey! We love this store! We bought oxtails & made soup & they were perfect. So thankful that Ideal has a grocery in our neighborhood. Great selection of authentic ingredients for home-cooked meals. Highly recommend!

My first time here and I was excited to see a latin market, I do not have anything in my area so this was great. Just enjoyed walking through it and bought a couple of items I would not find anywhere near where I live.

Visited for the first time today. Excellent selection of all kinds of meat and produce, and tons of unique things you won't find anywhere else. And the prices are at least as what you'll find at Albertsons. This might be my new preferred store.

Ideal Market #11 has much better desserts than the location on Sherwood Forest and definitely better than most of the other Latino markets in the Baton Rouge area. The selection of lunch plates is great and the food is absolutely delicious. My kids like to get the different Latino snacks and drinks.

Really nice new market! Exciting to have another great option on Burbank! I bought some produce (it all looked great), a Mexican coke, and a slice of tres leches king cake! I definitely will be coming back - the cake was enough for two so I ate half and saved the rest for another day!

Awesome store to get Hispanic specialties that you can't find at other stores. Unfortunately this time when I went the line was so long for the deli it was almost from the back of the store all the way out the front door so I cannot get the tacos that I wanted. I shall return and try again though

Very clean. Staff speaks English well and is extremely friendly! Bought fajita meat from butcher shop and horchata popsicles from freezer case by doors. Both were excellent!

The food buffet good, but the kitchen staff is terrible. Very slow, un-friendly, cursing all the time and very slow.The whole stuff is always so rude. I’ve only met one young cashier that’s always friendly and smiling.

Eat before you come because the smell alone will make you crave all of your latinx favorites. A great selection of produce, cakes/pastries and seasonings. They have great sales and have even had boiled crawfish for sale.

Well everything looks nice and clean but my husband had bought bread this week from here.And they were hard as a rock,very disappointed..Y’all speak fresh but is y’all bread made fresh daily?
