I’ve been to the bluebonnet/ Louisiana Mall/ main Baton Rouge Best Buy so many times, their staff has always been outstanding. I’m not even sure if Sam still works there but he knows so much about his products, if your looking to buy a tv he knows every detail you need to know. One of the main managers-Vick runs a tight ship, not sure if he’s there anymore either but out of all Best Buy locations I’ve ever stopped at (I’ve been to them all in a 150 mile radius) he’s literally the best manager I’ve ever met throughout the years. If many of Best Buy’s locations were hacked off from corporate I would probably give all of them 5 stars because the actual stores are great. The 3 star review is not reflective of the actual store but it’s attachment to the overall machine that runs it, I’ll explain.There’s tons of issues to talk about but it’s all relating to corporate BB. Best Buy used to be hands down the best place to buy electronics due to a couple programs they had, their rewards program was awesome, you’d earn points with every purchase you made, I made elite plus/ whatever top tier was called, spent crazy amounts of money to get to that status, last year or 2 years ago they phased that out, it’s only to credit card holders that are allotted points now, they might have phased that out as well.I’ve also been a total tech holder since the ps5 hype back during Covid. Since then they have significantly gutted that program to and upped it to where you no longer receive the same features you used to for 200 dollars a year, pretty sure their raising that to.Don’t know if this is still a thing either but I swear per corporate policy they would charge you a fee if you want a bag to put your products in. You want to return something, restocking fee per corporate policy. No more return and buy something else.I have spoken to Best Buy employees who lament on the fact that corporate literally will restrict them from ordering more product to stock their own shelves in the store because they are trying to push shoppers to order from their website. Why anyone on this planet with any business sense in any business could/ should or would arrive at a clear thought and decide this was a beneficial idea for brick and mortar locations to stock less inventory to prop up their online business when their business is predominately built on brick and mortar locations is absolutely beyond me.There’s a reason you used to go to Best Buy and not Amazon, (past tense) you went for the building, the perks/ rewards program/ peace of mind that you can return with ease/ bring in to get fixed, the people, the touch and feel of the in-person experience of the product, the bag it comes in, the customer experience that you receive throughout the entire buying experience to get the “Best Buy” both literally and figuratively.It’s sad to see such a great mega chain going down the path of self sabotage straight from on high while the front line employees pay the price and lose the business/sales due to corporate insanity. There literally used to be a line in the morning before BB would open to get in just like at your favorite restaurant, now it’s becoming the next circuit city.You take the shoppers rewards away, you restrict and strip away the product they came to see, you up-charge them for the shopping experience they came to you over the competition to have, you spell out to the customer, we all see it loud and clear either consciously as I am writing or subliminally as they are displaying, corporate doesn’t like you or the current business model your visiting them for. I wrote this because there are a many great employees at the Baton Rouge Best Buy and all across the nation right now that are suffering because of corporate overlords that have no clue who their customers are and what they want.So heads up BB corporate, if you don’t get on program with your stores, you’ll probably be the next “toys r us” “circuit city” because the customer always makes the final rule and your customers don’t like what your doing to them or your stores.

Awful. I will NEVER shop here again. We have all the protection plans and the best buy membership plan. We went to the store for a repair and the geek squad consultant, Joe Cavalier, said no problem I will order you replacement parts. He never ordered it. I have the paper work and the order number and everything. They do not take calls at the store. They transfer you over seas to people who can't look up orders in the computer and just tell you to go back to the store. Horrible. I've been a Best Buy customer for 20+ years and I spend thousands of dollars there. NEVER. AGAIN.

Every time I try to get anything completed with the Geek squad, it's so unreal. I had an appointment. I talked with the with the guy over the phone and about my concerns with my laptop. Why did he try to sell me something I really don't need. There are several computer stores within the city of Baton Rouge LA that were more than able to assist me. 😳

Terrible customer service. Took my son here to pick a few games. Got to the counter and asked about an additional game being price matched and showed the ad to the cashier, she said she could price match wal mart price. I hurried to cancel the order I placed bc she was matching the price. Then the “manager” comes to the register and says no I can’t match the $10 savings.My son was pretty bummed but I had to run to target and I asked them while checking out can they price match a game - they looked it up and did it with no problem. Go ANYWHERE else but the “electronic” store to get things you need bc they are terrible with their management staff.

Best Buy sold me a dishwasher that they didn't actually have.My dishwasher broke down for the fourth time so I decided it was time for a new one. Since I was hosting a party in two days I needed one fast. I would usually go to Lowe's or Home Depot for this kind of purchase, but it wasn't clear what dishwashers they had in stock. I thought I'd check Best Buy. Their website said they had a good one in stock available for 1 hour pickup. I was thrilled, so I made the purchase online and waited for my pickup notification.After 2 hours the pickup notification never arrived. I figured I'd just go to the store, they could wheel it out from the back, help me put it in my truck, and I'd be on my way. I went to the pickup desk and explained the situation. They said they'd go locate it and get back to me. About 30 minutes later they said that the dishwasher was likely on a truck in the parking lot and needed to be unloaded first, so they assured me I'd get a notification later in the evening or early in the morning.The next day comes around and I still have no notification. It's 25 hours after I put the order in for a 1 hour pickup, Best Buy has $1,000 of my money, and I have no dishwasher. I try calling the store, it rings for like 8 minutes, and instead I'm redirected to their corporate call center. I explain the situation so they start to investigate. They say that the dishwasher I ordered wasn't actually available at the store I ordered it from, that it was going to be brought from another store for me to pick up. I ask what store it will be brought from, hoping I can just pick it up from there myself, and they tell me they don't know.So in summary I paid $1,000 for a dishwasher that they promised I could pick up in one hour when in fact they can't verify said dishwasher actually exists in their stores. I ask to cancel the order and ask for any kind of compensation, like a discount or whatever - I've lost lots of time on preparation for this party. They said if I bought another dishwasher from them they would offer a rebate. I tried to go to the Millerville Best Buy but couldn't find anyone to help me, so I gave up and went to Lowe's and left with a dishwasher in under 30 minutes.I guess the moral of the story is don't buy anything at Best Buy that you can't actually lay eyes on.

I finally got my camera!! But....Best Buy ohh Best Buy. This store needs some help and most likely better management.Guy at front of store wasn't helpful. The sales people were rude and it felt like I was an inconvenience for asking for help. After she helped me at the checkout I was asking about price matching and she got a little rude about it.I'm giving a 3 stars because after 2 other Best Buy's didn't have them in stock!I'll be back and hopefully next time you're a little nicer. I like to think I'm a nice guy! You can talk to me!

Horrible, lazy and incompetent management who is unfamiliar with Best Buy policy. Refused to honor a simple exchange for a defective item. Wasted hours of my time over a $6 item that was part of a much larger purchase.Corporate offered very little help, but agreed that the manager was wrong. I will NEVER shop at this, or any other Best Buy location again. They deserve the inevitable demise of this awful business.

Went to buy printer. I had researched so I had info in mind which was good idea because manager said he'd send knowledgeable staff to help me but didn't. At check-out he didn't let the counter checkers make the sale.

Bad experience due to poor management. Store managers should be familiar with Best Buy policy and offer solutions to customers based on that. I wasn't asking for special treatment, just simple customer service, and the manager of this store refused.I will never shop here again.

Store was stocked but the employees didn't seem to want to help. The few that we saw in the store were talking to each other instead of helping. When my husband spoke to the manager about it, all he could say was "okay have a great day."

We came in for a Geek Squad appointment today. A young lady named Cee helped us, and she was the star of the show. She was patient, courteous, and worked to help me find the right Xbox accessories for my son. She is an asset to this location.

Ordered a Christmas gift and used the store pick up option. We have been waiting for 48 minutes and have had to go inside twice and ask for our purchase. Still waiting. The employees are all chatting together and many are on their phones so there are plenty of staff and it’s not busy. Unacceptable service in my opinion.

Going to Best Buy is always a good experience. It's always easy to find things in Best Buy. Items are clearly labeled, and prices are reasonable. Every time I have gone there to make a purchase, the staff has been very kind and made it their mission to help me find what I am looking for. Online pickup is also a very smooth process.

This store has ZERO employees that are trained in the art of customer service. Not only was every single human we spoke with incompetent, what concerns me most is the level of apathy clearly being expressed by the Geek Squad team as well as the store Manager. If I could rate this store a 0 out of 5 I would. I recommend taking your time and money elsewhere whenever possible.

It all depends on who you deal with. Some of my experiences have been great, some the complete opposite. They have good sales which is a plus, but again the inconsistent customer experience is frustrating.

My visit today was to purchase a new cable modem router for the office. The gentleman at the entrance door was pleasant and directed to the aisle I needed.Rez was finishing up with a customer and shortly after, made himself available to assist me. He listened to my need and promptly began his search for the exact brand and model I requested.He was knowledgeable about the product and answered my questions in a simplified way for me to clearly understand.Rez exemplified great customer service and was very helpful even at the checkout counter suggesting that I purchase additional warranty coverage.Thank you for an awesome shopping experience! 🙂

Worst shopping experience ever! I literally waited over 20 minutes for someone to assist me. I walked to the customer service desk and asked for help and I was told that someone would come shortly. 4 times I asked 4 different people for assistance and no one came to assist me. Wendy finally came and when she did she assisted another customer that had just walked in the door. I asked why hadn’t someone came to help me and she got very rude. I also spoke with Tyler and he tried to justify Wendy’s behavior. This is one of the worst customer services I have ever dealt with….
