I would eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Seriously the best place to eat in town! Prices are very affordable and the restaurant looks and feels high end. Fries are cooked in, what I feel like, is a batter you would use for fish. Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like fish! Bacon on the burger was very crunchy and piled high. They definitely didn’t skimp.

Got a half of rack of ribs, loaded potato, and steamed broccoli. As good of meal as I could have asked for, service was good and really enjoyed the decor inside the restaurant. Hope to get to go back again.

While out with the husband car shopping, we stumble upon this gem! I've read the other reviews of Pine Mountain and I am shocked! Our meal was wonderful!!! My husband had the ribs and chicken tender meal which was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and the chicken tenders were so tender and juicy. You can tell they are prepared fresh. As far as it being overpriced, I disagree. I had Uncle Gerald's Favorite breakfast combo and our total for dinner was $25.07. Sorry there are no pics of our meal. We were hungry and honestly, the food was so good that I forgot to snap a few shots. Other than a handful of drive thru fast food restaurants, I didn't see any other restaurants in the area. This community is lucky to have such a wonderful place for a great meal. The bathrooms were so clean and the decor is beautiful. Also, the gift shop will blow your mind. Kinda reminds me of a smaller hometown Cracker Barrel! Will definitely be back if visiting the area again!

Raw catfish - sent back my meal, waited forever to get it the second time, by then I was not hungry. My table had already finished their meal. They did not offer a discount or to take it off my bill when I voiced displeasure of the meal. Poor customer service. Very disappointing as I normally like to eat here. Listen to your customers.

Great food, service at a fair price, some of the best food hands down. Just as good as cracker barrel, better than most places regardless of price.Update: Me and my wife was there at the last week in February, and it was one of the worst steaks ever. We ordered two New York strip steaks and they were so tough and tasteless it can't be from the same vender as they have always used.I know that prices have increased on everything but for twenty eight dollars I expect a nice, tender, and delicious steak. Another thing,. They don't serve Ribeyes either, which is my favorite.UPDATE TO THE UPDATE The owner commented on my review with I'll look into that, which to me translates into" go screw yourself, I don't care". What is there to look into? Are you calling me a liar? I can understand that prices are going up so that part is okay. But what I can't stand is to raise prices AND offer a inferior product at the same time. Look I didn't ask for my money back, me and wife have been going to PMG FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. We drive over thirty miles each way to enjoy a meal, all which are both delicious and at a fair price; that is what is so disappointing that "our favorite restaurant in the mountains" lack the high standards that we experienced and expect. P.S. I'm just an old farm boy, when it comes to steaks, chicken, and pork I can tell the difference in the aged steaks that was offered and whatever inferior product you have now..

This place was really just ok. They had some nice things in their gift shop and the veggie soup I ordered was great. They do have a decent salad bar, but I was offered 1 plate only and it was very small. The rest of the food (cheeseburger) was just ok. Our waitress was super nice, but it just seemed that all staff was inattentive. From the time we walked in, there was no greeting, we were left staring while the hostess played with the phone a few times, then there was confusion on where to seat us... even though the place was almost empty. I did feel the location was very clean and the decor was nice.

TLDR:Dont think about it, just go. Get the beer cheese burger.Let me start off by saying that I wish I could give this more stars. We'll start with the food, cause that's why you're here. I ordered the Cougar BBQ Beer Cheese Burger, it comes with a side of fries which I had them to load for an additional 99 cents. My wife had the Hickory Smoked Bacon cheeseburger and elected to get a loaded baked potato for her included side. This truly might have been the greatest thing I've ever eaten. It tastes exactly like you imagine it will, and so much more. The wife echoed this sentiment. I can't believe I haven't been here before, but I know I'll be back. The pricing was very reasonable for what you're getting, and they even have a nice gift shop with some very cool local items. The place was very well designed, extremely clean, and all precautions against covid were being taken (masks, distance etc.). All of the wait staff we're extremely friendly and proficient. This is my new favorite place and I can't wait to go back. Thanks so much to the Pizza Hutt across the road for having a closed dining area, we almost didn't go, and I'm sure glad we did.

We came here because we were on a mission trip in Jenkins, Kentucky. My son and I got the Frazier lasagna and my daughter got the kids meal chicken nuggs and fries. The salad bar is 4.99 for an add which is a one trip. It's ok it's plus because it has feta cheese on it. But, it's kinda like Ruby Tuesday's salad bar. As far as the Frazier lasagna it was odd. It was on the dry side and it was made with onion, green pepper, and mushrooms. It just wasn't good and my daughter said that the fries were ok but, the nuggets weren't good. With all of that we had to pay 40.00 for that. 😕Hopefully well find a different place to eat next time.

Waited over 40 minutes to be seated, all the while there were 2 booths empty, clean ready for guests. 1 table was being bussed was told that it could still be awhile before we could be seated.They've changed their salad plates 🍽 to such a small one that it's not worth what they charge for it. Only allow 1 1/2 roll per person then they charge you extra when you ask for more. I have a hard time understanding why the back dining room is not open, I mean instead of making customers wait for an hour wen you have a huge dining room empty that doesn't make sense to me.

A good restaurant to go to when you're done here in the Pine Mountain Kentucky area we always enjoy this little spot the food is very good fried green tomatoes chicken tenders pot roast fried pork chops all good great service great staff very clean covid-19 compliant been around over 20 years we've been coming here for the last 17 or so years when were down this way we always stop here and we've always had good service you will enjoy yourself here the layout of this place is very nice it's very friendly to everybody for the whole family we highly recommend

My family loves to eat here. Even the kids find something they will eat. Locally owned with a good representation of Appalachian cuisine. Wait times are seldom an issue but expect a large crowd after Sunday services. The food is adequately priced, service is great, portion sizes are more than enough and tastes like home. My favorites are the ribs or Philly cheese and anything from the breakfast menu. Salad bar is awesome and always ask for rolls. Nice gift shop full of independent artisans and local trinkets. Enough space to accommodate large parties, catering, weddings, conferences, etc. plus it’s a short drive to the top of Pine Mountain where you can catch a view like nowhere else. Great sunsets and sunrises.

Some items are just a little bit pricey, however , that is to be expected in the restaurant business due to their costs of their products.My service was great! The staff were very good and took great care of me and answered my questions I asked, with professionalism in doing such. Very enjoyable and will patronize this establishment whenever I have to travel to Whitesburg KY to do business for my company.

It was a very good and peaceful atmosphere.I had breakfast there on my visit, and I enjoyed it. I got the right order of my Neal and at a very good price also. It has a neat gift shop with unique gifts . The decor was very neat looking too and somehow displays of pictures were really informative with their little write ups about their history.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Has handicap access into the restaurant area.

Beautiful place inside, the staff members were beyond nice and our waiter was outstanding! They offer all types of different food, something for everyone even for the pickiest of the pickiest people like myself. Great prices! I was expecting our bill to be expensive but it wasn't at all for what we ordered. If I lived closer I'd go there almost every time we went out to eat. 10 out 10 recommend!

Hubby and I stopped by after a day of driving around Eastern Kentucky admiring God's beautiful fall leaves.We both ordered the fish dinner. The fish was delicious and the fries were as well. However to me the Cole slaw was bland with no flavor. We did not receive our hush puppies till after we'd finished eating.Service was good (except for missing items) especially with a restaurant full of folks.I did ask our waiter who was responsible for making sure the order was correct. He said the expeditor.I'll be sure to ask for any missing food items immediately upon receiving food if needed.Vegetarian options: Having Alpha Gal I must eat more veggies. The options were few!Dietary restrictions: I have Alpha Gal.I asked our waiter if the chicken was cooked away from any beef and pork. He went to ask cook.Since it is not cooked separately I had to eat fish.Alpha Gal is a result of a tick bite and can cause life threatening results where the individual swells from the inside restricting airways!Horribly scary!

The restaurant itself is very beautiful. There is ample parking. However, when we were ordering and on the menu, we were never told that the $6 salad bar was a one trip only thing. In most restaurants I've been too, when you get the salad bar, you can go as many times as you like. I would not have paid $6 for a salad I had to make myself, had I known I could only get one. The salad bar plate they gave us was very small, and certainly not worth $6. The waitress was very snooty about it when we asked too. I have emailed the company and got no response either.

Never disappointed at this restaurant. Food is always fresh and delicious. Ate there today. The young man who was our waiter was great. I’m a good cook myself so I know good food when I taste it , and this is good food. Husband had chicken tenders, I had the steak tips. Price comparable to other similar restaurants. I didn’t think it was overpriced at all. Do yourself a favor and if you’re in the area, eat here.
