Dr Mattingly is kind and compassionate. She was so sweet when we had to put my Buffy girl to sleep after being ill and my old vet telling me she was ok. My other dog Lucy is scared of strangers but when she went to the vet she did very well with everyone and got lots of treats. I recommend them to anyone. They care about your pets just as much as you do.

This place is a true Gem for animals. I am not from this area my cat become ill. I called them and they told me bring him in, when I got there they took us right back. All the staff was very polite and friendly and answered any questions I had. The room was very clean the whole area I seen was clean. The doctor and her staff was amazing. This is definitely a place to go. The price was not bad either. They really took time and helped my cat. Thank you all so much!

Our pup was sick and they squeezed us in. They've treated our pup like family every time we've been in. It's been wonderful.Everytime we go, they treat our pup like she's family. I couldn't have picked a better vet for her, and you won't regret it either.20230228 update. We have a new pup and brought them both in for checkups. Dr. Mattingly is the best around. We travel an hour to take our family pets to see her. Always responsive, gueinally cares for our aminals, and we trust her guidance. Her staff is wonderful, and very friendly.

Everyone here is great! The pricing is affordable and the staff really care about your pets. We’ve taken several strays here for vaccines and spay/neuter services. They’ve been very patient with our more nervous pets.

My husband usually takes our dogs to the vet. We switched them from Country Critters in Feeders Supply. He liked them right off. We took our precious senior baby there. They did everything they could to make her comfortable. And helped us make decisions that was best for both us and our sweet girl. We now take our new baby there.

They may have been great but we’ll never know. My first appointment was scheduled incorrectly (8a vs 2:30p) but I didn’t know this until two weeks later when I received the text reminder. Called to have it corrected but I would have to wait another two weeks just so I could have an 8a appointment before work. Not a very good first impression.

They are all extremely caring, patient and informative. They know who you are when you walk in, even if you do t have one of your babies with you, they ask how they are doing. I feel comfortable and have a peace of mind bringing my boys here. So thankful for Dr. Mattingly!

UPDATE: due to complications, I was forced to take my dog to a 24hr emergency vet where he was kept overnight to be taken care of. He was discharged with antibiotics and pain meds.Disappointing Experience - Unmet Promises and Lack of ConsentI recently had a concerning experience with Vine Grove Vet that compelled me to share my thoughts. Despite an initial discussion and assurance from the vet and vet techs that no extractions would be needed during my dog's tier 1 cleaning, the vet proceeded to extract teeth without obtaining my consent. This was particularly disconcerting as my dog's age was not even known. They said the teeth extracted were baby teeth and would grow back…he’s 9.Moreover, my dog was left in pain, with the vet refusing antibiotic or anti-inflammatory medication. She apologized for a "miscommunication" which was little consolation, especially considering the significant deviation from the initially discussed treatment plan. To make matters worse, the the girl at the front seat stated that extracting two teeth was a mere $30, which was both surprising and unsettling, as if the money matters or this makes the lack of consent to pull my dog’s teeth better. The cost for the cleaning was fair, but the lack of consent has me questioning ethics and professional conduct. The vet herself came to speak with me, but just said they were wiggly, not infected and she didn’t understand why I was upset but that I never told her that I didn’t want teeth extracted.This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the level of communication and adherence to agreed-upon treatment plans at Vine Grove Vet. I hope this review provides valuable insight for others and prompts the necessary improvements in their practices, such as mandating a form specifically for this since communication clearly is an issue in the practice.

Just like many of the other reviewers have said this place is the best vet in the state. They will accommodate and support your pet as best as they can. They took excellent care of my two mini dachshunds I brought in because they were sick. Got them in and out quickly at the last minute. They are supportive, respectful and professional when dealing with customers. This place is now my go to vet for my pets I will not take them anywhere else. Awesome place for your pets! I love this place!
