It was my first time in this supermarket. I had a wonderful experience. One young man went above and beyond. His name is Jerrod Allen he made sure I found the items I was looking for in a timely manner as I was pushed for time. I live in Baker Louisiana and I can assure you if I ever need anything in Addis it would definitely be purchased at Benedetto’s!

The only reason I shop here is because it's convenient. About 2 miles from my house. They will take all of the bread for tugboat and we have none. The aisles are always cluttered. Extremely high on prices.

Price/Quality - Though pricier than some other places, the selection here is always high quality. I make the 20 minutes drive from Plaquemine fairly often. I come for the more exotic items you don’t usually find in a small town.Customer Service - What brought me to leave a review, however, was my experience I just had. The customer service was above and beyond excellent. Friendly, informative, polite.There was a lady working in produce that was just so friendly and helpful. She asked politely what our plans were for the night, explained the differences between a couple salad ingredient options, and gave her well wishes. There were two young women and one young man working near the checkout lane I strolled into, and all three of them jumped in to help expedite my check out. One sprayed my plant leaves, the other loaded my groceries while the last handled the cash. The teamwork and customer service was so impressive. As I was loading my groceries, the young man picking up the baskets found where I dropped my keys on the ground and gave them to me.They were all so just so polite, and as they were the first people of the day that I saw and spoke to, it started my weekend off on an bright and right foot!

Where can I start. My 2 teen kids worked here and it was a horrible experience had to call the police foe someone assaulting my daugther. Than the Manager Chris disrespected both my kids. I confronted him called the owner and nothing was done about it. I don't recommend and young kids to work here until they have better training in being a Manger. I speak on it because I was a Manger and it's better ways to talk with a teen and parents. Get your store in order

Employees are super friendly. The food assortment is amazing and good quality. The store is designed beautifully and is kept very clean. Specialty meats, fresh shrimp, great wine selection, stamps, western union and a fresh vegetables are some things I like about the store. Has a real Louisiana flavor. My favorite store.

Cleanliness has come down a bit.. I am thankful to have something closer than Wal-Mart and Butcher Boy. I think the staff here is always so helpful. They really go out of their way to help. Prices are spendy. However, saves gas going else where when I only need a few items. I like supporting local businesses. They also do orders for the boats, with delivery.

Benedetto's is an ok store, it's more of a convenience for those traveling along HWY 1. Just stop in, grab what you need, and go. I'm sure because of this it's why they're a bit pricier and the fact that it's a smaller Town with not another store for another 10-15 miles. However, I have never had an issue with shopping here and hope it continues.

I mostly go there for the deli. Good home due meals daily, Monday thru Saturday. Service is excellent, store is kept well stocked with fast check outs. Prices are a little higher than Walmart, but you're supporting a local home grown business. A big part of their business is delivering to ships and business's throughout the area. The deli closes around five during the week, a little earlier on Saturdays. Their bakery makes some great cookies and cakes that are delicious. I highly recommend this store.

This store can be expensive at times. But the staff is always friendly and helpful. One of the managers Mr. Fred even offered to special order my son's formula Nutramigen. I love this place. I shop here at least 2/3 times a week.

Cleanest store I've ever seen; super friendly staff -- you never feel like you're bothering anybody (sometimes the staff even carries my bags to the car!); and all ways good sales to check out. It probably the most "Southernly" store you'll ever visit. :)

Jerrod Allen. Truly a great employee and great team member. I called ahead because my 4 yr old niece was ill and had just gotten release from the hospital ER. Her mother was not able to leave in her in the car because the freezer sugar free popsicle and go-gurt to my understanding is the back of the store. So I called and to speak to a supervisor, when this young gentleman Jerrod answered the call. I explained my problem and he assured me not to worry to down the minor order. We made the purchase over the phone. He told us to pull up to the door and they will bring it to the car. I am not sure if they have those types of services, however this type of service goes far and beyond excellence with me in my book. 1 thing I've learned the hard way to do is check expiration dates on EVERYTHING I buy. Ex.: bought a can of cranberry sauce in November for Xmas dinner. It expired in prior September but didn't realize it until I opened it and it tasted nasty. Other times happened too. Finally learned a lesson.They treat the customer like they are very important to them and no matter who they are, they treat each person w/great care. Prices are high like gas station/convenience store prices. That's why I can't give them 5 stars. I've seen several people using food stamp cards that buy name brands w/no consideration for cost. I can't even do that for myself. No fault of Benedetto's though. Milk prices competive. They sell things like stamps, money orders, lottery. Great neighborhood store like those from days gone by. Locals depend on them.

It's conveniently close to the local housing areas (a Neighborhood store.) It does have a great general selection of items and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is great. Brightly lit, nice temperature and items are neatly displayed on the shelves.However, the selection of fruits and vegetables are a bit subpar. I spent $7 on a bag of grapes and I had to throw half the bag away because it was spoiled. Also, the pricing is a bit higher end. I did an experiment: I purchased a shopping list with the same items. I bought items here and I bought items from Wal-Mart. The items purchased here cost me $33.18. The items purchased at Wal-Mart cost $21.97. It was a huge difference. So a tip here would be to get their sales paper and shop from there to get lower priced items.All in all, it's a good place to shop. I haven't had service in years that offers to help you bring your bags to the car. There's also a deli that includes hot and cold fresh foods (plated meals to go: breakfast, lunch, and (maybe) dinner) and a pretty extensive wine, beer and liquor selection. I was even able to purchase Sushi there. Lastly, for travelers, there are quite a bit of Louisiana specific items that aren't easily found anywhere else. It's almost worth paying a little extra for the "unicorn" in your state or country. 😂

I just find this place to be way over priced and the aisles to be cramped. I dont know if it is because it is so close to Christmas that they need the extra inventory out or what, but they should definitely reconsider how they have it positioned. My cashier was extremely polite. I think it's an excellent place if you need something right quick but I wouldnt make it my go to grocery store.

The market is pretty clean and the choices are nice but they close really early. The customer service is great and they will help you with whatever you need. You feel safe as there is usually a police detail here.

It's an excellent little store with all of the basics. It even has Wine and Liquors. I'd rather go there than Walmart anyday!
