My husband and I very much enjoyed staying here. The rates are reasonable with everything included and they offer military discounts. The owners are very kind and do a fantastic job maintaining the place. There are a lot of long-term tenants and everyone I spoke to was friendly. It’s very quiet in the evenings which is perfect if you’re there for work. There’s a beautiful field at the back of the park to walk and play with your dogs if you have them. This place is truly a hidden gem. If we ever have to come back to the New Orleans area, this is where we’ll stay.

This place is AMAZING! The lady and gentlemen that run the place are the sweetest. I stayed at a rv park, downtown New Orleans my 1st night down and it was my worst experience of rv parks. So the next morning I packed up and headed to town and drove around looking for a new place. I pulled into Ama rv park and talked to them and told them what I was looking for and that I couldn't pay much up front. The lady here told me to not worry about rent till I could pay it being I was starting a new job and was going 2 weeks without pay and she told me to go find a spot that I wanted and start setting up. When I finally got paid I tried to give more than was due and she laughed and said just pay the amount we discussed. The laundry room and bathrooms ARE AMAZING! The water pressure at your camp spot and in their showers are perfect! I have borrowed a ladder and yard tools from them. For Christmas they had the whole place lit up with Christmas lights and a little drive through Christmas land for everyone to enjoy. The owners/operators live on the property full time so they are there for you 24-7. Like I said, "the sweetest people". They keep the lot clean and the grass cut. I've been here 2 months and I plan to live here till my 3 year work contract is up. Highly recommend.

So Blessed to have found this place! Have been to RV parks around the US and many don’t have a huge field to ride our golf cart,a place to walk 4 legged family members, and not to mention...the laundry mat is a huge plus,especially around here. Dorothy is the kindest,sweetest,and best manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! She makes sure to accommodate everyone and if you let her know there are problems,she fixes them right away,even if it’s as small as giving you your money back each time for the machines in the laundry room if they aren’t working right. Dorothy makes everyone feel welcomed and like family,to me that’s what matters most,not a laundry mat. I can’t thank her enough for allowing packages to be delivered to her porch and everyone to have their own mailbox. The RV Park also has a private drive,a playground with picnic table, and a speed limit for the families with kiddos who have to travel for work as mine does. If I could give this place more stars I would.

Stayed here while working in the area. Reasonable prices, nice laundry and bath house. All gravel road and parking area for trailers. Has good drainage, which is important in that area because it's always raining. There are a few parks in that area that are all grass and they turn into a big mud whole when it rains. The road into the park is narrow and a tight turn off of River Road. Very easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area. Far enough from the train track that the train noise is not a problem.

The manager here was an awesome young lady. I never had one problem with any of the other campers or neighbors. The wash house was always clean and washers were always available. If you stay here you will have peace and quite. The only surprise I had was the turn to get in the park. It’s a little narrow. I made it with a 32 ft camper tho. Make sure to stop at the corner store for early breakfast or late lunch. This place was awesome as well. Thanks again. I will be back for sure.

Quaint RV Park .....most beneficial for the "working man" . The park is primarily used by out of town contract workers that need a quiet comfortable place to call home when they are away from their own. The management is terrific. Dorothy and Gary have a way of making folks feel comfortable and welcome. I visited today just one week from the destructive hurricane Ida making landfall. These guys already have their laundry barn ready for visitors (with the exception of dryers ) , due to the temporary power outage. The site lots are all clean and ready for campers . Totally amazing how hard these people work ‼️

Very nice park. Nice managers. BUT the laundromat. 4 washers in total. One washer was full of green water. One washer didn’t work 1 had clothes. So I had only one option I wiped the rim off. It was covered in dirt and hair and had a funny smell. Washed my clothes they smelled funky. 4 dryers. 1 dryer took my money. 2 washers were full. So again only one option. So I went to clean the lint tray before starting my load and it was full of dog hair then I got covered in dog hair because it fell out on me. Coming from someone who travels with my spouse for work all year. I have an animal. I don’t wash his bed or blankets in laundromats because people have severe allergies to animals and I don’t want to wash my clothes behind some animal... having an animal is a responsibility and if I can travel on the road year round and maintain a clean RV with my dog without using laundromat facilities to clean his things you can too. It’s disgusting and inconsiderate. I am so grossed out.

By far the best Manager of a RV Park that we have ever had to deal with. Dorothy is so helpful and takes care of the place so well. Clean, quiet well maintained park. Will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

We don't use facilities in fancy resorts so were happy with this quiet RV park. Spacious sites. Very helpful and friendly hosts and neighbors. Clean laundry and wifi worked well there. Small playground for kids. Dog friendly. Convenient to drive to the French Quarter Festival in our tow car. Lots of parking lots in New Orleans. Took advantage of $12 French Market parking lot early bird rates (in before 10am, depart 2-7pm).

As a traveling worker, Ama RV suited my needs perfectly. The management is awesome. They quickly swapped out a breaker when it failed. They make sure it stays quiet. There is nearby shopping -- Winn Dixie 4 miles, Walmart 5 miles. However, the Ama corner grocery has daily delectable dishes and sandwiches. This will be where I stay the next time I'm in the area.

Very lovely RV park really enjoyed staying here, Dorothy keeps it looking so nice down at the laundry. But I would keep in mind there might be a rougarou in those woods where we walk the dogs

My boyfriend, our little furbaby and I stayed here while my boyfriend was working in the area. We really enjoyed staying here! Dorthy and Gary (campground managers) are wonderful people! The fellow campers were nice and pleasant people as well. We liked that it was quiet and was never any trouble. The only downfall is that the bathrooms could use a little updating but they are useable. We will definitely come back to visit this campground! Thank you for your hospitality Dorthy and Gary! We love you and miss you!

Quiet, great owner, nice clean place. Easy to get to the French Quarter, downtown and Garden District. Water pressure is excellent. We had a great three day stay. I would recommend to family and friends!!

We have lived here at the AMA RV Park for a year-and-a-half it is one of the best RV parks that we have stayed in across the United States it's country attitude and country field would down-home good people is a bonus if I could move here I would stay indefinitely. The manager Dorothy her husband Gary and Scott really take great care of this place never an issue with getting help if needed they're wonderful people!!

Quiet park, great for the working man. Very inexpensive. Not too far from 9 mile or Waterford. Laundry center needs some work and the on-site baths are horrible. But over all our stay was pleasant

We stayed at Ama Rv Park for about 4 months .We travel all over the USA for work. We are very grateful we found this please quiet wonderful Rv park. The manager Dorthy and Gary are full of great information of what and where you might want to visit. This rv park is close to everything you need it is maybe 30 minutes from New Orleans. The laundry and shower house all in the little red barn are very clean .The managers keep all the grounds very clean .love this place looking forward to staying here again!! So I accidentally posted 2 or 3 pics on their website of a small lake well those pics from missouri so there is no lake I cannot figure out how to edit them so sorry for the mix up.so if you in the area looking for quiet clean rv park this is the place!!

Ama RV Park is a great place to stay whether you are stopping over for a night or 2 or here long term.... Dorothy and Gary are awesome hosts. Close to NOLA so it can be a great base to explore the area.
