I went to the CVS pharmacy on Wax Rd this weekend to pick up a prescription I was out for a week. The cost of the prescription was really expensive and my deductible was even higher than the prescription. Theresa the pharmacist over heard my conversation with the clerk about the cost and I have been out of my medication for almost a week. She came to the drive through window and told me she would try to see if she could help me with the cost with a coupon if I qualify. She took my phone number and promise to give me a call when the system came back up. That next day Theresa called me with the best news ever. My prescription was ready and was only going to have to pay $10. This is one of the best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Theresa and the staff at this location shows their customers they care and want to help them with their medication needs.

The pharmacy staff are HEROES!!! They work very hard and give great care. Yes, the lines may be long waiting to pick up rx, etc however these ladies mostly now working in the pharmacy are awesome and are treated with bad customer attitudes. Please go elsewhere if you are that dissatisfied. Just be patient and kind please and thank you.

This CVS is a joke. They tell you a day that you can pick it up, then we you show up, they've already put it back on the shelf! Or even better, the drive through AND counter being closed every other time you arrive then they proceed to give you attitude if you have a late pick up. Don't text a day, or "last day" for pick up, and then not honor the day.Also, they have a real bad understanding of time. "It'll be ready for this time" but again, when you show up, the prescription hasn't been filled or it was put back on the shelf.We will definitely be switching to the WinnDixie pharmacy.

I bet I could get cocaine easier than getting my prescriptions from this location. Arrived at 8 am (when the pharmacy opens) and waited till 9:25 before I was able to get the script transferred to another location. Pharmacist never showed up. Maybe this is an M Night Shamalan movie and I was actually dead the whole time.

Miranda Mitchel is incompentent and should be fired. I just left the pharmacy and as a "pharmacist" she should know how medication should be administered! She insisted that I drive home and return with the box, which I did without a word...only for me to return and she never looked at the box and tell me that while I was gone, she "googled" the medication and found the information on the website. The exact information that I had told her!

The lady who answered the phone had not a single ounce of customer service skills. No patience nor did she help with my issue at all. I worked in the pharmacy industry for over 5 years and I know the stress that comes with the job. I’m not sure who trained this lady, but she needs to be reported immediately to HR. If I had her name I would do it myself but she failed to state her name and was very very rude.

Absolute worse pharmacy service...one lane open in the drive thru (second lane always closes) and takes forever with only one car ahead of me. Sat 8 mins before just driving away. Are they allowing the patron to just sit and wait while refilling a prescription which holds up the line.?! And this is all the time. I understand hold ups on occasion but went inside the store a couple of weeks back since there was 3 cars in the drivethru and I was the one and only customer at the register. A total of four workers were in the pharmacy area- One working the window 2 working on computers and the fourth was just restocking filled prescriptions. Totally ignored me for at least 5 mins. Again, this is the norm from my numerous experiences at this location. Apparently CVS does not need my business so going elsewhere.

The pharmacy is terrible everytime I go. I understand short staffed but after reading other reviews this has been an issues for 4 years? Drive thru is not open half the time. They don't have my medicine half the time which is normally very generic medicine.

Only one self checkout and all the registers up front are closed. Only one employee upfront and like 8 in the pharmacy. How do you have that many people working in the pharmacy yet still take an hour to fill a prescription. None of the staff are friendly. I don’t know how you could go so wrong with a CVS.

Worst pharmacy ever! If you’re trying to get your medicine filled, forget it. Had the medicine called in twice and they still did not have a record of my script. And when they finally received the medicine they said it would be filled in an hour (at closing). I would give them 0 stars if I could

I have been to many of CVS from the Northshore and the South Shore and this CVS location is by far the best CVS. From the second you walk in the clean store you are greeted and asked if you need help with anything ( especially if you are looking for a specific thing they are also very knowledgeable about the products) the manager has a Team Player attitude and the entire staff works together giving the customer the attention they need. I will never go to another CVS for numerous reasons? My son needed a specific medication (a blood thinner to prevent another stroke)and the pharmacy did not carry the mg. needed but the manager Vanessa and the Pharmacist Kim and Amanda an assistant jumped in and helped them when they called everywhere in the Baton Rouge area ( including the New Orleans metro area)even other Pharmacies to get it and did not stop until it was found. They really went above and beyond to get the medicine and was so reassuring to know that I was going to get the medicine that is just one incident because they always go " the extra mile" with all of my families medications. I HIGHLY recommend this CVS. I refuse to go to any other pharmacy because of they really do care about their customers. Yes they are a chain store and sometimes prices are a little higher (use the Care pass it really pays off)but you get everything you want or need also with professional knowledgeable friendly caring staff who works hard and fast to make everything move smoothly without long lines. I would rate this location a 10+ if I could I love the " Team Player attitude" THIS CVS ON WAX RD IN CENTRAL IS THE BEST!!!!

On Aug 10, 2021, the pharmacist on staff at Wax Rd CVS called the person in front of me for covid injection by hollering at him to come here and then sat beside him to administer the shot & at the same time hollering in this customer's face saying it was his fault that he was behind that day because he chose not to get the covid shot before now. He continued his rant on this man by just screaming in this poor man's face but the gentleman did not react. When I chimed in at his anger toward this customer because I was next, he looked at me and said "Well it's the truth." The only truth was how out of line he was and the rest of the doses including mine were administered by the Store Mgr Vanessa who stated that what he did was wrong and that she had called her boss for it. When the pharmacist was relived of administering doses he went to the register to help another person and said, "We're days behind because of "them." No one wanted another dose from him because we were unsure of what angry solution he may be placing in our syringe for injection. The anger I mention was an unbelievable display of any professional especially considering persons who were receiving this dose of medicine in their body with possible side affects but it is ALL ON VIDEO. This pharmacist should be removed from his duty there. I have also filed a complaint with LA Board of Pharmacist because this needs another look. This could happen to anyone on any day by him.

The "manager" Alana refused to honor sale prices. She was far too busy talking about what she was having for lunch with other employees to help us with an issue that she eventually refused to take care of. Find another CVS or better yet, stick to Walgreens and Amazon.

Cashier has some kind of chip on her shoulder... Lady ahead of me pulled the tape too hard and mess the receipt up on self checkout and she act the fool on me because of it... I will never come back here

So im not the one to leave reviews (especially bad reviews) but I have had it. About a month ago my child was sick with vomiting. I went to get her prescription from there and they were out. So I went next door to Central Pharmacy and they had it. So just 3 days ago my child got a prescription and I went to pick it up and looked in the back and there was no syringe for the medicine. I asked for one they said they were completely out. Thats fine. So I started giving my infant this med (which she has had before and took with no problem) and she spat it out time and time again so I tasted it and needless to say there was no flavor in it. So I went back today to ask them to flavor it and they said well we dont have the flavor. So I went back over to Central Pharmacy and they said they couldnt flavor it bc it was already mixed and you have to take water out when you mix it or it will mess the dosage out. So CVS would have done it and messed the dosage up if they had the flavor in the store....last time I will go there. They need to get it together. Moving all my medicine to Central Pharmacy!!!

On Sept. 14, I submitted a prescription at the prescription counter a few minutes after 2 p.m. and told the CVS representative that I would wait for the prescription. I was told that my name would be called when the prescription was ready, after which I sat down in the waiting area in front of the pharmacy counter. At 2:50 p.m., I asked someone at the pharmacy counter about the delay in filling my prescription and was told that it was ready and had been for quite some time. I later found out that my wife had received a text message saying the prescription was ready at 2:11, which was substantiated by the receipt accompanying the prescription that gave a "promised" time of 2:12. It was only by asking about my prescription that I learned that it was ready. Apparently, no one at CVS felt the need to tell me that it was ready, thereby wasting 40 minutes of my time. This indifference to customers' wait times is inexcusable. I will be trying the Walmart pharmacy next time.

I'm done with this CVS. My daughter just had her tonsils and adenoids removed this morning. We dropped off her 2 Rx. My husband went back to pick them up and when he got home her pain medicine was not in the bag. This is not the first time CVS has either left out a Rx or giving us the wrong brand of medication.

This location is horrible I wish I could use another pharmacy but unfortunately my insurance prefers cvs. I wait in long lines every time I try and pick up my meds. They are always short handed They will tell you they are out of meds you dearly need and the day they say it will come in it doesn’t happen then the get aggravated when you ask about it. I’d give them a zero if I could

I will never shop here again. Their sign outside said 12pk coke products 3/10$ My family went in to stock up on the good sale. When we checked out we seen it was more. Looked at the receipt and it was showing 2/10$ . My husband went back inside for answers. They said the light up sign didn't get changed it was last weeks ad. They gave it to us for the 3/10 price. We spent over 60$ on their mis-ad. They said they would add back the amount owed to my account. Apon checking my account they took another 31$ off my card. almost 100$ total to my account. 62.16 + 31.35= 93.51 I get they are going to give me back the amount owed in 72 hours but if I didn't have 93.51 to spend to them in that 72hr wait time my bank would hit me with an NSF fee too! I called to explain this to the MGR and yet they still didn't understand how their mess up caused an inconvenience on our part. If my money doesn't appear back on my card I am contacting the Corporate office.

This CVS is so rude. They charged me for my Rx without using my insurance card; then when they did it was going to take a few minutes so they made me drive around twice until there was a 3 car line just because they wanted me to wait longer. The next time I went the car in front of me was taking a long time & they just let her sit there & hold up the traffic.

Absolutely terrible. They messed up my prescription every time, then made it like it was my fault. Don’t even try using a copay card there, as the inexperienced staff doesn’t know how to use it. Staff is incredibly rude and seemingly untrained. Save your time and money folks and go to another pharmacy.

Mishawn should look for employment elsewhere. She definitely needs to quit playing on her phone WHILE she is completing a transaction. If I wanted terrible service, I would have purchased my medicine at Walmart. CVS you definitely dropped this ball with this worthless employee. I asked this individual how she was doing and she ignored me and did not seem too enthused to be working today.

When you try to call the pharmacy, they either never answer the phone or leave you on hold for 30+ minutes. I was on hold for 38 minutes. When they finally answered, I said “Hello, one of my prescriptions…” and was hung up on.

Went as a walk in for part 1 of the COVID vaccine, received a card with the date I should come back to receive the second dose. Returned and was told I needed an appointment and would need to come back Monday, despite the fact that they were the ones who set the date. Also frequently out of many medications, with extremely long wait times.

Love the drive thru pharmacy. Every time I have to go in the store the person at the counter greets me and asks me how I'm doing. Prices are a little higher than other places nearby, but for the convenience and speedyness of the place, it's worth it.

Standard CVS location. Lines aren't generally too long. Pharmacy is usually busy but they tend to service you efficiently. Conveniently located and generous parking lot.
