Highland Hardware Store is a sweet little jewel of a store that is often overlooked. If carries a lot more that what people think. It's full of surprises. You can find anything to fix past and present things. The staff there are very helpful. It's a small store, but it packs a punch. If you can't find something at the big hardware stores, try Highland Hardware Store. I'll bet they have what you need.

Highland Hardware really shocked me. I lived within 2-miles of this business for 20-years. Probably had not been there 10 times, during that time.I went twice today ... why? Because they are very HELPFUL!!! This associate spent at least 20 minutes with me coming up with a toilet plumbing connectivity solution ... and 15 minutes the second time ... after I brought additional relevant information. I must state ... I am not a plumber. This ACE Hardware location gave me a solution that worked! The store front is very misleading ... on Highland Road near Kenilworth. My thoughts are how much can really be in there? Answer ... plenty!!!The property appears to go back deep, off Highland Road to halfway to Burbank. You have to to go the construction materials area (building) to see this.General Inventory wise, they have some of everything!I appreciate the personal and knowledgeable service. Will DEFINITELY be frequenting more!

For when you just need a handful of fasteners or an order of crickets, this is the place. Actually, there's a lot to like about this place, and I should probably shop here more often. They have a wide range of services that most "big box" stores won't have like sharpening your lawnmower blades and fixing window screens. The selection is impressive considering the stores size, but it's not as comprehensive for some items. Still, from paint to plumbing, gardens to galvanized nails, you'll be able to find it. Another solid perk of this store is the knowledgeable staff on hand that are not shy about asking if you need some help. If you don't mind paying a bit extra to support local business and get good service, give this a try. The younger guys are are usually on point, but sometimes they're a little distracted by shop banter or a little less than enthusiastic. I don't want to knock them though, they're way more reliable and consistent than the major retail hardware stores.

Cute little hardware store close to home. It always has what I need. I go here primarily for a refill on my propane tank. They are always helpful and kind.

Great little store! I found 3 out of 4 items I needed. Staff was helpful. Parking isn't too bad. Only issue was their blades section was disorganized with everything lumped in a pile on the floor of the case. Could not find the correct multitool blades. They have a good selection of Sawzall blades though!

I have been a neighbor to Highland Hardware since 1999. Back in the day, you could go into the store and find older gentlemen working there who knew exactly what you needed and were willing to help - most were retirees who had worked in the trades. Now, a younger group has been hired and don't seem to want to be bothered much as it may interfere with their playing on the phone or actually require them to leave their stool to help. The customer service has been declining over the past year and really has hit rock bottom during the pandemic - they do not want to help out anyone who is high risk. If you cannot get into the store, they don't care if they have your business or not. The store itself is wonderful and fully stocked - an important part of our neighborhood however, Mr. Grant needs to re-evaluate who he has representing him at the front.

Great place. Absolutely love it. Still feels like an old school hardware store from way back in the day. Conveniently located on highland just off of several neighborhoods. Highly recommend locally owned place where you can get real assistance not like the big box stores.

Only place I ever go to get keys made. They have very good pleated air condition filters at a very low price. Also they stock cleaning supplies that you really can't find any where else. Very large plumbing parts section. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The place was overcrowded due to lack of space. Products were not really organized. The bathroom was out back but associate seemed experienced. I give a three due to clutter and lack of associate presence.

Went here about a month ago, just to buy a simple pipe adapter. First time there and the group of kids in the front counter had no interest in helping me. I'm used to going to these hardware stores over home depot just for their knowledge and willingness to help. They were to busy cursing and telling obscene stories that young kids couldn't hear. May have just been a bad experience from reading other reviews. However, I won't go back to them.

Wanted to support a local business, but after giving them a few tries, I'll stick to Lowe's from now on. Rude employees always seem to be way more concerned with their own conversations to offer help, acknowledge customers, or even ring you up

I recently hung my Christmas lights up and discovered I only had a female end of the lights available to run an extension cord to. I went all over town looking for a male to male extension cord and nobody had one or knew what I was talking about. I went to Highland Hardware on a whim and got some of the best customer service I've ever received. The employee personally wired me the extension cord and put an adapter on it for me. Will always go back here because of how awesome I was treated.

Wouldn’t stay open 30 extra seconds to sell me a lightbulb. Knew what size I required, no questions, no help needed. Just needed to grab it off the shelf and checkout. They locked the outside gate. Until this I had only positive experiences. This guys name was Thomas. Sounded very young on the phone...

Awesome little ACE Hardware. Jam packed with just about everything the handyman needs. Convenient for when in that area. It's a good ride to get to the big box stores from around there. So 5 stars.

Stores like these are getting lost to the beat of multinational conglomerate stores every second of every day and it's truly a shame.Everyone in the building, working or otherwise are entirely enthralled to help and be helped with whatever questions pop up.You just don't see that sense of "community" in those other places these days. Not to mention they actually carry *quality* options for any quandary as well as a smaller selection of the abhorrent cheapest, made to be broken equivalent in case the shopper is really bent on needing to get an option which just won't last (and then show you that price-wise, there's absolutely no reason to ever actually buy those in lieu of qualify products...).It's also my defacto stop for every awkward and/or obscure tool/item because those other guys only ever carry the least common denominator of tools anyway. We really need to embrace these places and encourage the premises of yesteryear before we simply lose them to faceless makeshift generic junk stores.

I dropped off a blower to get serviced in February of 2018. It was communicated that two weeks were needed for the work. I called to follow up after three weeks went by without hearing from the small engine group. I was told that a ticket for my equipment didn't exist and they would call me back. After not hearing back for another two weeks I called and got the same response. After this phone call I went and got the blower. No work had been done on it in roughly two months. I was not charged.

Fantastic local hardware store with open bin parts for when you need to find that certain bolt. Also has a full paint, garden and lumber yard. Beats the chains on service and knowledge every time!!

This place is becoming my go to hardware store. They always ask if you need help and usually have the hard to find items. A bit more than big box stores but that is to be expected.

Can usually find what I'm looking for doing plumbing around the area and not wanting to go further away from the job site for a home Depot or even coburns.

The young guys were not helpful. There were three of them.behind the counter watching a computer screen and basically ignoring myself and another customer and his daughter. Rude and poor customer service.

Asked employee if they had an adapter for galvanized pipe, he looked for maybe 3 seconds then just walked off and started in a conversation at the register about cars. Was a painful experience from start to finish.

Zero mask wearing by staff or customers...it’s a global pandemic, just do your part. Sign on the door said “no mask no service”, clearly zero enforcement. This is too important to be lazy about. Will never shop here again.
