What a wonderful store located in Taylorsville, KY. Not only can you get their famous chalk paint and supplies but they also have many gift ideas, a hat bar where you can design your own baseball caps and some cowboy hats, a complementary coffee bar, fresh fudge, soup, pasta, bread, and dip starters and way too many items to list. I really enjoy the apple wax melts. They smell absolutely awesome. They have Goat Milk Body Lotion that has a natural bug repellent in it. The customer service lady was so sweet and answered all our questions thoroughly. She actually stayed over 1/2 hour while we shopped and didn't tell us the time and let us shop. This was above and beyond what most retailers will do for you. I can't brag about this store enough. If you've never tried chalk paint this is the place you should go for designing choices. I highly recommend this place.

I love this paint! I have used it to paint multiple items in and outside my home and have been very pleased with the results. Easy to use and is durable. The colors are great and are easy to coordinate. And a little goes a long way! If you are ever in Kentucky, stop by their store/showroom to get inspired by all the beautiful pieces shown done in their products.

If I could give no stars I honestly would. I drove with my dad and SERVICE DOG and hour and was so excited about actually trying a Kentucky proud product.Upon arrival we were thrilled with how cute and rustic the place was. We walk inside and I head straight for the bath bombs near the front door. The employee working rushed over from helping customers to RUDELY tell my father and I that my service dog wasn’t allowed in the store, my father tells her that the dog is a service dog not just a pet being brought in. She then fires back with “well he’s not wearing a vest that states it” (please see attached picture to see what his vest looks like) . We tell her that he IS in fact wearing a service vest. She decides to retort with “well it’s pink” OK AND!? I’m a GIRL I like PINK. She then goes on to tell us that we are to stay only in the front of the store that we can’t go where the food is. Service dogs are allowed anywhere, I know this. It’s a standard practice. Which bummed me out because I was actually planning on purchasing both coffee and fudge for the hour drive back home to Louisville.The lady ignored us fully after the first interaction and stayed dragging things out with the customers already in the store. It’s not until she hears my father say that we should just leave since we’re not being helped that she darts over and asks if we need anything. It’s at this time that I let her know she should read ADA law as well as Service Dog laws. She tells me that she knows them (clearly she doesn’t) and tries to touch the dog who is now in my arms to calm my heart rate. I push her hand away at that point, tell her she needs to do clear research & not touch service animals nor attempt.My father and I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Sad, I’ve never had an experience like this one. And I was honestly there to PURCHASE PAINT for my wood project. Sad that this is the review I’m leaving for this place.Do better. Service animals have the same rights as their handler because they’re there for the safety of the handler. You can clearly see in the photo that he has a service vest on.

I see a lot of negative reviews. My experience with them is all 5 stars. The trick is to actually pay attention to their videos. Don’t assume you already know how to use their products. I made that mistake the first time i used their product. Was ready to give up and buy another brand. Luckily, I went back and watched some of their videos and realized what I had done wrong! Wow!!! What a difference. Redid the bathroom cabinet and fake yellow marble countertop/sink. Love it! Working on kitchen now. Thanks Heirloom!

This shop has been on my bucket list since opening. My daughter flew us into Kentucky from Houston for a visit. I was pleased to see that the shop offers gift items at local prices, verses as tourist pricing. Clean, organized, and friendly staff.

Heirloom Traditions All-In-OneIt’s made right here in KentuckyAnyone that knows me very well knows I love to paint I didn’t like the oak/orange color cabinets after I painted blue on the walls … so I decided to try this paint out …(these cabinets are 26 years old and have no finish left on them ..they were so dry, and a few of them had to be glued and clamped back together, THEY LOOKED LIKE A HOPELESS CASE… NOW they look like they were just installed) THIS PAINT WAS FABULOUS! 20 cabinets and 6 drawers and 4 days later and just a tad bit over 1/2 gallon used …AMAZING! Here are some before and after shots. You should consider trying it..you can paint anything with it metal steel wood plastic glass even cloth yes cloth. I love the way my kitchen turned out! I love this product! My favorite project to date is the golf cart seats. I thought we were going to have to replace the seat covers because they were stained from mildew. They turned out beautifully! After drying, we set them out in the full July sun for a few hours and even sat down on them after sitting in the sun. No cracking, peeling or bubbling. Looked brand new. Sold the cart and brought top dollar! Stopping by their store in the morning as we make our way home from vacation. 😊🎉🎊

Up until now I have LOVED the paint. I received a gallon last week and right off the bat I knew something was wrong. Left messages on Sat, Mon, Tues and Wed. Not one return call from customer service. Finally connect with someone named Tracey who claimed I wasn’t stirring it properly and wants a video to send to the chemist. She said send the video and we will look at it and see if it’s user error???? I have been using this paint for 3 years, as a faux finisher with no problems. I told her this gallon was defective and her recommendation was to buy another gallon. She said that she would have the “chemist” look into it but couldn’t give me any info for the defective product. This is the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with.

I have used latex paint, my own “chalk paint”, a high end brand Chalk paint and HTP paint and this paint blows away all the rest! I have actually stripped pieces that were previously painted to do them “correctly “ with HTP. With proper preparation, education and application, this stuff is incredible! I have painted pieces for myself, my parents, my kids and am now prepping to do my kitchen cabinets. There is nothing like this on the market and I will not paint furniture with anything else. Yes, it’s that easy and amazing! Also, their gel stain is also wonderful and easy to use with excellent results!

Such a special treat today to meet Paula at the HTP studio! I have been the biggest fan of the HTP paint for several years..painting anything I could get my hands on! On my trip from Florida to Louisville this year, it was a "must see" for me to see the place where it all started! The icing on the cake was getting to meet Paula in person and one of her sweet staff people, Tracy. Paula went out of her way to spend time with us, visit with us and share with us some of her delicious fudge, that is also made there! We walked away with some other special treats from her! She makes you feel like family..truly a warm and genuine person. She's as nice as you see her in her demonstration video! Thank you, Paula, for the memorable time we spent with you! My husband and I stopped in at the store when we were on an extended weekend getaway and I’m so glad we did! I wasn’t expecting to meet the crew or to have such a good time. It was awesome! I love the paint but I loved meeting Paula, Melissa, and Tracey too! They were all so sweet and welcoming. Will definitely be making a return trip with my girlfriends!

It is so nice to go to a store and have courteous, knowledgeable employees help answer questions. Both times I’ve visited the store I have been very impressed. The store is warm and welcoming. I love seeing the painted walls and accessories using the actual paints. I was so pleased to have received discounts too. Even though I personally wanted to try using the paints, my husband took to painting our vanities. The paint went on easily and looks great!! You can’t go wrong with Heirloom Traditions Paints Co.

I loved the first purchase I made of this paint. It was thick and had great coverage. I ordered some more recently and it’s thin with terrible coverage. I’m so disappointed. No more All In One for me.

I love this paint. I bought Linen for this project so it takes more than one coat. The paint goes a long way, which is nice because it takes so much less. I used less that a quart on a table and 4 chairs. I love that they are within 20 minutes of my home. The new store is absolutely beautiful Inside and out.

I had heard a positive review from a friend while using the Heirloom grey all-in-one paint product and so I was excited to give it a try. In addition to the paint I purchased an applicator, de glossier to achieve best results (followed their best tips video). However, after the first coat I could quickly see the paint was a very uneven color showing both a white and tan. As a result, I reached out to their customer service for information about returning the product. They said they do not guarantee their product which is a red flag I should have seen originally. The most concerning part is they had no interest in understanding the lot information to investigate a potential issue in their manufacturing or storing process that could have caused the discoloration issue to begin with. I would not recommend their products to anyone.Please notice that on their review page that the page owner only responses to positive feedback.

I'm so happy Heirloom Traditions Country Store is in Taylorsville, KY! It's a quick trip for me to pick up ideas, paint, soap, candles, fudge, and more. The staff is super helpful and very knowledgeable. Recently, I decided to paint the bathroom cabinets and I'm not a painter. After watching Paula's videos and talking with the store's staff, I got the courage to give it a go. They turned out absolutely beautiful! No sanding, no priming, no sealer. So easy! Next project is to paint interior doors. That should be a breeze!

I ordered a bundle that included the sponges and their paint brushes with rollers. Do not use them! They left air bubbles the streaks. The tutorials talk about excellent coverage. After starting my cabinets it took 3 yes 3 coats! We ended up using the deglosser which is most likely windex. ( smell it ) and had to sand! Still some small textured bubbles where it didn't settle and lines from the brushes. I could have did this and maybe even better with a good house paint. Because it took so many coats, I had no choice but to order more. Here I am with my cabinet doors laying on a table 11 days and my order finally shipped. Run!! Run as fast as you can from this paint. I also received a paint that was spilling out. Thankfully it was a small amount so I didn't bother with the hassle of a return. Worst $200 spent. Next time I'll blow the money at a casino, at least that would involve fun.

The company store is amazing! In the last six months since I was there, it’s expanded and the vignettes showing the paint in different settings are fabulous. Where else can you buy amazing paint, fudge, a cocktail, and gifts? Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Overall, a great place.

I have ordered over 20 cans of paint followed instructions and recommendations on their YouTube video chan. But unfortunately I still had numerous issues with this company and their paint and especially with their customer service. The Facebook official HTP paint group admins are also very rude. They find removing you from the group a better solution than answering questions or helping with paint issues. Customer service on the phone isn’t helpful either. I’ve received multiple orders with spilled paint. Only one was replaced. The turn around for problem solving is exaggerated delayed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND because of their lack of customer service. I will be finding a better company to work with.

I honestly don’t know how all these people get great results from this paint. The Finish All was terrible paint and I regret buying it to paint my cabinets. I started off with a pantry in my kitchen to see how it would look and it wasn’t good. The paint dried so quickly that it started orange peeling if I stroked back over it with the brush, it was like glue. That leads me to the brush, which is expensive garbage. Leaves crazy stroke marks that I had a difficult time sanding down. It also holds a lot of paint so it drips all over the floor! And don’t get me started on the true applicator sponges, another waste of money.Since the paint dried so quickly when I used the true applicator it did nothing but cause more orange peeling and at one point actually pulled up my paint and primer.Contacting the company did no good, all they say is to follow what they do in their videos, which I did! I tried posting on their FB page to get feedback from others but they wouldn’t accept my post. Apparently any negative posts or pics get deleted, and that goes for their website too.I had to sand as best I could and apply real paint! I had a little better luck painting a stool with the All in One paint, it actually came out decent. If you are looking for the aged look then great, if you want the polished look for cabinets then look somewhere else because this has been an expensive and time consuming endeavor.
