Many years ago I purchased the commemorative pink halters and lead shanks which were used in the Derby for the mares and fillies in honor of breast cancer. That halter still looks fabulous and I am ready to order a few more for the boys outstanding quality and service a great American company

I have had a very difficult time keeping a halter on my three year old Friesian. I tried expensive ones on the theory that they would last longer, and inexpensive ones on the theory that I could buy more of them. Either way, within a week the name plate would be dangling and after two weeks I would need to start using the duct tape. Based on the reviews I decided to try the modestly priced Quillin halter. After three months, the halter is still in excellent shape. The name plate is firmly attached, nothing has broken, and the halter still looks great. I wouldn't have thought it possible! I cannot imagine ever buying another brand of halter.

I discovered Quillin's leather halters after touring some of the top Thoroughbred breeding farms in Lexington. I remarked on the beautiful halters and brass name plates and asked a local where they got them. The response was "probably Quillins". I have since ordered a number of halters. The leather halters made by Quillins are far superior- and far cheaper- than those I have ordered in the past from national brand tack stores, or any carried in my local tack stores. The brass name plates are in a completely different class than the chintzy ones you get from big box tack stores. Theirs are thick and the engraving is deep! Order one halter from Quillins (for about 2/3 what you would pay elsewhere) and I guarantee- you will never buy a halter from anywhere else again! They are REALLY that good!
