I mean , the only bakery in town able to do on the spot writing for a cookie is Valu Market. Thank you so much for accommodating my request and for serving me as a valued customer. The bakery section is incredibly ridiculous, I am talking really great custom cakes and bakery items. What an awesome hidden gem in the Mount. I also inquired and they can do Black Forest cakes, um yes please and thank you, I will be ordering for Christmas time desserts. The flower section is also top notch as is the delicatessen. Unfortunately they could not accommodate request for balloons with helium as they are out and have not been resupplied since May 2022. Maybe if anyone knows of Helium supply can maybe help this small town store out they would as would the community greatly appreciate it.

The only reason I am leaving a 1 star is because I can’t leave a negative rating. The lack of customer service and care that was given by the team working 1/13/2024 was beyond disappointing. I called the store to inquire about getting a chicken in the deli. I was told I would be transferred to the deli. After 4-5 minutes on hold, I hung up, and I called back to the main number. The young man who answered the phone said he would have them answer the phone. When they did, I thought it was some kind of joke because the young lady who answered the phone was rude, short, and very sarcastic. I asked if they had a chicken, she said, “no”. I asked if I could have her name, please. She said, “I don’t want to give you my name.” I asked for a manager. She said, “we have a chicken”. I told her I would be there in 5 - 10 minutes to get it. When I made my way into Valu Mart, the lady behind the counter wouldn’t stop cleaning her station to engage with me fully. I asked if I could have the chicken, and she said if we have any they would be in the warmer. There wasn’t a chicken. I let her know there wasn’t one. I asked if I could talk to the young lady that I spoke to on the phone just 10 minutes ago, this middle aged lady said, “that was me.” I knew it wasn’t, so I said the person I spoke to was a very young lady, may I speak to her? The lady went to get the other deli work, and she didn’t come out to speak to me. She said, “someone else must’ve gotten the chicken.” At this point, it was becoming clear that there wasn’t a chicken, and they were trying to breakdown the deli, clean it up, and get out of there before I arrived. It was right 7:00 PM. The lady asked if I would like to speak to a manager, I told her, yes, I would love that. When the manager arrived back to the deli area, and I started to tell him about how disappointed I was with my experience, his reply was, “the deli is closed”. With that reply, I asked for the store managers name, and I will follow up with him on Monday. But with his reply about them being closed, my wallet is now closed for Valu moving forward, and I will take my business to Kroger.

Less busy than its competition across the street, and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Not perfect for our family shop, since we have a vegetarian in the house and often opt for meat alternatives that we can't find here, but great for the staples.

I had a cake done for my daughter’s 4th birthday party and it was honestly so perfect! I’ve only ever ordered cakes from the Sullivan bakery because I knew they were very well executed but always pretty expensive. Heard about this stores bakery being recommended by a lot of local moms and gave it a try.I got a two tiered cake that could feed about 20 ppl that was decorated perfectly without any fondant! And a dozen cupcakes and it all came to only $60!!! I highly recommend them and definitely going back for all the parties lol!

I love this grocery store . Flava Dave is the best. They grill out on Thursday evening.Food is great cost is reasonable.This store is so friendly and they make you feel welcome.I will go here before kroger even is some of the prices are higher because it's small town vibes and I love that.

I shop here regularly. Use the value card. Buy all your pork here, pricing and quality very good. Stop by the value section, always good deals, especially lemon or lime juice. They have an amazing bakery too if you want custom cakes. Stop by on Thursday 4-7...they grill outside. You pull up in your car, order, pay and then drive up and someone gives you your food. Steak, vegetables and dessert for less than $20 and faster drive through than a fast food joint.

She did such a great job. My daughter is a HUGE minion fan, they had a book that had different designs with plastic minions but wanted something different. She said she could do a minion shaped cake and it was only 10 more dollars!!! My daughter fell in love with it and didn't want to eat it he was so cute!!! But it did taste great!!!

It's a great workplace for a teenager. Also prices are lower than Kroger, better meat than Kroger, and Valumarket is more of a neighborhood market than Kroger. Love this place!

I was one of the many that stopped going to this location after Kroger opened. When you compare the prices it just doesn't seem logical not to. In all honesty I think the long time loyal customers are what's keeping it open. Kind of like the rest of the Rite-Aids.

So value market doesn't have the selection and such as bigger grocery stores but overall I liked it and it has most everything I shop for. The people were nice and was able to check out very quick. The produce and such seemed fresh. Overall nothing really negative. Maybe one comment is one aisle was a little tight to walk down with a cart, they had those box displays and to get around was a little annoying but a nice grocery store I will go back to.

Very nice and clean store. Much better prices than the Kroger. They even have a "Dollar and 25 Tree" section. On the weekends they have peeps making grilled food outside.

I came up mainly to buy coleslaw for dinner at the deli tonight and the lady in front of me bought 4 pounds of coleslaw and after I was ignored for several minutes and was finally waited on I was told the rest they had in a tub had to be used for pre orders and I only wanted a pound. They gave the previous lady some from the same tub.Just because there are preorders doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be available in the deli for other customers doing their shopping. I normally love the deli but I feel like there should be more preparedness for regular customers. I am very disappointed!

Such a nice store. And, every time I go in there. There's 2 or 3 good looking single woman in there shopping. Well they appear to be single. And, I always find something to say like," do you have to add water to this pancake mix dear. But, usually there isn't but, one or two patrons in there each time I go. Kroger's to strong. I remember watching Kroger gobbblin up Winn Dixie.
