Carters/canes is a great local family grocery/deli/bakery. The workers always greet customers and are eager to help in anyway they can. The prices are typical for any small town grocery, but always have good sales. The meat is cut fresh and always looks better than most other big grocery stores.Their food is so good, my father-in-law drives from Ponchatoula to Albany weekly to get their chicken.

My whole family loves all of the Carter’s Supermarkets. They are always well stocked and have some pretty good sales every week. The store is always super clean and the items are neatly shelved.

Love Carter's in Albany. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Their meats are always fresh, and offers a great variety. Their buffet of food is fantastic. Love the fried fish and shrimp on Friday.

Been in a couple of times now and I am blown away by the "down home" feel. Everyone so kind and eager to help. You aren't a stranger in this place! Nice clean store with almost everything in place. Even other customers are different in that store! Like a time warp to simpler and more caring days! It's been a long time since I had any public experience like I have there. Everyone offers help and talks with you like they know you. I will absolutely be back and be thrilled to recommend this store to anyone, even if only passing through once!

Your store is very clean. Your cashier Heather is super friendly. Your salad bar is small however. The one in Livingston is awesome. Over all, really nice store

It's great for a quick run to the store. They are kind of high on some of their prices and sometimes don't have what I need.Edit: they are in the process of a name change not sure how I feel. The prices are still higher then some other places.

Overall has been a great local grocery store for me. I've been stopping in probably twice a week for almost 6 years now. Have had some minor issues such as a pack of chicken wings that was sour even with a good date, but can happen anywhere. I tend to favor the meat section and quality here vs other local places. As of July '23 I've noticed the specialty meats expanding as well. Lunch buffet is good, I hit that sometimes during the week - they have certain items every day so you can always change it up! I also like to grab a snack from the sushi stand sometimes. Glad to have that here in town.

We got out wedding cake from Carters in may of 2022! It was chantilly with local fresh fruit. It was so delicious and we love coming back for the mini chantilly cakes they put out often in the deli. The staff is super friendly and we love shopping local.

The employees are always very friendly, the store is always clean, workers can be a but slow at check out but they are all mainly kids from high school which is great because they need the learning and the experience! I'm not fond of the prices. Never have been and never will be HOWEVER. I still shop at Carter's!! 😍 They have sales and carry everything you need!

The store was very clean & the food in the deli was fresh the cashier was kind & courteous..Oh yeah i like there brand of water because of the snap top lid cant lose the lid that way.Oh yeah seafood Friday's are cool for lunch they have fish and shrimp on the bar

I live in holden, la. 6 miles from Carters in albany and 6 miles from carters in Livingston. I went Albany today because i needed to go tomthe pharmacy next door. I usually go to Livingston but since I was there I went there. The ad in the circular advertised 16 Louisiana crawfish tails for $9.99 lb. This is a very good price. I only found two bags that said Louisiana on them . Got to the register and they rang up over $17.00. Needless to say, I protested. The so called manager came up front and told me these weren’t right. He went back and couldn’t find any. I went in god faith and was told that i couldn’t have these, even though they clearly said Louisiana and were 16 oz. He asked me to come back tomorrow which is a 12 mile round trip, hard enough but for an 80 year old, worse. I think he could have substituted the ones they had surely Carters’s could afford to correct their mistake, so if you’re old and handicapped don’t go to Carters’s in Albany.The clerks were nice.Clay barrilleaux

Shen you walk in it just feels like the place need a remodel or to be cleaned really well. Other than that though, I really have no complaints. The staff is usually always courteous to what you need, and know the location of items within the store. I do not end up in a wild goose chase while looking for any items that I may need to get.

I just ordered my daughter’s first birthday cake from here and Michael was so friendly, helpful and helped me design the cutest cake. Friendly staff who are quick to greet you and help you! Five stars!

Clean restrooms friendly staff. Great plate lunches also.had everything I needed plus plenty more .all types and cuts of fresh meat. Plenty fruits and vegetables to add to any type of meal you may want. Also just about any kind of baby food ( or maybe old ppl food ) that you'd need.

Their deli makes a great hot lunch, and their cakes are delicious. Also, really great sushi bar! Parking is a mess, but that's life. Shop locally, don't go to the big box stores.

This review is regarding the buffet. Prices are way to high for the quality of food, I will not be going there for lunches anymore. All the sides are so heavy that tenders and a side can end up costing you more than $10.

Waitress wasn't very friendly. My food didn't come out hot. Soup was so thick. My friends had the chicken with shrimp fried rice they said it was so much salt. It was my first and last time at Boston.
