Hands down. This is the best place for anything hardware. The staff is insanely friendly and helpful, and creates a fantastic shopping experience. Chuck is my favorite, he is probably one of the most knowledgeable locksmiths I have ever met and just a great guy.

Anytime we need a tool or elusive sized nut/bolt/washer we head to Hanks in Lone Oak. They even have a Post Office inside which is super convenient. I've never had a bad experience with anyone who works there. GREAT local business!

Since the first day Hanks opened in Lone Oak I have be a faithful customer. They always had very knowledgeable and helpful employees. this along with an excellent variety of inventory. Because of this, I and others use to patronize and shopping here. Over the last year or so there has been a complete reversal of these qualities. It seems they have a limited inventory, and no one seems to be interested in helping you or know about the products. The small store I know has to work extra hard to compete with the large box stores but because of these problems I now have been visiting Lowes and Home Depot much more.

Just needed to drop off a package at their mailing station. Already paid for, already labeled, ready to go. It was 11:58 when I came in. I asked the lady at the register when they stopped taking packages, as the lights in the mail area were out. Her reply was, "12:00". I just stood there looking at her. Really....

When I had new keys cut at the Lone Oak HBs, the salesman said I could get my money back if they didn't work. They didn't.When I tried to get a refund, the owner(?) - old man in back of store - was condescending and rude and flatly refused to honor the promise his employee made. He didn't even pretend to be polite.He saved his precious $20, but lost my business and my respect.For full account of incident, see their fb page - I posted there as well.

This is a large and well stocked hardware store. Perhaps the best feature is the friendly and helpful staff. You can always find someone to help in locating an item or getting advice. They also offer a variety of specially repair services.

Personal help at a family owned hardware store.... you can't get that anywhere else and I am so happy that it is only a mile from the house and It will always be a go to place. Ccw friendly and pet friendly as well and some items they have you won't find anywhere else!!!!!

Simply put. If they cannot find what you need or help you with what you need they will tell you who/where you need to go to complete your project. This store also has a fully functional Post Office for your convenience!

Needed brass bar stock and solid brass fasteners. They had it all! I had someone greet me at the door and stay with me till everything was found. You dont get that over the internet!
