I was heading to Buffalo Trace to help my cat, Gumbo, that we found on the side of the street. I, at first, had traveled to the wrong place. I called explaining what had happened, and they moved our appointment from 10:30 to 11:00! After that, they took great care of us and Gumbo, treated her with care and friendliness. The staff were experienced in their respective fields, and our cat feels much better.They even have a donation box for those who can't afford all medications! I completely recommend going here, especially for an animal in need. Be prepared to provide lots of information.

I travel from Lexington and am always happy to do so. I’ve always had a positive experience at Buffalo Trace. The staff is caring and compassionate. Most importantly, I feel like I can trust them. It does not feel like they are eager to charge you with a large bill like other vet offices I’ve been to. They always go over prices first (before charging), always give you options, and do not pressure you to move forward with anything you’re not comfortable with. I feel like they truly have the best interest for my pup and I!

So my appointment was at 10:30 and apparently they had over booked me ( I may be wrong) cause they had just got done with a dog so that family left then they were working with another animal and I was waiting in the room for quite a while and had to ask how much longer it would be before my cat could be seen for what was supposed to be a quick visit

Absolutely wonderful. The staff is so kind and helpful. I'm pretty anxious when it comes to my dog, but they this clinic makes you feel at home. Affordable prices and stellar care. I travel a good distance for them and it's worth it!

Absolutely loved it here! Staff was very kind and caring to my pup and about some of my concerns on certain things and felt no judgment for any decisions that were made!! They took such good care of my pup even through all the hassle he caused them and never once did they seem frustrated at him like i’ve experienced at other offices before! 10/10!!!

I got my male dog neutered here in February 2022. Everything went well. He had to wear a cone for about a week afterwards until he stopped trying to lick the incision. The vet called me a couple days after the procedure to make sure everything was ok. The cost was very reasonable

We had to put my 17 year old cat down and a Dr. Jenkins and the entire staff were so compassionate. They all made this process so much better, it was already a rough thing to do.This is where we take all our animals, because they are always awesome with babies. Highly recommend them!

If I could give a “ZERO” 0 stars, believe me, I would this was a complete bait and hook. I called to get a estimate on a simple procedure and told them the estimate to beat and they informed me they could definitely beat that estimate with that being said they ended up coming over $200 more than the estimate I had already had and on top of that pretty much was baited into paying for a consultation office visit for $63 . So pretty much just used me to get a free $63 and knowing they couldn’t even come close to my estimate I had already given them.

Took my baby girl kitty Bella there on 9/30/22. She was miserable. Scratching and biting. She wasn't playing at all and she's only 2. Dr. Bryant and Geneva were great. So thorough but very gentle. I have 2 other boys at home. We got topical medicine for all 3. Will definitely go back here in future. Thank you for taking care of my baby.

I drove an hour and a half to get my dog spayed with them. My sister recommended them because where i lived it was extremely expensive. They have friendly staff and I felt safe leaving my girl with them. The vet even called me the next day to make sure she was doing okay and to see if there was anything we needed. Definitely recommend them!

I always feel comfortable bringing my dogs in to Buffalo Trace. The staff are kind, gentle, and helpful. Each time my fur babies aren’t feeling well, someone calls to check on them within a few days. They are also affordable!

We traveled 100 miles to have our dog neutered here because of the discount rate that our local vets just didn't offer. The staff was very caring, friendly and understanding of our long travel and made appoint to see our dog was made priority. Facility was very clean and I would recommend this Vet to anyone with a beloved family pet. They even called a week later to check up on our little guy to see that he was making a full recovery!

Our pets are family. Taking them to Buffalo Trace your pets are cared for and treated like family. Pricing is reasonable as well. I have recommended several of my friends to go there and they all said they were so glad they did!My cat screamed in the car all the way to and from. Once inside, relaxed for the exam. Thank you!!

I am so pleased with their services. I pulled in the lot, called to let them know I was there, and they came out and got my pup within five minutes. They were very friendly and had him done in 15 minutes. Highly recommended!

I hope I never have to take my fur babies anywhere other than Buffalo Trace! The entire staff are professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and incredibly accommodating. We have never had to wait past our appointment time and every action of care necessary for the staff to perform is clearly done with thought and concern for making it as stress free on our animals as possible. The staff here truly cares and it shows.

This is the best practice ever. My dogs are usually very upset when having to visit the vet. Not here!!! The whole staff is super friendly and you can tell they love animals. Quick and easy appointment plus their prices are below average. I look forward to bringing my pets there for many years.

I recently adopted a kitten from LHS and decided to use this practice for his care. I am so happy I did because they love him as much as I do! Even with COVID and not being able to meet the staff, I am confident that my kitten is receiving quality care every time. Dr. Jenkins is very sweet and personally called me to follow up with how my boy was doing. Very amazing and quality care for a very affordable price! I am from Delaware and this level care is hard to come by!

I've had only good experiences at Buffalo Trace Veterinary Services over the last few years. They were highly recommended to me by a family member. My dogs and cats have been handled kindly and with sincere caring. The vets are thorough with their explanations and options. We have always been treated politely and with respect. I just moved to Ky, and my dog became very sick. On a recommendation from a friend, I called Buffalo Trace. They got my dog in to see them within 2 hours. Dr. Bryant was great, the vet tech was fabulous- they both were very good with people, as well as my dog. 24 hours later, he's back to his old self after a shot there and take home meds. I couldn't be happier!

Dr. Jenkins and Geneva are the best! Dr. Jenkins is very personable, kind, and doesn't speak condescendingly to you or expect you to be able to spend outrageous amounts of money. She always gives me options to fit my budget. I trust and value her opinion. Geneva is very helpful and kind. A great quality to have in this type of business. It is a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere there.

Buffalo Trace Veterinary is a sweet, small business to take your pet to. Everyone employed there is so nice & knowledgable. We live an hour away from Versailles, Ky and would go there again. We have a cat that was involved in a bad outdoor fight in 2016 and we took him there. The vet, the vet tech & surgeon were awesome. Office personnel is awesome, also. Then, again, yesterday, the same cat, had cancerous growths removed from the tips of his ears. Once again, the same vet, vet tech & surgeon were awesome!Thank you, Buffalo TraceHighly recommendedBtw... the cat is doing just fine☆

Dropped my pup off to be fixed before I left for a trip to have another family member pick him up later. I was having the Hope center pay for part of the fix through a special fund they had set up. Normally you pay at the end of service but since I was leaving I paid before. After they finally found where the Hope center had emailed them talking about how they were sponsoring some of it, I paid for my part, $30, and left.They assured me they’d call and tell me how he was, I never received a call. They also failed to tell me that if I purchased a $9 “E-Collar” that it would help prevent infection and tearing loose his incision.Now 3 days later, my puppy is back at their clinic with a fever, infection, has lost 2 pounds, is bleeding and bruised. They told my mom when she dropped him back off that I had refused to pay for the collar, mind you this is a collar that I have no clue about, because I could not afford it. So now a $30 surgery has turned into $110+ in vet bills because a $9 collar they didn’t tell me about and lied to my mom about.My puppy also came home with blood on him and bruised around where they fixed him. When my mom called and explained those concerns, they said it was from him being so active. All the dog has done is sleep. Recently my friend had the same thing occur with her cats who were fixed here, infection and ripping of her incisions. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend Buffalo Trace to anyone!!! Pay a little extra and go elsewhere so you don’t get slammed with more unexpected vet bills because of their errors. UNFRIENDLY, UNHELPFUL, UNEDUCATED staff that have caused my poor pup to go through so much this week. What good is an affordable vet when they have no idea what they are doing?
