I cannot thank Dr crabtree and the amazing team there enough for taking care of my dog buckeye. After being dismissed by our home vet a really scary emergency situation happened a few days later and they took all the steps to save his life.I felt so at ease and comfortable leaving him in their hands they are some of the most kind and compassionate people & truly love the animals.Thank you all for saving the best thing in my life.

Excellent Care !! One of our dogs had an emergency situation that led to seizures. They got us in immediately upon arrival & immediately evaluated Our Corgi. Every person I interacted with was friendly, caring and professional. I was truly appreciative of everyone’s compassion.There is a greater peace of mind knowing they are there for us in the future. Living in Somerset, its a quick drive to Richmond. ❤️

My momma Yorkie Lillianna was seizing and running a really high fever. We called ahead and they said to come up and said ut would be $125 to be seen. We drove an hour from Somerset hoping she would be ok. As soon as we walked in the door at 10pm she was taken right back to the treatment area. We were told how much tests and such would be, asked if we wanted CPR done if required. After a while I could hear her getting vocal in the back and laughed, I knew she was doing better. They brought her out and she immediately stopped whining. They said they had puppy formula if we needed it during the visit as we had brought our almost 2 week old puppies also in case we needed to supplement feed them. Lillianna has hypocalcemia due to feeding the puppies and gas calcium tabs until we can get the puppies weaned. Yes it was almost $800, but it's a small price to pay for your best friend. I had to split the payment between 3 credit cards but the girl at the front desk told me not to sworry, it happens all the time. She is doing awesome and the puppies are doing great.

The staff was very kind and sweet with my brothers service dog. The vet was training someone and they both were extremely kind, caring and explained everything to us step by step. They were wonderful with Harriet. I would recommend this vets office for anyone that wants someone that cares for your fur baby the way you do. They took every step to help make Harriet our Golden retriever as comfortable as possible. Thank you for your support and kindness, taking care of our baby. God Bless you

We were so thankful to have an emergency doctor near us that could treat ferrets. It didn’t take long for our drive from Georgetown to Richmond and the staff was super kind and helpful. The only downfall I believe we had was what felt like a long wait time as it seemed the emergency vet side was empty. We understood only one doctor was taking care of exotic animals at the time but would have liked a little more heads up about how long we were going to wait. Once we initially saw Dr. Crabtree, everything else went by as quick as you could expect if not quicker.

On Saturday, I had to say goodbye to my best friend. I had never been to this clinic before. I live an hour and a half away, and my regular vet was not available. My German Shepherd had been sick for awhile, and he took a turn for the worst on Friday night. We already knew we were about to make a hard decision, but we thought we had more time.When I called on Friday night, I spoke to Sam. She was so kind and compassionate. She was patient, answering all of my questions, and she reassured me that I could call at anytime. I scheduled an appointment for Zeus to be put to sleep the next day. Sam offered to come in and be with me and support me while I said goodbye. When I did go in on Saturday, Jordan, who was so kind, sympathetic, and sweet, reminded me that Sam was willing to come in and be with us, and that she was sorry for our loss. Sam really carried me through Friday night.Breanna was the vet tech on duty on Saturday. She offered to be in the room for support. She was very informative, very compassionate, and she treated my baby as if he was one of her own. She hugged me when I left, and that hug was just what I needed. She was incredible, and I don't know how we would have been able to get through this without her. Zeus, who was normally weary of strangers, was comfortable with her immediately, and that put us at ease. Breanna has such a beautiful heart, and it's obvious that she genuinely loves the animals she cares for.Dr. Conner loved on my baby as she put him to sleep. She was not only loving and comforting to my husband and I, but also to our dog. She explained the process in a sensitive manner, and she was so gentle with Zeus. She supported his head as he fell asleep, and her reassurance that this was the right thing to do, that Zeus wasn't going to be in pain, helped us tremendously.Every single person we encountered here was amazing. They treated Zeus like a king. They talked to him, gave him treats, pet on him, and treated him with the love and respect he deserved. They treated my husband and I with so much love and kindness. They treated us like we were family.Losing Zeus was the hardest thing we have ever done, but the staff made the experience much easier to deal with. I can't think of anywhere else I would want to go to say goodbye to a loving pet. When the time comes to say goodbye to my other fur babies, I will definitely return to Advanced Animal Care in Richmond.I am forever grateful for the staff, for the support, comfort, and love each and everyone of them showed me, my husband, and my big beautiful boy. There is just no way to possibly express my gratitude. Thank you so much for everything.

Both my husband and I have been associated with AAC for over 15 years. We have never had a bad experience. From saying goodbye to five of our family members, to bringing our other family members to be seen by the staff at AAC, they have always treated them with care and compassion. AAC has and will be where we bring our members to.

Not only did they help me when I brought my car sick puppy in to their office, they immediately cared for him!They are wonderful people here that have real passion and care for animals!They are now the veterinary clinic I have chosen to take car of my fur baby in the future!

On Thanksgiving night I sadly had to make the choose to put down my 17 year old cat who was showing signs of decline. I had never had to deal with that decision or gone through the process. The team of amazing vets and technicians there made the process smooth and easy. And even after I left, picking up the remains wasn’t difficult. The gift bag everything was in was so nice. I highly recommend them in any case. Even in such a sad situation, they made me feel cared for!

My sweet fur baby woke me up early this morning coughing and having difficulty breathing. She had never done this before and it scared me so much. She did it a second time. I brought her to advanced animal emergency clinic. From the moment I got there and through the entire visit everyone was so friendly. I trusted them immediately. They got her in right away. Fortunately her exam and X-rays were good. They did give her fluids and a shot for her cough. I am sure they didn’t consider it an emergency situation but never minimized the situation or made me feel that my concerns were not valid. We were in an out in under an hour. I hope I never have to come here again because it would mean my baby is sick but it is comforting to know such a great emergency clinic exists so close to home. I highly recommend them. Thank you all for taking such good care of Latte.

Last night I had to make the incredibly hard decision to have my 15-year old euthanized after a severe decline over the past couple of months. Today I woke up knowing she is in peace and is no longer suffering. The staff and Dr. K were very patient and kind. I told the staff that I wanted to do what was best for Angel, so they took her back and examined her, less than 5-minutes later Dr. K came in to discuss the options. Ultimately, we were taken to the comfort room which was extremely nice and they brought us Angel for the last time. We stayed with her the entire time and she went peacefully. Not only did they not rush us out, they let us give our final goodbyes and loves. The staff went above and beyond and gave us some hair clippings from her in small vials and took her final paw prints. After the euthanasian, I noticed they had lit a candle for departing loved ones which really meant a lot to us. While they were finishing everything, we waited in the car and they brought us our swaddled little girl and we took the two-hour drive back home. Thank you Advanced Animal Care. My experience was great! Everyone was very friendly and very helpful! Best of all they took great care of my boy Prince when he was sick and needed antibiotics to make him feel better! The price I wish had been a little more affordable. But my fur-baby was taken care of immediately and now healing and doing better! Our dog had a case of GDV. The team triaged him rapidly and did not waste any time getting him into life saving surgery. The staff's calm and confident demeanor was reassuring and we knew they were going to do everything that they could for our dog. The Dr. explained our dog's diagnosis and the surgery needed to save him thoroughly and the staff walked us through the cost breakdown so we could make an informed decision. Our dog was hospitalized for two days after the surgery and the staff was good about giving us updates and patient whenever we called and letting us visit him. They are very responsive to questions and made us very comfortable through a scary and trying ordeal.

Liz was very well taken care of during our recent visit to Advanced Animal Care. Dr. Crabtree was amazing, very caring, took her time, and oozes empathy and compassion for what she does. The only minor issue was the music late at night will lullaby you to sleep. We will definitely be back (hopefully not soon)!

This wasn’t my first emergency visit (unfortunately), but every time I have had too have been fantastic. This visit I was with Dr. Mobley(?) and I don’t remember the young techs name but both were fantastic! A perfect combination of professionalism and personal care from both guys. Even the guy (Justin?) at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The treatment for my golden, the interaction/explanation with me, I can’t say enough good about the staff here.

If I could rate this place with negative stars I definitely would… we have taken our dogs here on 3 different occasions. This very last time we took our dog there is due to her being very lethargic not wanting to eat and having diarrhea. Long story short we spent almost $900 for them to tell us absolutely nothing.” They did ultrasounds, x-ray, blood work, urine sample, stool sample” but couldn’t tell us anything to do with any of the “tests” they did, but we could leave her there overnight to figure out more for $2400 more but had to have an $1800 down payment. Wouldn’t even let us do split payment of it. From the moment that we told them we couldn’t afford it they didn’t care sent us on out way with antibiotics, steroids, and only 4 nausea medications… we had also mentioned that our dog is clearly in pain and she dead seriously said oh if she gets worse we could bring her back and they would think about helping her manage her pain… I’m no vet but I am kinda curious at what you would consider worse? DEATH?!?!?! Cause my dog has not eaten for three days now going on four also, vomiting along side of diarrhea, very lethargic, shaking. We decided we needed a second opinion…. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!

I took my cat Nikita Jade she was almost at the point to where she was dead and they did everything they could to keep her alive and I so appreciate that cuz she is my world. I want to thank everybody in that office because they were so nice and so helpful and they still are because she's been there since Saturday and every time I call to check on her they respond and tell me how she's doing I hope she gets to come home soon but they are giving her the best care that she needs. I want to thank everybody in the office for their help and they're caring position they are also nice.

I called yesterday at around 3 am. A staff member imedietly answered told us the sitution was a very severe case. Our dog needed to be seen imedietly they said "while we gather some information please head this way." The vet on site and staff were so quick to get him in treated like a human er but better and easier. Being updated every 5 minutes the process was easy. What we were expecting to be 6k dollars. Was 600 because of their quick and efficient work. Another hospital "MedVet" rejected us saying they were busy as they ate doordash food. Telling us it's going to be 3 hours. I cannot thank this group of people enough. Seriously my dog could have been dead by the time in writing this review instead he's back home and living his dream life! (Destroying are home and every piece of food in sight) thank you AAC never going anywhere else ever.

The care we received by Dr. Sears and her team that was extraordinary. They were slammed Saturday night dealing with some emergent needs. Although my dog was not the most emergent they still took care of her and in the timeliest manner they could. Took my cat in late at night for an abscess on her bottom. The hospital was extremely busy but they got her in and cared for. I would have waited all day for her to be seen. Dr Sears took amazing care of her and she is on her way to feeling better. Hopefully I won't have to but if I need care again, I would definitely come back. My late husband’s fur baby was in total decline loosing weight, not eating with shakes. Although I hated to let him go I needed to. I called, made arrangements and my daughter brought her fur brother to be examined and eventually sent to heaven. They were wonderful!

Unfortunately I had to visit the er two separate times with two different dogs with different ailments in one week. I had recently moved from NY and found them by google search. Both times I was seen right away and the staff and doctors were amazing. They took their time and explained everything fully and made sure I was doing okay with the news on one dog before I left. I couldn’t have asked for nicer people or better treatment of my fur babies.

We are from Somerset, KY and Advanced Animal Care was recommended by our vet for Emergency "Copperhead Snake Bite" treatment last Friday evening. Our Boston Terrier "Roux" got bit in her face by a very poisonous snake and my wife and I brought her to Advanced. We had called ahead and spoke with Mattie on the phone who was very concerned and caring. She was waiting on us as we walked in along with an awesome staff of technicians and Veterinary Doctors. They immediately responded with professional care to stabilize Roux and control her intense pain. They recommended the Antivenin treatment and fully explained all the steps and care she would receive. Dr. Crabtree and her awesome staff saved our dogs life and one week later Roux is strong, healthy and happy just like before. Thank you to everyone for an amazing job.Ben and Debra C.

I had called inquiring about services with them and was told by one employee that they will declaw all 4 paws but I would have to talk to them in the other building to set something up and get pricing. I called the other building and I think she said her name was Heather, was just outright rude to me over the phone. Her tone was very abrupt and belittling. Looks like they won't be a vet I'll take any of my animals too. It's a shame too because I know someone that works there and she was the reason I was going to move over there. I can't believe she works with such rude people!
