Plants arrived alive and in great shape, with lots of roots! 1 day shipping was excellent. Can't wait to see it all thrive! Very happy with my purchase. The picture is about a day of plants being planted.Some plants were acquired elsewhere. Not all of them came from Dustin but I'll will be purchasing from him from now on.

don't mind the dirty glass, I dont fight algae, it's snail food. and if algae can compete with my plants and not starve them, it deserves its place in the tank.that said Dustin's top 5 most pissed off fish includes Barbs, and Red Tail black sharks. this tank is 18 black ruby barbs, 7 green tiger barbs, and a single tiger barb with the oddest spot instead of stripe. my Redtail is the centerpiece.they live so well together, this is the second time I've kept this combo. the first time was 6 each, tiger, albino, green, and 12 black ruby's, with a red tail shark. the shark balances the barbs and ironically it works out.the key is good food and plenty of if. to balance that waste you need plants. plenty.I've bought plants online from ALL the big ones. Dustin's is superior and has ended the search for a great plant source. I'm addicted to tanks and keep getting more so it's nice to not wonder where now.

I believe this is my second review but I have to throw this out there. If you want great, healthy, and lush plants, order from Dustin's. My first order was great so I went back. Not disappointed. My first order had a bonus, and my second had, what looks like, two bonus plants. The greens are healthy and lush and the reds so vibrant with a healthy root system. Delivery was quick. I live in Northern New England and appreciate they wait until the weather is adequately warm. Thank you again, Dustin and team!

I ordered a bunch of plants from here based on the positive reviews and I’ll be placing a second order real soon! These plants are healthy, gorgeous, snail-free (the company does include a disclaimer that some hitchhikers can happen, but mine were all clean when I rinsed them!). I expected the plants to arrive melting or just not happy, but they were packaged and shipped with SUCH care! I’m floored. Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you for my gorgeous plants and for the descriptions on your page and instructions on what to do with the roots depending on how they arrived (potted vs not) to help us newbies out! I’m new to plants and haven’t had great experiences with my purchases elsewhere but now I’ll be sticking with Dustin’s Fishtanks!

2/4 of the plants I ordered didn’t make it. I emailed right after my order because the heat pack I ordered was not activated so the package was ice cold when it arrived. Pretty sure the cold weather shocked them. The response was “hopefully it was a freak accident” at the time because I said they weren’t frozen solid, or dead at the time. 😔

Absolutely fantastic quality place. Plants came in alive and happy. Very well packaged. One day shipping (as I don’t live out West US). Included instructions on how to clean plants and contact information. Plenty of cuttings per plant that I bought. Will definitely buy through here again :)

I ordered his sexy red package of plants that he picks. I cant say enough about the quality and quantity I received. Great band for your buck! His passion for aquarium plants puts his store one of the best in the nation IMO. I do wish he could either work with a local fish store or be able to have his own store front tho. I also wish he sent a list of names of the plants so I can research a little more about them. But still his plants are the bomb!!

I ordered several plants from Dustin and WOW! I'm a newbie at this but I've ordered other plants from a different vendor and they are not as big or as beautiful as what I received from Dustin's Fishtanks. He said I would get a "handful" of hornwart, but it was a HUGE handful. I had enough to put in 3 tanks! The Ludwigia and Alternanthera Reinecki are stunning! A beautiful shade of red. Oh and I had a surprise freebie...the last pic. Dustin, what is it? 😁Check out his YouTube channel and you will understand why they are gorgeous! He knows what he is doing and it shows in the quality of his merchandise. TANK ON!

I finally tried Dustin's plants and they are beautiful!! I don't have a lot of extra money lying around and that's WHY I choose Dustin's plants from now on. I am already on my second order one week after getting the first. The plants were WET when I got them, and they were full and pretty, just like the pics on his website. The true test was putting them in the tank... Still perfect today. A few leaves were broken, but that is to be expected. In a world where plants come broken, wilted, half-dead or DEAD, or they die after placing them in your tank, this is a lovely surprise! I have bought from Amazon, eBay and several other independent sellers on Google. I literally have ONE plant that is living out of all of them! I was told by Lucas Bretz that most sellers use farms and the plants aren't even grown properly in water and that's why they don't transfer well into tanks. Anyhoo, this is a long review but I wanted to say how very blessed I feel to have found this sweet spot for AWESOME plants!! It's been a week and I've only had to cut a few dead leaves!!! I'm amazed. I knew they would be great because I follow Dustin and Josh on YouTube, and there sure isn't anything better than to sit back and see how much happier my fish are with all this gorgeous covering around them!! Not to mention how beautiful my tanks look even moreso now. I fully, 100%, will be a loyal customer and so should you if you know what's good for ya! Haha, but seriously... Why waste your money somewhere else? With Dustin's you know what you're getting and that getting is GOOD!! I do also want to add that I had a question so I called Dustin's: He was so nice and helpful (I got Dustin on the phone)!! I am just so happy when everything goes so well! :)

My plants came in on an extra hot day and half of the plants were heat damaged from the time the package sat on my porch. Josh contacted me with a phone call and gave me some advice to get them going. He even offered me additional plants on my next order even though it wasn't their fault. Followed Josh's advice and they all bounced back and are growing like crazy. It's been about a month and a half and I just did my first rotala and myrio trim. Already trimmed the wisteria 3 times. I'm using one of Dustins LEDs and the growth juice. Great guys Dustin and Josh. Pictures are June 23rd, July 26, August 8th

Everything I bought from Dustin has been great! I will no longer even consider the plants at the local chain stores. I had no melt and everything is thriving. So my experience with Dustin's Fish Tanks started several years ago when I was fighting the dreaded Black Hair Algae aka Black Beard Algae. I had been battling it for years with no success. Then I stumbled upon Dustin's Fish Tanks and through Dustin's guidance, and his products I have all but eliminated my Black Hair Algae problem, you can never totally get rid of it, it is always lurking in the corner waiting to take over your tank. My recent experiences with Dustin have helped me setup my first dirted tank a 55 Gal. I ordered one of his plant packages which make it easy, you just send him some specs about your setup such as size filtration, lighting and your level of experience, and him and Josh (greenhouse manager and right hand man for Dustin) hand pick a selection of plants that will do well for you. My latest interaction with Dustin in Josh revolved around an order of Manzanita Driftwood for my tank. I knew that in order for them to ship me the wood in their standard shipping boxes the wood would have to be cut up and would lose some of its character, so I added a note to my order expressing my concern and looking for a possible solution, I was expecting an email at best, or to be ignored at worse what I did not expect was a phone call from Josh concerning my order and wanting to work out a solution. I did end up paying a bit more for shipping, but nothing unreasonable considering the fantastic driftwood I got for my tank. You will be hard pressed to find a better customer service from anywhere. Dustin and Josh and their whole team are dedicated to the hobby and making your experience in the hobby wonderful. I have followed Dustin for over three years, bought from him both at the Chicago Aquatic Experience shows and online. I have ordered from Dustin three times and all three times have been great. Plants are in great shape when they arrive, the growth juice works wonders and the snails were all alive and healthy. He has good prices and runs some REALLY good deals. If you are looking to buy something he sells, give him a try and he won’t disappoint. Also check out his YouTube channel. I ordered a monthly plant pack from Dustin. To my surprise I got a phone call from Dustin himself asking for the details of my tank (lights, size, fertilizers, etc). He picked out the plants and can't wait for them to grow. The team at Dustin's also answered all my question over email extremely fast many the same day.
