Some lady was just parked in the drive thru, not moving, to the point that they were sending the RUDEST lady to walk to other cars and collect money/do orders, and then she would have people back up out of the drive thru. She was horrible at backing people out to the point that I just ignored her and did it myself. No logic at all in having the entire line move around one car, when the car could have pulled up.

OH MY GOD!!! We need one of these back where we live. Talk about a small quaint place to eat. GREAT prices and Delicious food. Let's see, DID NOT get food poisoning. Uh, FOOD WAS HOT AND DELICIOUS! That's for those bogus negative reviews. We came yesterday before the Vanilla Ice concert and I got the smasher burger. A smashed burger with a bacon cheese sauce. DELISH!! Wife got a basic Bacon Cheeseburger. Both hit the spot for a low price. We hit the road this morning and had such a great time the day before we stopped before heading back to Knoxville. I got the Steak and Cheese omlette. LAWD HAVE MERCY!!! SO good! Way better than say IHOP or Dennnys! A basic, but beyond, home cooked breakfast. Wife got a ridiculously large breakfast of home made biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs, and apples. The gravy was to die for. It was called The One and Only Breakfast. If we are ever back this way we are definitely eating here again!!!!Parking: Plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: It's not a bar, soooo..... MILKSHAKES AND ICE CREAM!

I hate to do this but it is what it is.This place has always been one of my favs…Went in today to get my usual 2 hotdogs with everything and I was disappointed with the quality of the food.The dogs were not very warm and were very messy. The prep was a mess.Not sure I will be back…

Found this place on Google looking for burgers in Pikeville while we were staying there and decided to give it a try, Happy we did. Had a Smashburger, Onion Rings, and a shake. Everything tasted great. Obviously a place the locals enjoy and very friendly. Reminds me of the drive ins when I was growing up, Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We moved here from outta state, and live close to this location. It's become our favorite place to eat! The service is always great, our order is always correct and the quality of the food and the menu options are top notch. Tonight we went for dinner and my boyfriend wanted to add an egg to his burger, which is his absolute favorite from home, and not many places will do it. They happily did it! He LOVED it and declared this his favorite place to eat hands down here.

Restaurant was in poor repair and not all that clean. Not enough staff on hand to deal with the line of customers. Tried the "smashburger" which was just a grill-fried plain burger with lettuce and tomato. Nothing remarkable. Still wondering what a "smashburger" means. Onion rings would have been great if the oil had been fresh. This place needs help.

My husband and I have driven by this restaurant that claims to be the home of the smashburger many times and on a road trip to the Blenko Glass factory, we decided to give it a try. The very first thing I noticed was how frigid cold it was. It was like the a/c was going full blast The young woman that took our order at the counter was surly and acted like she would rather be anywhere but taking orders at the Dairy Cheer. Our food arrived very fast - almost too fast to have been cooked fresh! The burgers were okay - not bad, not great - but they definitely were not smashburgers and definitely not cooked when ordered. The onion rings were delicious, but reminded me more of onion straws than onion rings. The French fries were really bad and even a lot of ketchup and salt could not make them palatable. My husband's unsweet tea was anything but unsweet - a cardinal sin to him (he's from "up North"). We both agreed that we were glad we tried this place; it satisfied our curiosity. But, we wouldn't eat there again

We was craving a smashburger and onion rings! We ate inside and as we were leaving I got some of the best ice cream ever black rasbery Cheesecake! If you are like me and like sweets especially creamy sweets then you must try their ice cream I love it!!!Parking: There's plenty parking and it's always free.Kid-friendliness: They have always had a game or two up in the front I think it was the claw they had this time for kids to try and win a stuffed animal or something plus they have ice cream for the kids to see and pick out which one they wantWheelchair accessibility: This place is easy for wheelchairs to get in and out its all level and at the door you don't have to step up

I had lunch at Dairy Cheer a couple of weeks ago. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The food was good, exactly the type of food you'd expect from this sort of place. There was a large, and loud, group there at the same time, so that was a bit annoying. The restaurant can't be blamed for that, though. I will definitely be going back.

I LOVE Dairy Cheer! Hands down, the best selection of ice cream/milkshakes and diner/fast food in the area. The footlongs are legendary, as are the onion rings, and if you go through the drive thru with your dog,they offer a pup cup. How sweet is that? Help support small businesses by #shoplocal

We did not leave Dairy Cheer cheerfully. They advertise smash burgers. The burgers were frozen patties with smashed buns. The smasharue was supposed to have bacon cheese sauce—I anticipated at least artificial bacon bits. There were flecks of red inside a watery cheese spread. The corndog was a State Fair brand corndog wrapped in a paper bag like you get at a gas station. The fries had no salt and were not done. The batter on the onion rings was soggy and didn’t cling to the onions. You had to go through the kitchen to get to the restroom. It was quite smokey from the excessive frying in the restaurant. We did not try the ice cream. Locals raved about it.

Okay, I read all the reviews and seen that they only had a hand full of people that complained about the food. I mean the place has a 4.1 star rating. In town for business and I always support local restaurants, so I picked Dairy Cheer base on the reviews. My food was so disgusting that it was not eatable. Onion rings were not onion rings, the breading was pretty much gone, very flaky and so greasy and nowhere near having a good smell. The hotdog had chili, slaw, mustard and cheese, 1 bite, and the taste was like very old chili, a rubber hotdog and you could tell by the smell and taste it was very very old. Crinkle fries was a joke and barely warm, only thing that was good was the bottle water and fountain drink.Dear OwnerYou have a great product and brand, you need to spend some money and get the place up to date, cleaned and presentable. You need to invest more time in training the employees on how to actually cook the food correctly and to take pride in the food they are serving. If you Dont make changes you will lose your business not because of competition but because of poor leadership. I truly hope you make some changes, positive changes. They only reason why I gave it 2 stars was because the ladies working drive thru were very polite, patient and helpful. Please clean this store up and invest in your company and people more.

I was excited to try this place while driving through Pikeville, as I had heard good things from friends, but I was forced to question my friends' taste when I received a burger that was simultaneously cold and overcooked, and a peanut butter shake with an unpleasant taste that is hard to describe, but definitely did not taste like peanut butter. Don't let this place's retro charm lure you in. They seem to be quite heavy on style and equally light on substance.

An absolute local cultural icon.... ANYONE who is in the same city as this incredible restaurant (Pikeville, KY) is URGED to try a Smashburger and a Tangerine Swirl!! Haha.

Overpriced and just plain disappointing. Burgers were over cooked, lukewarm, and appeared to be made out of frozen burger patties instead of what a “smashburger” is supposed to be. Fries were ok. Peanut butter shake tasted off more butterfinger than peanut butter. Two reg combos and small shake ended up being $25. Really wanted to like this place but very disappointed

Food is always great. Great place to eat the grub. But don't get in no hurry to get it. Used to be good all around. Some of the ice cream was FREEZER BURNT! some of the flavors listed on the menu didn't even have. Hit and miss..?
