I’m giving this place one star, and normally I’m not the kind of person who leaves horrible reviews or is a “Karen” as the expression is these days. But, this morning at a little past 6 AM, my fiancé and I stopped into this store to grab some quick snacks on our way home. The man behind the counter had a red shirt on, had slicked back hair and kinda looked like he was really irritated and ticked off. Anywho, we get our food, and a case of soda and walk up to the counter and this employee was really polite at first, until my fiancé stated that we would paying for our groceries with EBT/ food stamps. Then his attitude began to change.He simply replied “uhh ok whatever” in the rudest tone I’ve ever heard from anyone working in the service industry and literally rolled his eyes at us. After we politely paid and started to walk out, I heard him murmur this statement under his breath, “if I have to work for it, so do you buddy”!! I shot him a dirty look as I walked out, I’ll gladly admit that. I’ve worked in the service industry on and off for my entire working career. During that time I’ve never encountered such attitude and disgust from someone. If I’m paying with food stamps or EBT or anything else, it shouldn’t have been any of his business. He’s getting paid regardless, it’s perfect legal tender so why does he care?? I’m honestly appalled. I’ve been trying to call the store to talk to management but the phones must not be working. This employee needs to be dealt with, immediately in my humble opinion. This is horrible!! Needless to say, I’m just gonna go to the store downtown from now on.

When I lived near by this Double Kwik, I stopped there almost daily for something. Food, gas, tobacco and so on. The prices were on par with other places, and for the longest time, it was the only place I would get gas because it always seemed to be a few cents cheaper.Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but it always seemed like a nice, clean and friendly place to me. But, if that's the case, then a lot of things have changed.It wasn't very clean, inside or out. My last few exchanges with the cashiers didn't go well either. They looked like it was the last place on earth they wanted to be, you were the last person on earth they wanted to interact with, and came through unhindered.No hi, can I help you, no smile or interaction at all. Their attitude, carried over to how they treated customers. It's as if they hated you and did the very minimum in taking your money. Combine that with the not so clean inside, and very dirty outside, it was a very unwelcoming stop, on several occasions. I eventually stopped going and found another place to go.I guess if you're in a pinch and need gas or something, you could run in pay for whatever and just get out, but who wants to go to a place where you feel unwelcomed, it's not very clean and was looking rough.

You better enjoy cigarettes seems like every time you stop at this location the smoking party of 4 workers are standing in the doorway smoking. They just stand there blocking the door. A couple of them has to be management black shirts or whatever, you can say excuse me to get by and they act like it’s a chore they have to move. I would think the smoking laws in KY would address the distance they need to be from a public entrance. As far as the employees behind the counter they seem great but the smoking 4 needs addressed

Anything you need in a convenient store, and the handmade and deli items are always fresh. They make amazing food! Also, they have a terrific coffee and cappuccino selection. Don't forget to get a punch card because every 6th coffee is FREE!

The service is okay, but the men's restroom was a mess. Toilet paper all over the floor and both stalls were out of toilet paper. I wonder why? Definitely needs to be cleaned and stocked up better.
