Pet Smart is a great pet store ! We like the selection of dog toys and treats available. There's a great adoption area with very friendly felines and the guinea pigs are too cute! The birds are beautiful and the fish selection is amazing! There's a groomer inside as well as a pet vet if needed.

5 dollars for some night crawlers and they aren’t only dead but rotten and molded into the container. Drove 45 minutes to my fishing spot and opened it up to not a single damn worm. I wait 30 minutes everytime I’m in the store on crickets to the point I gotta just get them myself. Workers standing around on there phone when they could be helping people. Garbage. Won’t have my business again.

After having my dogs grooming appointment cancelled 3 times in a 2 months span, my labradoodle went in looking like one dog, and came out another. There are quite a few spots that the groomer missed. Seems like there might've been a better course of actiom than just shaving it all off....For $130+ kind of expected more ....

I wouldn’t normally use a big box store for pets. I did for my kids this Christmas.I just couldn’t be any happier with Elizabeth. She was so wonderful and knowledgeable about this fish and reptiles. Pet smart is very lucky to have her. My kids are lucky too!

I got pets, so I love this place! Especially for my Beardie, Olli! The people seems to know what they are talking about. My fav is Will, he cared for my OLLi before I got her so I made him the GOD FATHER of my Beardie.

Nice store . Prices about average. They were sold out of a lot of fish . They definitely need to increase the inventory of pets . Maybe lower inventory because it's the Holidays and everyone is buying or maybe it's the pandemic who knows... Really pretty bird in there . It definitely looks exotic..

Manager was super rude about price check, the bin of dog beds was clearly marked 33 bucks but scans at 59.I asked what the policy is and she rudely says "we are not going to sell it to you at that price regardless of policies" and as I walked away said something under her breath. I was friendly the whole time. Then the cashier was rude about taking it off. When I went to take pictures of the product tagged at 33 dollars the manager quickly started ripping the tags off. Hmm.

Ignore snoopy Goldens review. I was outside and heard them screaming and yelling out of anger, getting smart with the staff (could hear all of this outside of the salon), and watching them hit their dog cause they were mad they wouldn't stop barking. Staff are amazing and show they genuinely care for the animals that walk into the salon/store.

I would NOT recommend using their grooming services UNLESS you happen to be in the market for a couple of bad attitudes…. if so, Harlie and Brandon are the groomers for you! ☺️ The day of my appointment I completed pre check-in on the PetSmart app. I also confirmed the appt with Brandon when he called that morning to see if I could come earlier bc they had several cancellations/no-shows. Alas, Nicholasville Road traffic got the better of me and I arrived a few minutes late to my appt. I walked in and immediately apologized for being late. Instead of replying or acknowledging me, Harlie and Brandon ignored me (neat!) and immediately walked to the back of the grooming area. After standing and whispering to each other for several minutes while taking occasional stony glances in my direction (comfortable!) Harlie came to inform me that she would no longer groom my dog bc I arrived late. This, of course, was in spite of the fact that they had all those aforementioned NO-SHOWS and CANCELLATIONS which resulted in her standing there with NOTHING TO DO. I apologized again for being late and told her I was a little confused - why would she refuse the appt when she had nothing else to do? Fun fact: the grooming dept is open until 9:00 and my 5:00 appt was their last appt of the day… if you do the math (and it was a struggle, but I did! 😅) that equals 4 whole hours of time. So how should one spend said 4 whole hours of time? Should one find it in their heart to do the job they were hired to do and honor a twice confirmed scheduled appointment (despite a slightly late arrival) OR should one say, “To heck with this job I was hired to do! I’m gonna make this person and their cute but (admittedly) disheveled dog pay for the sins of those who dared to no show earlier today!!!!” Alas, in this Choose Your Own Adventure, the latter option is the adventure Harlie and Brandon chose. 😞 But what a time the three of us had! What with all of the stony stares, lack of eye contact, and overall outrageously rude attitudes. Our time together was brief, but meaningful. ☺️☺️ Harlie, I hope you enjoyed your well-earned 4 hours of paid freedom and chose to invest that time wisely in the pursuit of an attitude adjustment, or better yet, a complete personality overhaul. Thank you both for being so incredibly generous with your bad attitudes. You could have kept them to yourselves, but instead you chose to generously impart them on me, a paying customer, and for that I will always be grateful. It is your complete lack of grace and kindness that I will cherish most!

My wife dropped our golden off for the basic bath package and furminator add on. The salon staff was very unfriendly and said almost nothing to her during the drop off process. At pick up the same staff was short and unfriendly. Not answering questions appropriately and not talking to her. And $80 later after paying $30+ extra for special brushing, our pups ears look oily, with mats behind both and it seems there was little to no sanitary trim as the hair around her butt looks the same and the paw trim seems mediocre at best with the hair long spots still on each paw.I have had great friendly experiences with the salon at Hamburg location in years past with my old dog. Very disappointed my wife had this one. Absolutely will not be taking our sweet girl back.

This review is specifically for the dog training area. Both of my puppies have gone through the basic training course here and I have to say it has been incredible. The trainers are great. They work very well with the dogs. They schedule makeups if there is a class your can’t make. They are very knowledgeable about what they are teaching. I am very happy with the classes offered.

Sells sick animals from a large mill supplier. We got a baby parakeet from there who died after just a few days, and I'm a very experienced bird owner.I had to do some extensive research to find out who the supplier is because it is such a horrible place that won't tell you. If someone sells you an animal but can't tell you where it came from, that's a huge red flag.I loved that baby bird so much and now all I have left is memories and ashes. The Banfield there has some very kind vets and other staff members, and they were very helpful. The only time I will ever step foot in that horrible place again is when I have it in me to go thank the kind Banfield staff for helping me with my sweet baby and easing the blow of his death.

The lady over reptiles was very rude. Went to purchase a bearded dragon an was told that he was coded . The reptile in question seemed perfectly healthy last night at closing . Of course they can become ill at anytime. I questioned his whereabouts an was told that he was coded. Confused what that meant I was told right away that he was taken to the back. Wasn’t really given an explanation. She really didn’t seem remorseful an really negative about him being ill. I hope that he gets the care he needs an isnt being sought after by “Karen”.

The Store over all has a Great selection and lots of different toys, treats, and more to choose from. All the staff is usually pretty nice but i just had an awful experience with the grooming. I scheduled my dog with a lady named Madison M because we recently worked with her before about six months ago. When i got there, a different lady took my dog and it wasn’t the girl that we had seen previously or the one that we signed up for. My dog has short hair and doesn’t need a lot of grooming so we go maybe twice a year. I do most at home but my dog has never had any issues with people EVER. She is great with children of all ages and I’ve had groomers usually say she does the best. Well, about 30 minutes into my dogs appointment- i get a call from the groomer asking if i can come pick my dog up early because she BIT her…? I said what?! My dog, and everyone who knows her, knows she is the sweetest thing with people. Prior to the appointment, when we were checking in, i mentioned that my dog does not like the crate and i don’t know why that’s the only issue she has about grooming but she has never BIT ANYONE and never a groomer. She said that my dog bit her when she put her in the crate. I went to pick her up and noticed blood on my dogs paws in multiple spots. I tried to keep my cool because my dog did in fact bite her- but she failed to mention it was because she cut her nails too short. She said that it was when she was putting her in the crate… but not just one nail was short but THREE NAILS. The Frist attached image is the worst one. My poor pup keeps licking her paws because it hurts …. Will not be returning to groomers. I can do it myself and not cut my dogs nails too short. Staff needs to be retained on nail cutting for sure.

I took my mini aussie here for a bath and full haircut with Furminator. The staff was nice and took the time to ask questions, etc. It took about 4 hours. She was happy and excited to see me when I arrived to pick her up, and overall she looked great, smelled great, and was soft as a cloud! I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons: she had loose hair on her from the haircut, there was a knot behind her ear that I would’ve expected they cut out, and once I got home and started petting her I noticed several long hairs that were missed in the cut and she still had quite a bit of hair coming out when I ran my fingers through. A few minutes of brushing her got most of it out (see picture), but since I had booked the Furminator add-on I expected her to be relatively shed-free for at least a couple of days. Going forward, I would just book the regular bath and haircut to save some money. Overall, I had a good experience and would book here again since the price is more affordable than most other groomers in the area.

We decided to get the nails trim, I had tripped over our dog and gave him a small pat on his face saying sorry buddy, the lady or I should teenager said stop hitting the dog or you will not welcome back I said if you don’t know the difference between a pat and a smack you should really learn I will never take my dogs there again, I normally take them to there vet to get things done it’s a lot more trust. I said don’t worry I will never come back here again. FYI holywood feed is Awsome and Banks veteran is Awsome

I really liked it. They didn't have as many animals in, but that's understandable due to the current situation. They had everything I was looking for, however, and the layout was easy to navigate. The enployees were very helpful and nice as well.

I get most of what I need here for my two cats. Sometimes they have the items in stock, but others no like the water filters.We got to enjoy the bearded dragons last visit we were in!

Variety of animals, fish, lizards, spiders,scorpions, hamsters, chinchillas, birds,turtles, snakes, Guinea pig, ect. I love the shelter animals that they get but sadly it's mostly just cats and kittens. They have great supplies for every pet need. The help there is awesome the adoption days are the best. Pet vet, pet groom and pet training available awesome. My favorite pet store

Everyone is very nice here. Products are always on shelf's and animals are well kept. I do wish they could keep staff, I come here frequently and see too many new faces. Maybe that's more at a mom and pop place but otherwise it's a great store
