My experience was very good. The young man that was very helpful and knowledgeable in what I needed. I was buying a fish tank and he helped me with what size and size of pump i needed.He was very Nice, friendly and welled mannered The young lady that checked me out was very helpful and helpful in answering all my questions about my purchase. I am well satisfied with my experience.

Absolutely love shopping here. They are the only place that carries my dogs food. The prices are very reasonable.

Aquariums were not kept up to standard, dead fish stuck to the filter.Small selection of live plants for Aquariums.Unable to pet any of the live animals.There appeared to only be 2 people working and one acted like they really didn't want to be there.An absolute atrocity of a pet store.

It would be a great place to build a pet store.I just need some flea and tick treatment for my puppy. I had a few questions, but when I went looking for help, I saw there was a line. I asked the checker "would you please call someone to help me with the flea treatments?" She smiled, nodded, said mmhmm, and so I walked back to the aisle to wait.And waitAnd wait.I figured out my answers on my own. And waited.I would have bought the product, but it's in a locked shelf, and when I went to ask again for help, I couldn't find anyone.

Multiple visits with no or very limited saltwater critters. Manager says “ick and velvet problem”. From experience, ick and velvet doesn’t last for months. Manager doesn’t know when banking holidays are so he just stops accepting cash because he can’t get change. Pallets left on the floor blocking emergency exit corridors thru the store. This store has an incompetent manager who I have personally talked to conveying the problems and he only has excuses rather than taking actions to fix the problems that could ultimately impact lives. I’m not risking my life by going back.

Update: It is still very hard to get service. There were only 2 employees working the store on the 1st. We all know that is the busiest day of the month. I knew there would be a wait. However, after asking for assistance from an employee and then the employee helping everyone except those of us at the aquariums it became more frustrating. After 30 minutes of being avoided we asked again (as he was finishing up with another customer that had just entered the store) I was told it would be another minute but he then went and helped 2 other people that had just walked into the store. After another 15 minutes we all decided to go to the Whitesburg pet store in the future as they are friendly and very helpful. Their prices are better too. :-)It is kind of hard to get service at this location. It seems maybe they are understaffed or trained to avoid customers. They do have healthy pets though and are a nice novelty store to bring your pet to for pampering and treats.

I've never had anything bad to say about customer service at this particular store until I met the manager. He was rushed in helping me get crickets and tried to sell about 40 off as 75. I understand stores like this can get busy, but that's no reason to compromise the quality of service you provide. Hopefully he was just having a rough day, if not, this company needs to find someone more qualified to oversee their store.

The associate was very nice and knowledgeable about the products and the checkout was fast. He told us about the app and how we could use in the store to check the prices of the items if a sticker was not on them for the price. He told us a lot of useful information about our birds and fish.

It was great ! My babies are always welcome there and they're so friendly to them so that will always work to their advantage lol. It did seem a little unorganized and kind of messy with not as big selection this last time but I'm sure they were probably working on the seasonal changes. I will be going back. We love this store.

Went in and me and my mother wanted to buy a baby bearded dragon and we asked an employee about it and told her since it was a baby we wanted something a little smaller to accommodate our tank space until we could find the right one to fit our tank space the employee got very annoyed with us and started boldly stating that we could not have a smaller enclosure because it needs room to climb so we picked up the tank that we were talking about than she changed it up stating that it would not work because they need room to move and kept insisting that we buy a 300 dollar tank and set up for a baby bearded dragon that didn’t look to be an inch long and proceeded to tell me and my mother that she would not sell us a bearded dragon unless we have proper housing my sister in law is a vet and has owned more than three bearded dragons so we knew for sure the enclosure we wanted was okay for a baby bearded dragon and they refused to sell us the baby bearded dragon so we left very angry and I was very very upset because that was all I wanted.

The store is really clean and lacks the typical pet store smell. The reptile tanks are always well maintained, especially for a chain store. Most all the fish I have bought from here have been healthy with the exception of one betta who looked on the brink of death that I bought as a rescue that I failed to rescue. They could use some more staff however, but they stay kinda busy so I understand the occasional wait.

The employees there are very nice and helpful. Any problem I ever had, they address and fixed it. An items ticket wasn't removed after the sale ended, but they still honored the price before removing the sale tag. Very ethical and professional

I have just been trying to get a pair of bearded dragons started for my daughters. All they asked for for Christmas and new years. I used to raise breed and sell them as well as several other reptiles amphibians and arachnids. I have purchased 3 from this store, 2 have died within 24 hours. Temperature, humidity, etc have all been taken care of since day 1. I don't know if they just got a bad batch of lizards or what but I've never had this problem in 26 years of taking care of reptiles.

Not really stocked up for a large chain pet store. Not much tortoise supplies. I was disappointed to drive that far and not be able to get much for my Sulcata. May be better to order online than to go there.

Very nice pet and supply store. The employees are very professional, courteous and helpful. Fish tanks are very well kept and fish are healthy. If you're into lizards and birds they have them to. Loads of supplies to pick from for your favorite pet !!!👍😎

Service is so slow! They should have someone working specifically with the aquatic animals. It has taken me over 30 minutes every time to even begin to get help! And then takes forever to get things done! I believe they should staff the store better! They do have a variety of pets, and some employees seem very knowledgeable... but the slowness kills me lol!Also, lots of fish always under observation. I do see why they would quarantine for a outbreak but it's always up.With that said I still shop here, but there definitely could be improvements!!!

Purchased a kitty condo/tree online at PetCo website. It stated it could be returned to any store if not satisfied. My husband took the item to return it as it was wobbly and unsteady when our cat got on it. Before he packed the item inside the store to attempt to return it, he went inside to see if they were accepting returns yet (COVID-19). He was assured by an employee that he could bring it in & return it. When he went out to the car & got it then took it in, a different employee explained that he could go ahead & pick another item out if he just wanted to exchange it, so he did. By the time he did that, another employee ended up being at the counter. This employee sought out a manager who informed him that due to corporate policy, returns in store are still not being accepted. So, total waste of time & energy. I guess we'll just keep calling everyday to see when they decide to take their merchandise back so that we don't miss that 60 day window we are permitted to return the item in for a full refund. And we'll buy our pet supplies elsewhere.
