I've been to countless mom and pop restaurants all over the country, and few ever get 5 stars from me, but Dorsie's is a rare gem.No frills, just straight forward good comfort food, like your mom or grandma made for you, when you were not in the best mood and needed a pick-me-up.Ordered a cheeseburger with the works, onion rings, and a Pepsi, was not let down in the slightest.If I ever come back to Pikeville, I will most definitely be coming back, my only regret, is that I went to Dorsie"s my last day here.5⭐

Staff was friendly, food was awesome and reasonably priced. As we ate we noted that the staff was really taking good care of the cooking area, cleaning and maintaining. we were actually pretty impressed by their diligence to maintain a clean space despite being very busy. So props to those ladies! I don't know their names but am giving the staff my best 👍. Great Job, thanks for the service!

Great prices good burgers and the BEST onion rings in town! I love this place and the people who work there are radiating a sweet kindness that makes you feel welcome. If you are in the area it is worth the stop.

My Dorsie's experience was a pretty typical dairy bar experience. Service was good. The burger was ok, but not the best dairy bar burger I've had. Neither the burger or fries were as greasy as a lot of similar places. I would gladly eat here again.

Good food, SLOWLY. I don't know if I'll return or not. The upside is Dorsie's had one of the better hot dogs in the area. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying The Best, like the sign in their window, but very good. However, they are SLOW. Nobody gets in a hurry at Dorsie's. The reason there's a lot of people there all the time is because they are waiting for their food. So if you don't mind waiting for 20 minutes for a hot dog and a Coke, give them a try. If you've got 30 minutes for lunch, keep driving...

Cheap menu and good ice cream in a vintage setting and building. The downsides are they doing accept cards and only have two main flavors of ice cream. Don't let this discourage you, they add toppings and things in their shakes and sundaes.

This is a nice little ice cream shack that is very popular with locals. They have a large variety of fast/drive-in type food, milkshakes, and ice cream desserts. The food/dessert quality is pretty good, it's really cheap, and you get a lot of food for the price, which makes for a good value. The service could be a little friendlier.

Best slaw dog I've ever had! love the small hometown feel you get from standing around hearing the locals talk. Ladies are always nice even when their line is long. Love this place!

I wanted chocolate and vanilla soft serve, unfortunately they only had vanilla. Very limited selection of food and no indoor seating. Dairy Cheer up the road has way more to offer, really great food plus indoor seating. Prices are comparable too!

If you’re wanting good food and nostalgia, you got to come here! Dorsie’s as got a heaping amount of options such as hotdogs, hamburgers, corn dogs, milkshakes, etc. Now they are pricey but you definitely get your money’s worth. This place is basically a historical landmark for Pikeville. There hours are a little different, they close at 5:30 instead of 6:00.

My wife is from the area and always talked about how good the food here was. Well I actually tried it this week and it did not disappoint! I had to go back a second time later that week. This will definitely be a regular stop when we're visiting.

Gotta love Dorsie's! Potential downfall is that they still do not accept credit/debit cards. Cash only. However, I enjoy this. It's a throw back to yesteryears. Their hot dogs and Dorsie's burgers are sooooo good. The price is very very reasonable and you won't be disappointed.

Love the footing hot dogs, homemade chili, coleslaw, and chocolate shakes. I worked there 2 summers during high school for my Uncle Earl Fields. Still go there whenever I'm in Pikeville, KY.

An old fashioned drive up, order at the window dairy bar. Such a special treat. Love the homemade chili, Cole slaw, hotdogs, cheeseburgers. Buns steamed the old fashioned way. You'll not be disappointed!

Good food , pretty fast on your orders. A plus is that their burgers and such aren't as greasy as a lot of fast food places.
